This is a perfect place to stay if you’re attending an event at Rumbling Bald. Very close, yet away from the crowd. It was very peaceful and we loved the porches.

Excelente place to disconnect from everything! Beautiful cabin, whit a lot to do inside and outside the cabin.
We fell in love with this charming cottage. It’s small but spacious enough for our group of 2 adults and 3 teenagers. It had all of the amenities we needed for our stay. We would definitely rent this property again.

The property was beautiful. Well stocked kitchen, cute decor, and plenty of space to sit around outside. Host were great at responding to queastions and very welcoming. We enjoyed our trip there and would definitely recommend.
Enjoyed our stay at the cabin in the Lake Lure area. Explored Chimney Rock, the lake, and waterfalls in Brevard. Had fun playing games at the cabin in the evening and sitting in the screened in porch. The passes included to Rumbling Bald Resort were used quite a bit!

We very much enjoyed this cabin! It was very clean, quiet and cozy! We have stayed at several different cabins in this area over the past several years and this one was the best of the bunch! We appreciate a rental that accepts our furry family member as our dog enjoyed her stay as well! The communication with the owner was top notch as they answered all of my questions. Would highly recommend this cabin and we are already making plans to rent again next year!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. The property was very clean and a gear location. The resort amenities were a great bonus! The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed including modern kitchen appliances, lots of games and activities for the kids, and comfy beds! The wood burning fireplace was my personal favorite! So nice to cozy up by the fire. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at this property. It was very well furnished with literally everything you need for a fun time at Lake Lure. The owners were very easy to contact and responded promptly. The cabin was clean and private. The pictures were accurate and represent the cabin well. Access to Rumbling Bald turned out to be central to our stay. We used the facilities and rentals there. It was great fun! We hope to be back again!

Great and senic cabin close to everything. Very clean. Love the screened in porch. Felt like you were on top of mountain but really just of the main road. We have two dogs and they had plenty of room. Saw deer and a young black bear on the mountain roads

We really enjoyed our stay at The Cabin in the woods. The cabin was stocked with everything we could possibly need. We used the fireplace every night, spent some time relaxing on the front porch with the dogs. Very peaceful and quiet spot. Make sure you eat at the Lake House & The Highlands Kitchen & Bar, great food and ambiance and they were closest to the cabin on the mountain. We did a few day trips over to Burntshirt Vineyards, Sierra Nevada, and of course Chimney Rock area. Thanks to the owners for providing such a cute cabin to stay in!

My husband & I had 2 teenagers, 9 & 7 yr olds with us and they loved everything about it. They wanted to move there!! I would definitely recommend lake lure to anyone looking for a fun getaway!! Everything about the whole process was so easy from booking to checkout! We will definitely be back!! Our only regret was we didn’t stay longer!!

Hi Cindy, we're disappointed you didn't enjoy the cabin. We did not find any leaks in the ceiling, and we would have gladly checked during your stay if we had known the concern. Although it is thoroughly cleaned after each stay, we have addressed the concerns about the pollen on the screened porch. We hope you enjoyed other parts of your stay and wish you a happy retirement!
We had an amazing relaxing family weekend stay! The cabin was immaculate and the supplies plentiful. I’ll know next time to only pack personal essentials. There were so many great things that set this cabin above the rest. Comfortable beds, private setting, resort passes included in rental (pool, lake beach access, splash pad, lazy river, hot tub etc), games, extra bedding, high chair, every kitchen appliance and utensils you would need. But my favorite was all the porches. Namely the screened front porch. Pictures do not do this listing justice. We will be back and can’t wait!

This was a wonderful place to stay! The cabin was fantastic and the property was amazing! From the screened in porch with games for the whole family to the amazing woods surrounding the cabin, we had a most excellent time. Very dog friendly with a fantastic area for them to be leash free. Can’t say enough good things and we are already planning our next stay!
Great cabin which was well equipped with the small extras for the kids. They even had a bag of bath toys and a few kids cups available. The road was closed between the resort and the cabin. Which resulted in a 10-15 min drive on a poorly marked detour. Obviously nothing the owners can do about that, but I believe is was going to be a few weeks- months before it will be fixed. Once that is fixed, the location would be great to visit Rambling Bald resort
Home was as advertised. Lovely porches, decks, quiet solace. Well stocked home. We cooked half of our meals in the cabin. The girls loved the bunk beds. We hiked Chimney Rock, Riverside Riding stable 2 hr tour is a must. We enjoyed the firepit and carved pumpkins one evening on the back deck. Lots of exercise and then back to the cabin for rest, relaxation and laughter. Thank you Dear Host !!
