New VRBO
We understood that this Kihei Akahi condo was an new VRBO listing when we booked. We love the location and the Kihei Akahi complex. It is close to the beaches and walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The condo was clean and the king bed was comfortable. The bathroom was adequate but do not expect anything other than one small bar of hotel soap, shampoo and conditioner. The kitchen was minimally fitted with older pots and pans and utensils. You must use plastic glasses and plates to take food and drinks to the pool area where the bbqs are and this condo only has a few old plastic plates and two big plastic glasses. Do not expect to find any welcoming starter coffee or tea. There were coffee filters. There was no salt and pepper and only a wee half full bottle of dish soap. The living room has a nice big TV but the couch and chair are not comfortable and need to be cleaned, especially the couch pillows. There is a cooler with ice packs, beach chairs and umbrella as well as beach towels. We had one night where the empty condo beside us had a very loud alarm going for hours. It took many calls from us and the neighbor beside us to have someone attend to it. Luckily someone finally came and we were able to sleep.
