Property was great from the river in the back to a huge fenced area for the dogs to run. Location was nicely secluded yet centrally located for multiple day trips.

Thank you, Tim for your nice comments. You are welcome back anytime!
The cabin was nice and cozy and very well insulated but it could use better lighting throughout the cabin but the property was fantastic lots of space and privacy for our labs to run and play.We had a great week of relaxing and the labs had a wonderful time running and playing in the river. The host was very easy to contact if needed. We will definitely revisit.
A beautiful spot and obviously well-loved by the owner. Enjoyed walking the property and dogs loved all the space to run and explore. Although it rained most of the time we were there we still got in several close by hikes. I would have given 5 stars but the cabin itself, while clean and well stocked, was dark and cluttered. While some sunshine would have helped, it just was not my cup of tea.
We loved our stay! It was perfect for the two of us. We especially liked the birds by the front porch, the fish ponds, and the beautiful location! We would definitely like to visit again.
Great communication with the owner and was exactly as described. Deer in the yard every night and the most diverse population of birds ever! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon

Thank you for choosing my home and following all my directions. Guests like yourself are much appreciated! Come back soon
Everything was great, very clean and quiet place to stay away from town and the crowds. Enjoyed fishing in the river and catching a small trout. Host was very helpful with instructions and directions to various places. Would stay there again!
A wonderful cabin tucked away on the Toccoa River in a beautiful setting.
Carol is an excellent communicator and provided us with everything necessary for a delightful getaway. Highly recommended!!
Let me say first, this is not one of the 'scary driving up hill hard to get to without a 4 wheel drive' places. This is a place with relatively large flat yard, lots of river frontage as well as close up hill trails. It is very
we will definitely return. peaceful and comfortable.
This cabin was exactly as described on the site. It is peaceful and secluded and in a great location. We were able to take day trips to Dahlonega, Helen and Blue Ridge on our stay as each town is a short drive from the cabin. The cabin is decorated in a very lodge-like way and really encourages you to enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding it. We plan to stay here again in the future.
My 21 year old son and I went to walk the rivers and fish. We were able to do most of it right behind the house. The property is amazing with all the flowers, trees, bushes and birds. Very well kept.
This was our first vaca in 8 yrs. We have a 40 acre farm and cannot get away. It was nice to have 20 acres of peace and river. Will use again hopefully.
I can't say enough good things about this cabin. The pictures do not do it justice. The land is amazingly beautiful, and right on the river, the riverfront runs the entire length of the back. Its fantastic for dogs and there is a pasture that is gated thats great to let them run free. It's lovely to watch the sunrise from the balcony on the top floor, and cook out on the grill by a fire. Carol is kind and communicative and all instructions are meticulously spelled out for you. Highly recommend.
After thanksgiving’s get away with my elder sisters and brother
Beyond expectations the cabin was cozy and adorable. The grounds were picturesque
The river was easily accessible for all include members with limited mobility. The variety of birds were the special treat and keeping the bird feeders full . The owner provided clear and concise instructions hope to return soon
The cabin is perfect for couples but would still be great for families. You probably won't spend much time in there anyway. The river is awesome, and the property has over 1400 ft of shoreline. We burned a fire in the fire pit every evening, and cooked every meal except one on the grill. 4 nights isn't enough time to really get familiar with the area but we tried.
Great week long getaway. Beautiful property and cottage on 20 acres. Quiet river front location. Well appointed cottage with nice beds and furniture. Our 7 month old lab was able to go off leash all week, for the first time. The only people we saw were a few kayaks floating the river. We will be back!
My friend and I loved this property. This was my second time staying here. I always bring my dachshunds. The area and cabin is set up well for pets and the yard is very spacious. Having the river next to the house is awesome. We enjoyed walking along the river with the dogs and just relaxing in the afternoons at the cabin. The area is quiet and feels very safe.
If you are looking for a quiet place to getaway from your daily hustle and bustle, this is the place! The cabin was clean and cozy, the surrounding grounds were nicely maintained and the fenced in pasture was the perfect spot for my two boxers to run and play! My search for the perfect spot where fishing and hiking are easily accessible and my dogs are welcome is over! My only disappointment with this trip is that it ended when it did! We will be repeat guests at Carol’s Cabin.

Kimberly, forgive me for taking so long to respond. I just got to the cabin a day or so ago and found the spider plant. It was on its last legs but I put it out on the porch railing and with the sunlight and the refreshing rain, it is back to perky! It will be a treasured keepsake at my home in Central Georgia. Thank you so much for sharing the nice review and also a part of your home. Your boxers are absolutely gorgeous dogs!
Thank you for leaving detailed information for the next guests regarding some of the quirks that are always found in a new home! The appliance repairman is on his way out today with the new solenoid for the washing machine. So that will be fixed for your next trip!

Beautiful property
Me and my husband, along with our 2 sons (ages 15 and 12) and dog enjoyed a wonderful vacation here, The property is private, yet not so secluded that you feel isolated. There is plenty of nature including trout, chipmonks, squirrels, deer, turtles and lots of birds. The grounds are perfectly manicured, with lovely flower gardens, ponds, swings, a fire pit, etc. The cabin was comfortable, clean and well stocked with everything we could need. We are looking forward to our next visit, as 6 nights just weren't enough!!

Why they chose this property
I spent summers at Lake Winfield Scott and fell in love with the area at an early age. While rapidly growing, the nearby towns of Blue Ridge, Blairsville and Dahlonega are not considered 'tourist traps' and have wonderfully friendly people
What makes this property unique
We bring our horses and pups and it is great to see THEIR enjoyment. They love the trails and the summer coolness, especially. We mainly work to keep the grounds 'estate-like' and continue to upgrade the cabin.
