We had a great stay, it was ideal for our 2 families. Great quiet location, very clean and the wood stove was a nice touch on the cold days. Would be a great place to stay in the summer as we didn't get to enjoy the screened in porch.
Best vacation had in years, very Peaceful, very Private. The Host Susan and John are just the best, and awesome people. Next time I go to Nova Scotia will most definitely stay there, my wife daughter & I really had a fantastic time.

Hi.
Thank you for your review. You were great guests and are welcome back anytime.
We had a great stay at Linwood Farmhouse during our recent trip to Nova Scotia. The location was perfect for our day trips to Cape Breton and we also did some road trips along the northerly shore. The linens were clean and fresh, not strongly scented and the walk-in shower was a treat.John and Susan made sure all of our needs were met and even had the BBQ ready to go. Oh, and the oatmeal cookies were yummy! Thank you.
The property was as pictured on the website. The hosts were lovely. We stayed at Christmas and they decorated for the season and left homemade bread and cookies. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Very nice guests. We would recommend them to other hosts. They are welcome back anytime.
What a great little farmhouse! Absolutely everything that we needed was available, well stocked! Nicely decorated and very comfortable. Private location - had a nice visit from a squirrel and some deer! Loved all the wood furniture details. The wood stove was so cozy, was all setup for us when we arrived. Thank you so much Susan and John! We really enjoyed our impromtu getaway!

Thank you for your kind words. So glad you enjoyed your weekend.
The house was wonderful. Beautifully decorated. Quiet and peaceful. The screened in porch was great to sit outside and enjoy your morning cup of tea or coffee. The owners very friendly and welcoming. They weren’t there when we arrived but had left us a homemade raisin bread and Nova Scotia oatcakes. Both were delicious!
We absolutely loved our family three night stay at the farmhouse. The screened in porch was incredible especially with the rain and thunderstorm. The thoughtful touches through the entire house is so wonderful and really makes you feel at home. They really seemed to have thought of everything and were so lovely to check on us and were super easy to communicate with. The kids all asked to stay again next year and longer! We agree and can't wait!

Thank you so much for your kind words. Love to have families stay and make some great memories at our farmhouse.
We booked for two nights to attend a friends wedding. The property was very well kept. Upon arrival we were greeted with homemade cookies and a welcome note from the owners. Everything was there that we needed, lots of towels and extra linens. Heat pump came in handy as it was cold, for June. The downstairs shower was amazing. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to spend their summer or winter vacation.
Beautiful updated farmhouse. Extremely well kept with all amenities you would require (2 full baths, dishwasher, washer/dryer, Air conditioning, cleaning supplies, etc.).
Private trails with brook. Awesome screen room at the side of the house to sit outside without being bothered by mosquitos. Outside fire pit as well.
Susan and John are very responsive to messages, dropped by to let us know about some skunks in the area so our dogs did not get sprayed.
Will stay again!

Thank you Mary for taking such great care of our house. We would welcome you back anytime.
We loved Susan and John’s home. It is beautiful, immaculately clean and had everything for our comfort. We enjoyed the beautiful quiet of the property including the walking trail, the stars at night and the spacious fire pit. So much was supplied for us at the house and with the hot days we appreciated the air conditioning flowing and open windows when the weather was cooler at night. Their spot is well located to explore many nice beaches nearby that are shallow and warmer. Bayfield was one. The Cove Restaurant nearby had awesome dinner and views. Shops and other conveniences were not to far in Antigonish and Port Hawkesbury. Close to the causeway to start our enjoyment of the Cabot Trail and Eskasoni First Nation has a beautiful walking trail with educational information. A beautiful spot to enjoy some time by the water and picnic while learning the M’ikmaq traditions and history. Some time around Lake Bras D’Or and Iona heritage centre. Two weeks at this lovely spot went by so quickly! Thank you Susan and John for everything….and for letting us know the Special Olympics summer games were in Antigonish during our stay. Glad to take in some of them….inspiring.
