Stay in this cozy cottage on crystal clear Lake Margrethe with 110’ of frontage and your own private sandy beach and dock! Relax on the deck with provided outdoor furniture or venture down to the lake to soak in the view and/or enjoy a fire in the lakefront fire pit, perfect during any season, and don't forget to look up at the stars!

Enjoy swimming, fishing, grilling, bonfires, or head over to the famous town of Grayling! Breweries, dining, and local shops right in town! Sunset views! Boat launch nearby along with trails to snowmobile or ATV. All the amenities of home in beautiful Northern Michigan!

For those craving an adventure, use our kayaks or paddleboards, bring your boat, check out local State Parks, trail systems, or the Ausable and Manistee Rivers!

Hartwick Pines State Park has hiking, bike trails, a museum, snowshoe trails, XC skiing, hunting, and fishing. Trails range from 3 to 7.5 miles.

Hanson Hills recreational area offers hiking, biking, snow skiing, and snow tubing.

Bryon was nice through his communications with me. His responses were prompt and considerate. I stopped being the point person for our stay and Bryon was courteous and helpful to my replacement. We enjoyed meals around the kitchen table which was reminiscent of our childhood cottage. The kitchen was well stocked. The living area was open and friendly. The loft was large and suited the kids just right. We could see the lake on the deck and enjoyed the red sunset through the trees. The beachfront was perfect. It was sandy and the water was shallow. The dock was sturdy and long and had steps at the end of it. The property was well maintained with beautiful flowers and lush green grass. Thank you Bryon for facilitating a wonderful vacation. To quote one of the children, “This is the best vacation ever!”

Multiple stays, will keep coming back

We’ve stayed at this cottage multiple times and it’s always been a wonderful experience. The cottage is clean and comfortable, the lake and town are beautiful, and the host is fantastic. Everything was perfect, and we’ll definitely be back again.

Wonderful family vacation!

This is a beautiful property and Bryon was very helpful and communicative. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, swimming and got a lot of use out of the kayaks and paddle boards. The cottage had everything we needed and fit all of us very comfortably (family of 7). Will definitely look into booking again.

Such a cute cottage. Sleeps 6 an up comfortably. Beds are very comfy! Very clean, lots of great features, kayaks, fire pit, grill, dock, beach and so many fun things in the area. We enjoyed playing cards and games on the big kitchen table and hanging out by the lake.

Amazing vacation

Beautiful property with easy lake access for our boat. Cottage was exceptionally clean with everything you could ask for to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We had a lovely time and we will be back soon. Thank you to our host Bryon!

Fantastic Cottage, Location and Owner!!!

This was our second time staying here and just like last time, everything was great! Great location, great cottage, great amenities. Bryon is excellent to work with. He went out of his way to accommodate us, and our trip and we couldn't recommend you staying at his cottage enough!

Beautiful Northern Michigan Cabin

Couldn’t have been more pleased with this rental. It had everything we needed. Property owners were helpful and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Northern Michigan!

Nice family retreat.

Owners were very responsive. The VRBO was clean and well stocked. We did not need anything. Nice fire ring and beach access. Lots of outdoor seating and the chairs for fire ring a much appreciated bonus. Plenty of space to sleep, large yard for kids to play and family to gather. We will definitely keep them in mind next time we need a place.
