We very much enjoyed our stay. What a gem of a place. All of the best wineries are no more than 10 minutes away!! The home was very clean and updated . We had everything we needed . Definitely a nice place to sit and enjoy that morning coffee and relax!
House was very clean. Newly updated and super cute. I would recommend this property!! Very close to multiple winerys and about 18 minutes from Geneva on the lake. Great weekend!! Owners were very good communicators!!
Very clean property that is pet friendly. This cottage sits right on the Grand River which made it such a peaceful experience. The owners were in communication often to make sure we had everything we needed. Far enough away from things to be relaxing but no more than 20 minutes from the nearest store.
My husband and I and our two adult children enjoyed the covered outdoor deck, since it rained much of the time. The neighborhood is quiet, so it’s easy to hear the birds, and we even had a woodpecker with us one evening. We visited many of the nearby wineries and had a very relaxing time. Beds are comfortable, too!
For an impromptu family getaway, Rivers Nest is a quaint hideaway. Nestled in a quiet spot in the heart of Genevas wine country, this cottage is a family friendly retreat. Wether it’s wine, Bourbon (Red Eagle distillery) or if you’re more of the outdoors type the re are plenty of parks (Lake Erie Metroparks) to choose from for your next outdoor adventure. Rivers Nest is deceivingly spacious and has great amenities with a huge front lawn, and an amazing covered back deck that overlooks the Grand River. Literally minutes away from some of the historic covered bridges, Rivers Nest is a great escape. Pet friendly and the host is responsive and friendly. Highly recommended.
Val and John are the nicest people! The property is beautiful and so peaceful. We have gone there 2 years in a row while our son was a Spire Acadamy and we wouldn't stay any place else!
I absolutely loved the deck and the view of the river we enjoyed grilling out and having fires and relaxing the house was beautiful and exactly like the listing and our dogs loved it as well! Will definitely stay again loved it
Just retired, I wanted to take a short trip to chill and decompress. I brought my close friend and my dog. Rivers Nest met all our needs. Check-in was very simple. Owner was very communicative. Sitting on the covered deck watching the birds and river was just what I needed. And of course, you are very close to many great wineries. I highly recommend.
My husband and I as well as our two fur-babies had a really nice time at the Rivers Nest. It was our 35th wedding anniversary and Valarie had a card and freshly made cookies waiting for us when we arrived. Those little touches go a long way. The house was clean and very welcoming. We plan to go back again and again!
