This was our second year there and it just leaves us in awe every time, so beautiful and peaceful. The house is huge and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Living room floor to ceiling windows make waking up to the sunrise amazing! Creek in the back is a great place to just sit with a cup of coffee and relax. The area has a great organic grocery market and a great restaurant called Baldovinos! Hiking and lake swimming are all just few miles away and a great drive. See you next year!!

Our group has been blessed to stay here multiple times! This year was another great visit. The place is always well maintained and cared for. Well stocked kitchen and awesome views. Walter is GREAT to work with and very quick to respond. We had to modify our visit this year and Walter went above and beyond to help us make our visit work with our changing schedule! Lord willing, we will be coming back again next year,!

Stunning Views From Picture Windows!

We were extremely happy with our stay in Walter's home.It truly felt like our home away from home. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was great and the location superb!!! We spent 9 nights and could easily have stayed longer. Each day we hiked in amazing locations and werehappy to return "home" to a cup of tea, sitting in the rocking chairs looking at the beautiful surroundings. It was easily one of the most relaxing and peaceful holidays we've had. Walter was a wonderful host, he provided information prior to our visit and was available during the stay if we needed him. Thank you Walter, for sharing your beautiful home!

Perfect Cabin and location

Great cabin for group of 9 guys on a golf vacation. Located in quiet meadow surrounded by trees. We all enjoyed staying here and owner was fabulous. Will look to come back next year.

Heaven sent from booking reservation to checking out

The property host was probably one of the best I have worked with. He made us feel so welcome and provided all the information needed for our stay. The home is very clean, nice and welcoming. The views from the were amazing. The home is not only exactly as described but better! Kitchen is well stocked. Home is comfy especially the beds. Easily accommodated our family of 7 adults, 1 child and 1 dog. Cool creek! Loved the wildlife especially the deer. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Love, love, love this place. Perfect

I could have written this on the second day, absolutely wonderful, peaceful, clean, comforting and beautiful property. They had everything you could possibly want and need both on property and in the area. The creek and trees on the property are breathtaking, it’s close to town and grocery stores. This by far was the best place to spend a vacation. Thank you!!!

Relaxing & Secluded

Nice property with plenty of space between cabins to get that remote feeling. The creek was full and all the plants were lush. We saw deer both in the morning and evening. It is a forest so not for the faint of heart as there was plenty of bugs around the cabin.

Wonderful McCloud Experience

We really loved the McCloud cabin! It’s very pretty, homey, well-appointed and in a great, woodsy, location. I think it’s a perfect spot for friends and family to enjoy an extended stay to fish, hike or just explore the area. Communication with our host was prompt and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back, hopefully this fall.

I have rented so many homes, northern California, Oregon, Washington, and this just a gift from heaven. The big wonderful windows facing the forest are breathtaking. The only problem is I want to see it every day of the seasons. Anyone that has ever rented a home will find this a pleasure. I hope more renters go to other homes to get ideas. thank you very very much for this wonderful experience.

Clean & comfortable

House on the meadow definitely met our needs & expectations. The house itself was very clean (coming from my wife who has some OCD!) and comfortable. Four bedrooms, 2 baths that fit 6 of us with one room to spare. We were very comfortable, the neighborhood was peaceful & off the beaten path. They house was very cozy & comfortable. Temp was moderated by the host & we all were perfect temp wise with an evening fire. Loved the big windows, especially the non-skiers that stayed back & relaxed in the quietness. Walter was also very responsive & kind. We will definitely be back next ski season!

We purchased this 2.5 acre lot back in 1973 and spent years camping in the meadow. After the kids got old enough to complain about camping AND could afford to help pay for a mortgage ... we built this wonderful vacation home. Now, we spend winters skiing at Mt. Shasta and summers fishing the McCloud and other area rivers. The town is absolutely wonderful. Don't miss this!

Squaw Valley creek runs through the property on the other side of the meadow with its own huge fire pit. Big windows and so close to town, golf, biking, fishing, skiing/boarding, swimming, rock climbing, shopping, day tripping, and so much more. The house boasts red pine floors, granite counters, plenty of parking for you and your boat, a spacious deck for entertaining and BBQs, room for horseshoes or Wiffle ball, quiet neighbors, big meadow-view windows, 2 couches for relaxing, Bluetooth stereo, WiFi, satellite TV, extra sleds and saucers … and serenity galore!
