Tucked into the woods — with seasonal views of Bald Mountain Lake and mountains beyond — this creek-side cabin is the quiet version of the Lake Lure dream: private, warm, and a scenic three-minute drive from Rumbling Bald Resort. Wood floors, a stone fireplace, and a screened porch built for slow mornings. Sleeps up to eight - two bedrooms/two bathrooms plus a queen sofa bed. A fully stocked kitchen handles real meals, and the king suite opens onto its own stretch of the wraparound deck.
EVENTS - JULY & AUGUST 2026:
Rumbling Bald's biggest Fourth of July fireworks show lit up the lake this year, and the music doesn't stop after the holiday — Karaoke Night turns adults-only after 8pm every other Wednesday on the Lakeview Terrace all summer long. Twenty minutes away in Asheville, catch the Asheville Comedy Festival (Aug 6–8) or the multi-venue AVL Sounds Fest (Aug 6–9), with outdoor concerts at Hellbender and Pack Square Park running most weekends through August. This is also a great time to catch our early-bird rates for long-term stays – perfect for temporary or remote workers.
THE TOUR:
Arrive at the spacious parking area and step onto the screened porch — a relaxing hangout with rocking chairs, a swing, ceiling fans, Ring the Bull, and an outdoor TV. Enjoy breakfast at the patio table on the expansive back deck which connects to a small fenced area for the pups.
Inside, unwind in the living room with a wood burning fireplace, TV, and queen sleeper sofa. The breakfast table seats eight beside a sunny window nook, and the updated kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and gathering. Indoor grill only.
The master bedroom features a king bed, full bath, and doors to the wraparound deck. The second bedroom includes a TV, a bunk with a double below, twin above, and twin trundle, plus a second full bath off the hall.
Follow the steps beside the porch to a picnic table and fire pit while you enjoy beautiful views and the sounds of the creek.

Hike Chimney Rock State Park, spend the day in Asheville, or check out the nearby vineyards. The wider area is still rebuilding in pockets after 2024's Hurricane Helene, so feel free to ask us for the status on anything within or beyond the resort itself.
