Our home has been in our family since 1975. It has been a family home, vacation retreat, a bed and breakfast for over 15 years, and a private rental.
We have made many improvements over the years and take pride in welcoming you to our home.
Our unique log construction, majestic pine trees, quality furnishings, and convenient location to downtown make our home well worth it!
Our fly fishing group was very happy with the cabin. It is spacious, rustic, and has all necessary amenities. It took us about one hour to get from the cabin to the Ah-Di-Na campground on the McCloud primarily because there is a 7 mile stretch of dirt road that has to be negotiated carefully. If you are coming from points South you can fish the Upper Sac on your way to McCloud.
There were nine of us attending a conference in Shasta city. We had two couples and 5 for singles. Bedroom and bathroom arrangement accommodated us all. However the bathrooms are a little quirky. House furnished very nicely and extremely clean. Plenty of parking spaces. Quick walk to town. We would stay here again if needed.
My husband and I stayed here for a last minute getaway weekend. The house can accommodate several people. Next time we will invite some friends! We had a relaxing weekend here and enjoyed the small town of McCloud. There is a little restaurant you can walk to for breakfast and lunch. There are neighbors, but the neighborhood was very quiet. We will definitely visit this house again. Thank you!
This was an amazing home to stay in. Lots of room for everyone (we had 10+ people) and everything we needed was available to us. Things like an iron and ironing board, laundry soap, extra towels, nice wine glasses, plenty of deck furniture, etc. It was within walking distance to the wedding we attended and to the quaint little downtown area. It was also a short drive out to McCloud Falls which were beautiful.
Pros: beautiful log home, awesome deck for gathering, lots of supplies & dishes, plenty of rooms/baths, near town, shady and cool even during a hot month, very responsive and helpful owners.
Cons: a few dead ants/bugs in neglected corners, very "loved" couches in living room, oven didn't work well (they said it is being replaced).
Overall, we would definitely recommend this home. I had made the arrangements for our group and everyone was impressed and enjoyed our time there. All of us agreed that the price was fantastic and we couldn't have found rooms in town for even close to what we paid. We would love to visit McCloud again and would absolutely consider staying here in the future.
Thank you for sharing your home with us! :)

We have stayed in many vacation homes and this was one of the best. We had a mix of couples and kids and the bedrooms and baths facilities were better than we usually find. When we arrived we found the home clean and the kitchen well stocked with necessary cooking utensils. All communication with the owners was prompt and to the point. Spent a lot of time on the large tree shaded deck. It was an easy walk to the local grocery store for supplies. There is a nearby museum that we found very interesting. Activities included hiking, boating and horseback riding. All of our group had a great time. To find anything negative, one would have to be awfully picky.
We met some friends for the weekend and fond a well kept log home with ample room for ten, many of which were children. The ambiance was pleasant, with a large living room centered around the fireplace making a natural socialization spot while the ample bathrooms meant not too much togetherness. The cabin is located in town and there is an estate across the road which appears to be in a state of restoration. The location was safe an quiet with no disturbances. The owners were pleasant and responsive and although there were technical shortcomings (the oven) they seemed to be aware of the problem and working to resolve it. This home will be our first stop for our next event in the area.
