Would not recommend anyone

We stayed 2 nights at this rental on the fourth of July weekend. There were several issues with the place and poor management. 1) It was hard to get inside the apartment as the code that was emailed to us did not work. We had to call their customer service who gave us some instructions and a different code to enter the house. We had to wait for about 30-45 mins outside the door in the extreme hot weather. 2)Then we noticed that the roof of one of the bathrooms started leaking and there was a lot of water on the floor and the instructions we were given was to keep the room temperature above 70 to avoid condensation. 3)The wifi code and password emailed to us did not work. 4)The utensils in the kitchen were not clean and had food residue in them, we had to clean them before using. 5)Someone else had parked in the parking space allotted to us and then we had to call the customer service for help- they asked us to call the towing company to remove the car and did not help us. The location of the rental is good, just a block from the beach. The size of the house is perfect for a family of four-five. The rental already had beach chairs which was helpful as we did not have to purchase rentals.

Filthy property rented without the owner’s knowledge

The apartment was dirty when we checked in. One of the toilets was spattered with feces. Both showers had dirt, hair, and partially used travel sized toiletries. A used towel hung in one of the bathrooms. The other bathroom had one clean towel. The floors were filthy. Dirt, dust, hair, sand, even some pebbles. One of the beds looked slept in. Food crumbs on surfaces. We reached out to the property management company that first day. They assured us that cleaners were coming. The second day and every day after, they assured us that cleaners were coming. No cleaners ever showed. The reps were lying to us. Finally on our last full day, I received a call from the supposed owner. He said it hadn’t been cleaned because he’d sold the property and the listing was supposed to have been taken down. The property shouldn’t have been rented. We paid VRBO and Vacasa good money and they gave us access to a dirty property without the knowledge or permission of the owner. The owner could have shown up at any time and thrown us out or call the cops. Both VRBO and Vacasa said they’re working on this and will make it right but haven’t.

Second stay, great for what we needed

This is the second year we’ve stayed here and it’s all about location— perfect for our annual trip. Parking is a little tight, especially if you have more than one vehicle but it’s always worked out thus far. The condo has all the essentials, it’s clean, and again, convenient to the most popular locations. The beds were comfortable but quite noisy with every little movement (speaking for the twin beds), not sure if it was the mattress or frame but they could use replacing. Otherwise, another great stay and looking forward to next year.
