Tucked along the lake but only five minutes from local stores and restaurants, this cozy lake house offers an easy, comfortable place to slow down and spend time together. Wake up to water views, listen to the loons, and end the day around the fire with marshmallows and unforgettable lakeside sunsets.

In the warmer months, enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and boating, with a public boat launch just down the road. Bring your own boat or spend the day exploring the lake at a slower pace.

When the weather turns, the fun does not stop. The property is close to snowmobile and ATV trails, with access to several popular trail-side restaurants. Enjoy sledding, skiing, cozy fires, and a true Maine winter getaway.

We stayed here for 5 nights. It was great to have the AC on the days that the humidity was up, plus the washer/dryer was convenient. The lake was clean, not too noisy, fun to swim. We used the canoe quite a bit, one paddle was good but the other was warped and thus hard to use. Fishing was ok, we caught tons of sunfish and bass, but nothing else. Communication with the hosts was easy and quick. Wifi worked well, easy to get to from the highway, not far from town which has all the shops one needs.The pots/pans were not great. As with most Airbnb/VRBO rentals, they had the random assortment of mismatched pots/pans, several without lids, many were beat up non-stick ones that had lots of scratches and were warped. For the money, it would be nice if the cookware was of better quality. Also, a lot of random plastic containers that at one time probably had dips/veggies from the grocery store? There were multiple blender types though.The fire pit had some trash in it, and generally looked like it could use a cleaning up.The main beds were comfy, but the pillows in the loft could do with being replaced. Also, the couch is showing its age.Overall, we liked it, would recommend others to go, just bring your own cookware (a lesson I never seem to learn).

A weekend in July

We could not have been more impressed with this stay. The location on the lake and the amenities provided were perfect. Despite being in town for a ceremony, we were able to utilize the kayaks, dock and fireplace to make the stay so fun and relaxing. 10/10 would visit again if we can.

peace and quiet

i have never had such a quiet time wlhen staying at a lake home. we ha d the use of kayaks and canoe to paddle on the lake. a dock to swim off deck to sun our selves. our daughter and our grand children were with us. they went hiking at arcadia park and at baxter state park. but the camp made the whole thing it was just as advertised.

snowmobile trip

trip was great cabin was small but hojsed 5 grown men with alot of gear just fine, beds were comfortable but do have to be a smaller adult for loft beds, as for riding trail head was hars to find but with help from local friendly neighbors we found it and had a great few days of riding plus it was nice being so close to town with powersports shops and walmart and grocery store dunks gas everything you could need we had a great time here and will be back next season.

The "kottage" location is PRIME! You are so close to so many quintessential Maine experiences. The VIEW. The SUNSETS & SUNRISES. The perfect mix of rural adventure with the comforts of modern living. Access is also amazing, no rocky camp roads to navigate!
