Our beach home is located right on the water with 3 full decks that have unobstructed views of the ocean. Come relax in a beach chair with your favorite beverage and a book, and we guarantee all of your stress will melt away in seconds!
Our home is large enough to host your whole family, and intimate enough to give you some much desired privacy. We provide all of the amenities needed for your stay that you can kick up your heels and relax!
This home is a duplex, but has complete privacy as no portion of the home or the decks are shared with the neighbors. We have floor-to-ceiling walls on the exterior to obstruct any views from the neighbors, and a sound-proof interior so that you won't be disturbed.
Guests have full access to the entirety of the home during their stay.
Our family lives remotely, so our home is well-cared for by trusted staff. Christiana is available anytime via phone or email for any questions or concerns, and she will send either the housekeeper or the cleaning crew over to address any needs after check-in.
We are located in North Topsail Beach, which is primarily beach rentals and a few full-time residents. Overall, the beach is very quiet and private. It isn't overcrowded, and it's frequented by the same vacationers a majority of the time.
We have plenty of parking for up to 6 vehicles during your visit! There is also a taxi service available on the island for anyone in need.
While this home is a duplex, and you are renting one half, please be assured that the only portion of this home shared with the neighbors is the staircase leading down to the ocean. All other portions of the home are completely private.
TOPSAIL ISLAND BEACH USE RULES

Unattended personal items and beach equipment left between 9:00 p.m. and 7 a.m. will be classified as abandoned property and will be removed and disposed by the town.
All beach equipment shall be set at least 20 feet from any sea turtle nest. No beach equipment shall be placed seaward of a sea turtle nest for a distance of 10 feet north and south of a direct line between the sea turtle nest and the Atlantic Ocean. No beach equipment may be placed within a 25- foot perimeter of an emergency access or any beach access point.
Walking on the dunes deteriorates vegetation that helps hold sand in place and prevent erosion and breaches in the dunes. These breaches allow floodwaters to move inland during storms. Please use authorized, marked crossovers or designated beach accesses. There is a $500 fine for walking on dunes.
Dogs must be leashed at all times! The leash is not to be longer than 25 feet in length (retractable). Please immediately remove all excrement and place it in the proper receptacle. Violations are publishable by a fine of $100. Please do not leave animals locked in unattended vehicles with no provisions or climate control, as it is detrimental to their health. Cruel and inhumane treatment of animals will result in the responsible party being charged with applicable violations.
All fires must be contained in a small gas grill.

Rental Rules: Guest agrees to abide by the Rental Rules at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property.
Access: Guest shall allow Homeowner access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner.
Cleaning & Linen Service Policy: The home is provided with pillows, linens, blankets, towels, kitchen towels, comforters, hand towels (1 per bathroom) and bath towels & washcloths (1 per registered guest). A cleaning service to clean the house and linens on your departure is included on your invoice. You are responsible to ensure that all debris, rubbish and discards are placed in plastic bags and transferred to the large trash cans by the road upon departure, and soiled dishes and cooking utensils are cleaned and returned to their proper location. Linens, blankets, pillows, bedspreads, comforters and towels are provided. It is standard for beds (except bunk beds are not fully made) to be made for Guests arrival as part of the linen and cleaning service.
The home is provided with a starter set of toilet paper & paper towels. Owners do not guarantee that these extra items will always be available and guests may need to replenish their own paper goods, toiletries, & laundry detergent, etc.
CONDITION OF PROPERTY: Owners have, to the best of their ability, given an accurate description of the property and its condition. Guest understands that it is considered as reserved "sight unseen". Our cleaning staff will have cleaned it before your occupancy. All electrical, plumbing and appliances should be in working order. The failures of operation of certain extra amenities, such as TVs, cable, games, or the Internet and WiFi service are not a basis for any refund. Owner will make every effort to have these items repaired but does not guarantee that they will be repaired during Guests occupancy. If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon check-in, Guest shall inform Homeowner immediately. Guests must inform owners within 2 hours of check-in for a free follow-up clean. Guests must provide time-stamped photos of any unclean areas or other items of concern in order to receive a free follow-up clean. We will do our best to have tradesmen attend to the problems but may not be able to fix everything over holidays and weekends. Under no circumstances will any of the rental money be refunded or returned because of the condition of the house. The Guest agrees to hold the Owner harmless from any liability for the condition of the house. Due to the nature of beach properties, the sand, stairs, decks and concrete are not always stable. Use at your own risk.
CLEANING & REPAIRS: All homes have cleaning included in the total rent. Please note that cleaning does not include dishes & cooking utensils. If additional cleaning is required after you leave, it will be charged to your credit card. Guest agrees to keep house, furniture and furnishings in good order. Removing, adding or changing furniture without Owner’s written approval shall be deemed a material breach of this Rental Agreement, and is strictly prohibited. Guest is responsible for cost of replacement of any damage to furniture or premises and replacement of missing items. Under no circumstances can any furnishing or linen be taken outside onto the beach with the exception of those items specifically mentioned in paragraph 8.
ENTRY OF PREMISES: With Guest’s permission, which is hereby given, Owner or Owner’s representative may enter the premises during reasonable daylight hours without securing prior permission from Guest, but shall give Guest notice of such entry immediately prior if possible and immediately thereafter. For inventory and maintenance purposes a property management employee of the Owner may need to enter the premises. The same permission procedure applies as above. In any emergency, Owner or Owner’s servicing agents may enter the premises at any time without permission of Guest for the purposes of making repairs to alleviate such emergency. If Guest abandons or vacates premises, Owner may, at his option, terminate this agreement, re-enter the premises and remove all Guest's property.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- HURRICANES & TROPICAL STORMS - There are NO REFUNDS for hurricanes, tropical storms or weather conditions, even if a mandatory evacuation is ordered (optional travel insurance is offered for Renters protection or Renter may obtain through a third party. Renter ASSUMES THE RISK without the purchase of a travel insurance policy).
- TRAVEL INSURANCE: We encourage all renters to purchase traveler insurance. Traveler insurance is not required to rent Dolphin Daze. We do not provide any refunds for cancellations after 48 hours of booking under any circumstances. Protection and Insurance is offered by online sites such as HomeAway and VRBO during the checkout procedure. You can also compare with: www.insuremytrip.com, www.travelguard.com or any other insurance provider of your choice. Select a policy that meets and covers unexpected events to protect your personal goals and needs. We do not promote or endorse any particular coverage. We are not insurance agents nor licensed to sell insurance.
ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE INSURANCE: Renters will be completely responsible for any and all damage to the home or property caused by Renters, whether accidental or due to Renters negligence. However, Renters understand that the rental includes an accidental damage rental policy providing up to $3,000 in accidental damage protection provided Renters notify the owner and assist the owner in making a claim. Renters understand that Renters are responsible for damage beyond the coverage provided by the accidental damage insurance. Renters are also responsible for damage that would have been covered by the accidental damage insurance if Renters fail to advise the Owner of the damage and provide the necessary information that would allow the Owner to file a claim against the policy.
USE OF EXTRAS: Renters will furnish their own beach towels, beach chairs and beach shades (EZUPs, umbrellas, etc.).

We love Topsail Island. We purchased this house because Topsail provides a quiet and family oriented get away. The beaches are gorgeous, and not overly crowded. Also, incredible golfing just a few miles away!!
