Retreat into the charm of Lastovo island living

Two weeks allowed my wife and I to cast off the burdens and demands of intense working lives. With push bikes hired from the campsite on the other side of the bay we discovered the depth and stillness of this beautiful island. Gin-clear water, fabulous fish and so many places to stop, swim and stretch out in the sun. We benefitted from the endless kindness and ernest care of our hosts who offered us home-prepared delicacies to taste. A romantic evening meal at ‘Konobo Fumari’ in Lastovo town was reached by taxi. But mostly, we marvelled at dramatic night skies during candle-lit suppers on our own terrace overlooking the bay. Indeed, we would start each day with a swim in the sea directly opposite the entrance to our apartment. Ample air-conditioned and well-equipped accommodation provided space to slow down and savour a different pace of life. Thank you!
