牧草地を見下ろすポーチでコーヒーを飲みながら一日をスタートし、山を照らす朝日を楽しんでください。この家は、街の中心から数ブロックの場所にあり、ギャラリーやお店があります。家は数年前に完全に改装されており、明るく晴れています。
元の改装されたモミの床は、リビングルームとダイニングルームを補完します。インテリアは上品に装飾され、とても魅力的です。
キッチンにはオリジナルのシュガーパインカウンターがあり、大勢の人をホストするのに必要なものがすべて揃っています。バーベキューはバックポーチにあり、パティオエリアはイベントの準備ができています。

Chasing Waterfalls in NorCa

The house is charming and comfortable. It was very neat and clean. We used it as our “base camp” and were able to visit 8 waterfalls on our trip. The host was easy to work with and left clear instructions regarding the house. The house was chocked full of beautiful antiques and cool knick knacks which added to the charm and homey feeling. We would stay here again and will recommend it to our friends.

Beautiful Home with Great Amenities

We stayed for a couple nights, and the host was very easy to communicate with. It was a great spot to meet friends with a nice backyard area and it is a short walk to town. Parking is convenient and views of Mt. Shasta are stunning. I would definitely stay here again next time we make the trip to McCloud!

Charming and comfortable

My husband and I enjoyed our annual trip to McCloud and this sweet home. A view of Mt Shasta out back was a nice bonus. The home was stocked with kitchen tools needed to make cooking simple. Close walk to downtown, very peaceful, and the owner was quick to reply to questions and even allowed us to arrive early. Very reasonably priced for offering so many beds and large, homey space. Loved it!

mini vacation in McCloud

This home was very clean and neat. We found it equipped with every thing we could possibly need for our stay. It was just a step out the back door and across the street to our event at the Mercantile. We will be back!

Perfect house for our family

This home was perfect for our stay in McCloud. Plenty of everything for cooking at home and sitting outside at the fire pit was great family time. Walking distance to everything in town.

Peaceful

House is well decorated and cozy. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Surrounding scenery is very beautiful and offers some nice hiking to the falls. We really enjoyed our evenings visiting around the fire in the backyard. A very nice trip.

A nice little visit home

Very nice and cozy place to call home for a few days. Well stocked kitchen (in terms of pots and pans, plates, flatware, etc.) Beautiful, large backyard that we did get any use of because it was winter, but would be lovely in the summer. Thanks!

Comfortable and homey

We spent 3 nights in this beautiful home during a major atmospheric storm. Unfortunately we were not able to do all the outdoor stuff we had planned but luckily we were able to comfortably relax, cook, sleep, play games, watch TV in this very cute house. We loved the decorations and antique furniture. We had a very nice stay.

Most amazing house

The house was amazing. Classic in every way. Every possible utensils available. We really felt at home.We only had one issue, the hot water wasn’t very hot. We were only able to take one shower in lukewarm water. Hot water alone was enough to wash dishes, but the shower was a combo faucet and it was too cold. As we were there for a memorial, we didn’t reach out to ask for assistance- that was my fault.If we could have taken the time to enjoy the rest of the property, the back yard was perfect for sitting out and enjoying the night air. But it was way too cold to do that.Thank you for sharing such a fantastic home with us. We will use the house again!

Charming Comfortable Home

This house was even nicer than pictured in the photos. The connected living room and dining room created a nice big open space to eat and hang out. The beds were very comfortable and the house contained everything we needed. The location is wonderful. You can easily walk to all the businesses in McCloud. And it is an easy drive to all the best local hiking. I highly recommend this property.

Fiddlers Rest

This home was exactly what we were looking for when we booked. The home was very spacious and had plenty of room for our group of 5. The backyard was great with the table, chairs, and fire pit. The location was perfect. Only a few minutes walk from the Mercantile, museum, coffee and outdoor shop, and Frosty. I can not stay enough how peaceful this location was. No noise whatsoever. I highly recommend the Simpsons home for your next stay. I will try and book here again for our next trip.

This was a first visit to the Shasta area and a first family vacation together. Overall we were pleased and comfortable with this home , but we also noticed right away that it wasn’t what the pictures led us to believe.

family wedding

the house served our purpose of being close to the McCloud Hotel for a family wedding well. It would have been nice if the rear yard had been cleaned up of the rotting apples, and there needs to be a way to turn off the light string, as it disrupted the views of the stars, and glared into the house all night.

