About the property

Cabin, 5 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 5.5 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12)

Over 110 windows opens this cabin to the outdoors like no other cabin can.

A fully equipped puppet theater, 80' projection screen, surround sound by Bose, cookware by Calphalon, 5 full and 2 half baths. Custom hardwood installation including inlaid medallions throughout. Decks which tower into the treetops, overlooking the trout stream which runs through the center of Gatlinburg. In short, a no-expense-spared custom cabin in one of the most historic of Gatlinburg's neighborhoods. The 10' 18th century stained glass window is in the first hint that that this cabin is really special. Finished with cedar shake, stone & log corners, and log railing. The Queen of Gatlinburg combines the best of cabin and Arts & Crafts architecture.

Each bedroom is spacious, features a king size bed and has its own private and spacious bathroom with inlaid slate and tile, antique vanities and oversize custom showers. Two great rooms accommodate large groups, and include a slate pool table, Bose surround sound systems integrated with the 80 inch Projection TV and high quality furnishings. Amaze your younger crowd with the fully equipped custom puppet theater located behind the projection screen, or take them down the street to the river for fishing or swimming. We can assist with trout stamp/license information for the fishermen in your group. The river is stocked with trout once per week for the majority of the year. Adults will truly appreciate the spaciousness of all living areas.

At well over 4,000 sqft this lodge will never leave you feeling cramped with larger groups, and features three levels of decks with each bedroom having access to the deck. Aside from the huge stained glass church window, another 40 plus antique stained glass windows accent the interior and exterior walls and offers that old world charm. Other antiques fill out much of the décor, but with modern lodge-style furnishing for comfort. A close walk to downtown attractions, the Queen of Gatlinburg is convenient but privately situated above all other surrounding properties, literally towing into the treetops. This brand new, custom cabin offers the very best in Gatlinburg accommodations...sure to become a favorite for large family vacations, church retreats, and corporate getaways in the Smokies.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our visit was way more than we could have hoped for! I had researched, and agonized over dozens of cabins for our "Spring Fling"! W e had 2 families coming from Vermont and 2 from Florida. We were awestruck with the amenities! The game room way exceeded our kids needs. We didn't even know they were in the building. The bedrooms and private baths were a luxury. The INSTANT hot water spoiled us to the ninth degree. The ample parking space was wonderful.

The cabin was so well decorated and appointed, we didn't even know we were in a rental. The 3 levels made naps and music and movies in the screen room so private, we didn't even know we were all in one county.

One of the kids even loved the puppet theater so much, she made a private bedroom in the back of the theater.

On the 3rd day I called about us placing our overblown garbage somewhere else and within minutes, someone was there to remove it. We cooked and ate and visited and made so many memories...we will never forget what y'all made possible for us.

Again, thanks so much.

Queen of Gatlinburg is AWESOME

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this home, the "Queen of Gatlinburg" was above our expectations. We had different friends from other states meet us to celebrate my Birthday and is was very enjoyable. Everyone commented on how wonderful this house was. We had a very memorial time. We are already making plans for a return trip to stay here again.

Amazing Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My group of buddies has stayed at this cabin two time now. Each time it is a great experience. The cabin is very nice with all of the amenities you would want. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay close to downtown.

The property was really great! Especially for families getting together with the kids!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was awesome, very spacious if you have a large group or family. The new addition spa/pool was very enjoyable as well. The location was perfect too, with a very quick walk to traffic light 2 we hopped on the trolley and visited all of Gatlinburg. We would love to stay here again

Great rental with a few drawbacks

  • 4 of 5

This is a wonderful spacious house with plenty of room for the whole family in a lovely setting. While we had no children with us, it had a bonus room with everything a child (or child at heart) would need to stay happily occupied.

The property is very close to main road into Gatlinburg so noise is a problem when using the decks.

First suggestion: Erect signs to guide guests more easily to this property. Second: Replace the pull out bed. It is totally unusable. Third: Add more lights in the kitchen. You need a miner's lamp to use it. An addition of more towels and better bedside lighting would be a plus.

Very spacious!

  • 3 of 5

This is a very spacious cabin. My family and I really enjoyed staying here. I wouldn't say it was my favorite cabin that we have stayed at but it was probably the most spacious cabin we have rented and we have rented probably 30 or more. The little ones enjoyed the outside play area. I felt the cabin was clean. However, some of the bedding needs updating. My husband and I slept on the main floor and that bed is on it's last leg. The sleeper sofa in the living room is broken and needs to be repaired or replaced. Some of the pots and pans need to be replaced and more towels and especially wash clothes need to be added. We had 2 wash clothes in our room and there wasn't any in the cubbie with the towels. The outside animal proof trash can was broken. But all of these things we could live with. The one thing I really didn't like was the fact that this cabin is surrounded by permanent residents and I got the feeling that they are resentful toward the renters. On Saturday night our group was sitting on the back porch just talking and as with most large families, we did get a little loud. Someone below us came out and told us to shut up because they lived there and unlike us, weren't on vacation. It was only 9:00. We did not have any loud music playing. As a matter of fact, most of the noise was coming from a cottage below us. This all being said.....I would probably rent this cabin again. It wouldn't be on my top 5 but I will for sure add it to my list.
