Split AC units in the master bedroom and living room, two (2) ceiling fans (1 in the living room & 1 in the bedroom). A FREE secured 5G speed (400 Mb/s) Wi-Fi Internet. Free local cable TV and DVD player. There is no telephone inside the condo!

Remodeled full size kitchen with plenty of counter space. Dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator and propane gas stove/oven. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and cooking utensils for preparing meals at home. Great for cooking at home.

Great location with a great view
We have stayed at Kihei Akahi many times and this was one of the nicer units that we have stayed in. The remodel of the unit was very well done and the location on the 6th floor had great views of the ocean and Haleakala. We would definitely stay there again.

lovely large condo, facing south with doors opening almost the width of room onto lanai and central garden, view of the ocean and mountains. the unit was clean, well equipped, and felt like home. I brought my own Roku, so could broaden the viewing choice. there are two elevators.The downside: because of the Kona storms, there was a power outage for two days (including the elevators), and no internet for several more days. it rained 8/10 days we were there. NONE OF THIS IS A REFLECTION ON THE OWNERS OF THE UNIT. MANAGEMNT WAS GREAT.

No reprieve on check-in time for no good reason
We arrived at the property at 11. So happened that our rental didn't have a luggage cover, so we couldn't leave it unattended. The property manager refused to let us in before 4pm. When we were entering the property we found a tag from the exterminators with a time stamp at 1:30. Clearly, the unit was available at that time or earlier. I call it mean-spirited and uncooperative

We're sorry to hear that you felt the way you did. There must have been some miscommunication. I checked notes and past emails and show we had pest control scheduled for 1pm the day you arrived. Normal check-in is 4pm. We typically do allow for early check-ins if the guest reaches out to ask us permission in advance. I found what was sent to you below. We would have given you a free early check-in after 2pm if the condo was clean and ready. If you needed a check-in much earlier in the morning then there would have been a small charge for that:
"Aloha...Please be informed that there will be a scheduled quarterly interior pest control on December 9, 2022 (1 pm) in Kihei Akahi C603. It wouldn't take long and although this spray has a minor odor, sensitive persons, families and those with small children may wish to leave for 2 hours or you can stay on the lanai."
Your check-in time on that day is 4 pm, so all is good.

We aren't operating from the property, so there would have been no way for us to know if pest control was done early. The housekeeper may've been there touching up due to the quarterly spray. Check-in time is 4 pm and you were in by then with no delay. I assure you we didn't intend to be mean spirited in any way and we try to be flexible with our guests, but sometimes there are reasons why we can't get a guest in before the scheduled check-in time of 4 pm.
