Clean, host responsive, very quiet for the most part, fireplace nice, laundry machines helpful. Just a note for seniors, bathtub is what we would call a soaking tub, high wall to step into. We will rent again.

We had a great experience at this property. It was in an easy location for walking to play at a pinball arcade, mini golf (so fun!), and movie theaters, restaurants, coffee shops. It is also in an easy area for getting around a Portland in a car. They were serious in the listing that we would hear neighbors above. That said, it didn’t bother us as they did a great job of adhering to the quiet hours, and we used a noise machine overnight. We would stay here again!

Excellent stay and convenient! Walking distance to many eateries and the movies! So nice to be able to wash our clothes before heading back to Florida! I would suggest having water heater setting changed as it is VERY hot!

This space is so comfortable. It’s well decorated, has a great location, and is clean. I really enjoyed my stay here. I also found the host to be so helpful. I ran into a couple of issues, and she was quick to respond and was kind (no issues with the property - I just lost the code and left something behind at checkout). This space is loud when there are people upstairs. It did not bother us at all. We did use the provided noise machine. So I think if you are okay with that, then this is an amazing property. We would definitely come here again.

Really nice place

We went to Portland for work and this place is in a great location,close to our job and close to restaurants,stores,bars,also everything went smooth from getting the place to leaving the place great communication,I definitely recommend it

Comfortable Stay

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. Had fun curling up one night with a great movie. The space is beautiful, cozy and a nice location! Highly recommend!

Nice Stay

The house is comfortable, well stocked and warmly decorated. My husband & I even worked from home easily. There are great coffee shops & restaurants nearby. I recommend staying here.

Sorry my trip was so short

I had just one night to spend in the charming St. John’s neighborhood, and this was a perfect one. Quiet, sparkling clean, chic, comfortable, and just a block or two from restaurants and shops. Ticks all the boxes!

Cozy and comfortable

The communication and check-in process were amazing. The property manager allowed us an early check-in which was so helpful. The set-up is perfect since it is a big space with a few separate seating areas. Beautiful updated bathroom

This was the perfect little place for me to meet my best friend for a girls weekend in Portland. It was super clean, beautifully decorated, had all of the necessary amenities and was walking distance to several restaurants, shops and great coffee spots. My only "complaint" was, as the property description mentioned, it was quite noisy when there were people walking around above you and flushing a toilet/running water (it is a basement rental in a very old house). At first we thought it was the owners, which was surprising that they would not be more careful with the noice. But, come to find out, it was another VRBO rental with 7 adults so they had no clue how noisy they were being by just doing normal "quiet" things. The owners did provide a noise machine in the bedroom (which was very helpful and quite soothing) and earplugs (which we didn't use), which was very thoughtful. I would definitely stay here again.

Chic and comfortable apartment!

Husband and I had a great time Memorial Day weekend at this chic, comfortable and immaculately clean basement apartment! Was nice to have a bedroom, living room and kitchen- we didn’t cook anything but the kitchen has all the supplies to do so if you want- we did use the table to play board games!

Crazy loud

It was unbearably loud, impossible to sleep. The upstairs neighbors weren’t doing anything unreasonable…just having fun…but the four of us downstairs suffered greatly…even after I went up to ask them to turn off their music.

Perfection -- unless you are tall

This property is a delight -- unless you are very tall! So convenient to our family and all that St. Johns and Portland has to offer, wonderfully designed, decorated and equipped. We particularly liked the king sized bed, the luxury of in-unit laundry, and the abundance of cozy throws. However . . . The ceilings are quite low throughout the unit, and are even lower in some areas because of the support beams, to the degree that my 6'6" husband would hit his head unless he ducked. Nonetheless, we highly recommend this property for "normal sized" people.
