Full Air, Sunset View, Steps from the Ocean, King Sleep # Bed, Menehune Sh 505
The photos are YOUR VIEW from our 5th floor lanai. We believe it is one of the best 2BR views in the building. The Airport is much closer than West Maui locations. We have wonderful restaurants, Luau's, shopping, golf, pickle ball (walking distance) and access to a nearby harbor that has all the normal excursions usually found in Hawaii. Malls, big box stores and discount stores are available 25 min north near the airport. Our building is built and zoned as a Hotel with all the appropriate safety features.
Our second home features 2BR/2BA, Full A/C, full kitchen, off-street parking for one car, overlooking the Pacific Ocean so you can enjoy the sunset every evening right from your condo. There’s a King size Sleep Number bed in the front Oceanside bedroom so you can sleep well every night. There are (2) singles that can be made into a king in the second bedroom. Both bedrooms have black-out curtains available. Each bedroom and the main living area have their own Mitsubishi Mini-split A/C unit with individual controls for each. The living room sofa can be made into a queen size bed. It's a compromise but allows us to accommodate 6 people. If you need to use it, be sure to mention it to us so we a provide instructions for it's use. There is There are two flat screen TV's, a DVR with streaming, private very fast WIFI, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and all full size kitchen appliances. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking gear you will need and an ample supply of dishes, glasses and silver-ware, toaster, mixer, rice cooker coffee pot, Kurig and ice maker. If you want, you can even use our cloth napkins (with rings) and place mats to set a very nice table. The glass top table inside seats 4 and the table on the lanai also seats 4 so there is plenty of seating and space for everyone to choose. We provide (6) beach towels and a few beach items including coolers and sand toys for the kids. There is a PaknPlay and booster seat for your use as well. Off-street parking for one car is included and we have an excellent Indian restaurant (with a small bar) that overlooks the water on the first floor.
Your home-away-from home is just s few steps from the heated pool and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. No roads to cross and no stairs to navigate. Three elevators and ADA ramps throughout insure that everyone will be able to enjoy every amenity we offer including the beach. One elevator even goes to the roof where you’ll find a beautiful BBQ, outdoor eating area and a panoramic view you’ll remember forever. A second BBQ and eating area is conveniently located next to the pool and beach.
The building supports energy sustainability with a solar heated pool and a large solar array on the roof that provides enough electrical power to supply all of our common element needs. Though we don't have EV charging stations on the property yet, there are several in the area.
Menehune Shores is right on the water with typical Maui sand beaches. It’s in a family-friendly, relatively quiet part of Maui but just a mile from shopping and restaurants.
Bring your binoculars so you can watch Humpback Whales in season, easily keep an eye on the kids at the pool, our sheltered beach and enjoy the gorgeous Maui sunset every evening....All right from our lanai (porch).
65 to 85: Why was this location chosen by the Royals of old Maui as their home? Perfect weather. Our high and low temperatures are almost always 65 degrees and 85 degrees - year around.

Kihei is on the sheltered dry side of Maui and just 25 min. from the airport, not 90 min. like many other locations on Maui. The most convenient west-facing beach you will ever find.
Ma’alaea harbor is 5 min away and features a full range of activities including snorkeling and dinner cruises as well as whale watching in season. It also features The Maui Ocean Center (aquarium), a new activities and several restaurants. Plus Maui Golf and Sports park (Mini golf, bumper boats, Extreme trampoline and rock climbing).
We are on a beautiful two mile long white sand beach but some of Hawaii’s world-class beaches and snorkeling areas are just south of us and if you love the high surf, the fabulous north shore is about 30 min away. Night life and shopping in Ka’anapali is also available.
We offer a fully updated condominium with all of the features you expect. In-unit washer/dryer, all tile floors and excellent natural cooling plus A/C … located on the 5th floor, north wing of the building. Please see the amenities list for more info.
The park-like grounds feature a heated pool, beach, restaurant, roof area with BBQ, whale watching and gorgeous sunsets, off-street parking and a quite environment.

Great stay at Menehune 505! The condo is very well maintained, clean, and perfect for families. The kitchen is fully stocked, making it easy to cook meals at home. We loved having beach gear (chairs, umbrella, cooler), plus plenty of kids’ games and sand toys for our daily outings.There’s a beach area directly south of the property (a “fish pond”) that’s ideal for small children. The property also offers two separate grilling areas with picnic tables, which are great for larger group outdoor meals.Each bedroom has its own AC unit, which was a big plus, and the rooftop deck is great for sunsets. The pool was clean and inviting. (note: there is no hot tub). Jim was an excellent host—very communicative and helpful, especially during the recent Maui flooding.Highly recommend!

Property was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the location- great jumping off point for west Maui, Makena and the great Turtle Town beaches, and Haleakala National Park. Rooms were comfortable- sofa bed was a little rickety but that’s what is to be expected in sofa beds. All in all a great experience!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view from the unit is great, and it had plenty of room for our family. The central location on the island made it convenient to a lot of places on the island.
Rented this property for my 75th birthday. Centrally located, clean awesome view. Was absolutely perfect for 3 people. Would absolutely rent again when we return to Maui.
Clean, older but comfortable property right on the beach. Centrally located and an easy drive to grocery stores or Kaanapali/Lahaina. Thank you for a great stay!

The unit is great, the view and beach even better. Unit was clean and had all the essentials for a great stay. The main bed and blackout curtains made all the difference. The view from the lanai is incredible. The pool was clean and never too busy. The beach is perfect for young children, where it's gentle and shallow. Turtles on the rocks every single day swimming around was icing on the cake.
The apartment was very comfortable and the location was perfect. The grounds, pool and grills where sparking clean. Loved being able to wash our clothes. We would stay here again!’

We are from the Midwest have grown children. We have owned this unit since 1999 and have completely renovated it. We enjoy using it when it isn't rented and usually get over to Maui every year to make little additions and insure it is ready for your stay. Why they chose this property
Maui is one of the best places to vacation in the world and this area is one of the best on Maui. It is quiet, dry and close to everything. Winter or summer the temperature is almost always between 65 and 85F. The Ancient Hawaiian Royals chose this part of the island to live and built the fish pond that is still there today in front of Menehune Shores. Menehune is unique in that it is right on the water. 150 steps from our unit to the Pacific. No streets or parking lots to cross so you can send the kids to the pool and watch them from your lanai. Our unit faces west and north so we have the sunset view and the cool shade while overlooking the pool, the ocean and the park-like grounds. Our 5th floor vantage point allows us to whale watch right from our lanai so bring your binoculars.
What makes this property unique
We have many friends here and the complex is staffed by an excellent on-site team that can take care of any issues that arise. That applies to both owners and guests. This extra advantage provides you with the peace of mind that your stay will not be interrupted by issues that are not addressed immediately. For first-time condo guests, this is especially important. Our unit has everything we need to entertain guests and we visit frequently to insure it is all in tip-top shape.
