Located directly on spectacular Tonggs Beach, this posh 3BR/2.5BA home looks fresh from the pages of a design magazine. Listed on the State Register of Historic Places, this architecturally significant Gingerbread Home has been beautifully updated with modern appointments including custom furnishings and a gourmet kitchen.
Walk right down to the crystal-clear waters and admire fabulous sunsets from three private lanais. Enjoy an oceanfront cookout in the charming courtyard or unwind into vacation mode from the comfort of the primary suite -- which occupies the entire top floor.
Your picturesque Diamond Head locale is a short stroll from upscale eateries, beach parks, tennis courts, the Waikiki Aquarium, and the Honolulu Zoo.
LIVING AREA
The sun-soaked living room is appointed with multiple sitting areas, a 65” smart TV, and a covered oceanfront lanai.
KITCHEN & DINING
Indulge your inner chef in the sleek gourmet kitchen, detailed with helpful gadgets and a full suite of modern appliances -- including a Viking range.
Sip morning coffee at the breakfast bar for two, then sit down to a tasty meal at the dining table for four.
BED & BATH
Occupying the entire top floor, the tranquil primary suite provides a king bed, twin daybed, private oceanfront lanai, and en-suite bath with a walk-in shower. This flexible space offers a reading nook or can be configured as a bonus sleeping space.
The second bedroom also includes a king bed, twin daybed, and private oceanfront lanai, while the third bedroom holds two twin daybeds and a twin trundle. (These bedrooms do not have closets and are closed off by pocket doors.)
The guest bath has a roomy dual-head shower. An additional half bath provides convenience.
OUTDOOR AREA & AMENITIES
Make use of a gas grill and enjoy meals at the patio table for four. (The grill and beachfront courtyard are shared with the adjacent home.)
EXTRA PERKS & MORE DETAILS
Complimentary Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer, and private garage parking for one vehicle are provided. Street parking may be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
This rental does not have central heating.
Please note that a relative of the homeowner lives in the house that shares the courtyard.

Situated directly on the Tonggs Beach ocean wall, this surfers’ paradise is steps from soft sands and azure waters. (Please note that this neighborhood hotspot brings frequent foot traffic to watch the surf and sunset.) Your incredible locale also provides high walkability to scenic beach parks, the Waikiki Aquarium, and the Honolulu Zoo.
The Kapi’olani Regional Park Tennis Courts and Diamond Head Tennis Center are within a short stroll. Hike with ease to the best view on the island -- the Diamond Head trailhead is a 2.8-mile drive.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. This rental is located on floor 1.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Lovely with some suggestions.
My husband and I have used VRBO for our last few vacations. We are careful to read descriptions and reviews. We chose this house as we needed the room and location as we were here to celebrate our son’s wedding.
Overall, this house was beautiful with outstanding views. Location was just as described. Enjoyed the surfers each morning while having our morning coffee on the balcony/lanai.
With that being said, I do have a couple of suggestions. A vacuum cleaner or some type of sweeper is needed for a quick cleanup. Had my son and groomsmen there to dress. Would have been nice to just do a quick vacuum. Also, a new ironing board is desperately needed. Thank goodness I brought a steamer. Had to steam and press wedding and rehearsal attire.
Third floor outdoor furniture needs either new cushions or needs to be totally replaced, Quite dated and Cushion on one chair was totally frayed. Had to turn it over and cover with a towel.
We also had an issue with the alarm system. Handyman was there several times to try and fix to no avail. Alternate arrangements had to be made for entry.

We absolutely loved this house! It was perfect for our family of 4 teenagers. It's located about a 15 - 20 walk from Waikiki beach, the walk is easy, mostly along the park. You can sit on the deck in the morning and drink your coffee, you can sit on the deck during the day and watch boats, ships, surfers, airplanes and helicopters. You can also sit on the deck at night with a glass of wine or whiskey and watch the beautiful sunset. If your looking for more of a private get-away, this is the place for you. The neighbors are wonderful, especially the aunt that lives next door.

Diamond Head Vacation
The property was absolutely perfect, exactly as advertised. It was well maintained and very functional, met all our desires and needs. Not to detract in any way from what a great property this is, I would suggest providing Toilet cleaning tools and supplies in each bathroom, and getting all of the Refrigerator drawers operational.

Wonderful Home and Location
We had such a wonderful stay at the Gingerbread home. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in this area. The views from the three separate balconies are unbeatable. We have three kids ranging in age from 1-6 and I felt totally comfortable with them on each of the balconies. I cant say enough about this spot, super sweet, charming and unparalleled views of the water.
