Beautiful location.

Fantastic old Hawaiian cottage right on the water. Walked to the Puako general store. Good spot for snorkeling.

Great location to get away

Process was easy. The outside seating areas worked for breakfast/lunches looking at the water. Great spot to get away from things. Location was clean and easy for family but did have to watch with many gnats in the area.

Great location

It was very special d/t our mother is 90 yrs old & loves Puako. She was unable to fish but Totally enjoyed her stay! It helped us relive happy times & was a new & awesome experience for our 7 yo grandson!

The Good - The location doesn't get much better than this, we were in the water every day kayaking and snorkeling the reef right out back. The garden and backyard are a little slice of heaven and we spent hours lounging under the tree looking out over the reef watching sunsets and turtles swim by.The Bad - The reef house is old and needs work. It seems like the foundation is cracked all the way through which lets underground critters roam freely into the house. We had multiple encounters for the week we were there. We heard from other locals that there was a rodent problem that time of year. The windows and doors aren't sealed that great either. Geckos can enter at will, which we understand totally, but it looked like gecko dropping had accumulated in corners for months, We ultimately had to ditch the reef house and all cram into the Ohana unit which is only a 1 bedroom. It was tight for the four of us.Overall we still had a magical time there, but I don't think we would go back given the condition of the reef house.

Waterfront Soul

We stayed for one week in this soulful bungalow, birds singing us awake, whales breaching off shore, turtles basking on the reef below, waves lulling us to sleep, and us loving every blessed moment. What a magical place!!! Thank you to all those before who have loved this reef local and special home! And thank you for sharing all of it with us!
