We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was central at Kicking horse and had very nice mountain views. The property was clean. There were some bugs around inside but they probably entered from the open doors and windows because there were no bug screens. The property included all the kitchen appliances and kitchen ware we needed to cook. The upstairs rooms had ensuite bathrooms which made it convenient. The garage was converted to a billiards and game room but we didn't utilize that as much as we could have. There's a nice hot tub and outdoor space too. Overall, we'd recommend large groups and families to stay this property if they are in the Kicking Horse/ Golden area.

For a large group(we had 12) there were no homes I could find that also allowed a pet. This home was large enough for our group and a few more could have fit as well. Mary was very good at responding to inquiries. She did communicate about a problem with the stove however we did not know that the front entrance was not accessible which made it a little difficult for some older members of our party to go around the back due to some landscape boulders. The grounds, hot tub and home are very nice. Kitchen is well supplied with storage, spices, utensils. The home was very clean. Balcony views were great.

Beautiful spot for our family vacation

This gorgeous mountain chalet was the perfect spot for our large family to gather on vacation. We hiked, white water rafted, golfed, etc during the day and then enjoyed meals, games, and quality family fun under one roof during the evenings. Close to Golden for groceries or a meal out as well. Thanks, Mary and Brent!

Impressive Views and Cozy

Our group of 6 loved our two nights at Kicking Horse Lodge Gem. After being in hotels around Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise it was a perfect two nights of relaxation and coziness. We loved the fire pit and the hot tub and enjoying all the comforts of the home.

Absolutely outstanding!

Amazing home with lots of room and beds for the whole family. Perfect kitchen for getting ready in the morning for big hiking or ski trips. Every window has an outstanding view of the Canadian country side, it’s hard to find a bad view from any balcony. The fire pit in the backyard was perfect after a good day of hiking. For any large group of 10-14 people I can’t recommend more! We had 14 people at one point with room to spare.

A slice of heaven in Golden

We met some close friends and their families halfway (we are from Vernon, they are from Calgary) and this was the perfect spot to spend some quality time! Such a great location to endless exploration in nature, including a wonderful playground the kids enjoyed. It was spacious and had everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back!