Father-Daughter weekend in McCloud

We loved this house in McCloud. It is so well located close to town, and the house itself is so comfortable and welcoming. The beds were super comfortable, which is hard to find in a rental, and the livingroom and kitchen are great spaces for hanging out. The front porch worked great for our late afternoon happy hours after a day of hiking and exploring. And, there is a clawfoot tub, which was a real treat. Both my Dad and I were sad to leave. We'll definitely be back!! Thanks for taking such great care of this house and making it such a great place to stay for those of us who can only visit!

Wonderful!

My wedding was in McCloud and my fiance and I were looking for a place to rent where we could be close to our wedding site. I'm not a fan of hotels and feel they lack privacy and attention to detail, so I put him up to the task to find a place in McCloud where we stay without breaking the bank. This was the perfect place. The house was large, but so cozy and very clean! The owners were very helpful while booking this place and advising us of certain things to know about McCloud. My parents came over to chat after our wedding and loved the place as well, so I would have no problem recommending this place to anyone I know.

Expectations met and exceeded pretty much sums up our stay at Fiddler's Rest!

It was getting dark by the time we arrived and just as I began picturing myself fumbling with a lockbox by the light of my cell phone we rounded the corner only to see the front porch lit up with strand lights – very nice! Once inside we were honestly blown away, every room was nicely furnished and very clean. The WiFi worked great and the TV with Roku meant no shortage of shows to watch, plus there were plenty of books and magazines to read. The neighborhood was very quiet and we slept like babies. Trust me, we didn’t want to leave! A big thanks to owner Linda for replying to my random questions and for sending an unexpected message letting me know there would be a festival going on during our stay in McCloud. We look forward to staying here again soon!

Bergen short stay

We were disappointed in the state of the front yard..just dry weeds..not good curb appeal. Strange that the only refrigerator is through a closed door in the laundry room. Experienced some big black spiders in the house. But..... we enjoyed ourselves very much. The ambiance in the house is peaceful, quiet and we had everything we needed. It is decorated "eclectic" style and fun. We enjoyed all the antique touches from the furniture to the doorknobs! But, fix the yard......had we seen an upclose picture online of the front yard, we would not have reserved this house. Thanks............Pat Bergen

Loved this house!

My husband and I stayed at this house during the end of Sept. for five days. My brothers stayed at a RV park just down the street and this proved to be a very convenient location. We had three family dinners at the house because it was so roomy and inviting. When we first walked in the house I just said "Wow! This is beautiful!" I love older homes (when they are cared for) and this one has been restored beautifully. It retains the great character of its time but has all the conveniences you could want. Totally loaded kitchen. I can't imagine needing anything else. Beds were good. Clawfoot tub in one bath and a shower in the other. I really wasn't crazy about the shower head, felt like needles on my face but turn your head a different way and the water can run down your face without the streams hitting the skin, minor inconvenience. Really roomy living area. Quiet yet in town. Fantastic views of the mountain. Beautifully decorated. Our favorite house we've rented through VRBO!! Owners were helpful and responsive with my inquiries before I arrived and the property manager/cleaning person (Katie) was great too.

Sweet comforts of home in charming McCloud

Our stay was over an extended weekend of dear, old friends, coming together to bask in the beauty of the region while flyfishing on some legendary rivers. This sweet, little home was filled with heart and soul… it was immaculate, yet not sterile. The comforts and warmth of home was found across the eclectic array of furniture… mostly farnerhousy and selected for maximum coziness. The kitchen had all the foundations for cooking of a thoughtful meal. The bathrooms delivered the high level of cleanliness and organization one would hope for, and the towels were soft, fresh and inviting.I want to note that because everything was clearly explained electronically, I did not require additional communication with the owners… this is why “good” was the rating I gave under communication… *not* for any lack on the owners part.If you’re ever in the area and seek the coziness of home, this is the place!

We had a great stay, but the house had no hot water. We all took cold showers and a couple of did not shower as it was just too cold. We didn’t even have warm water to wash the dishes we used.
