Step inside this charming 1940s home and discover a space that feels bigger on the inside, offering five bedrooms spread across three levels, providing a unique and comfortable backdrop for your stay.

- Main Floor: Features a cozy living room, a dining room for shared meals, a fully outfitted kitchen with breakfast nook, three bedrooms, and one full bathroom.

- Attic: The upstairs attic holds two additional bedrooms and a small playroom, offering a quiet retreat for kids or adults.

- Basement: The lower level has a large recreation room, a ping pong table (tight fit!), a second refrigerator, and a chest freezer. It also includes a dedicated workspace with a desk and Wi-Fi printer, a washer and dryer, and the home's second full bathroom.

- Outdoor Living: Your group will love the large, fully enclosed backyard. It features a grill for barbecues and a fire pit for evening gatherings. A convenient dog door provides direct access to the yard from the master bedroom.

- Security cameras are installed facing the driveway, side door, and front door. There are no cameras indoors or in the backyard.

Guest Access: Guests will have full and private access to the entire house and the fully enclosed backyard. For your convenience, you can enjoy all the amenities described.

Please note, the following areas are reserved for owner and cleaning staff use only and are not accessible to guests:

- Bathroom Locations: The home has two full bathrooms. One is located on the main floor, and the second is in the basement.

- No Air Conditioning: In keeping with its 1940s charm, the house does not have air conditioning. We provide fans for every room to keep you comfortable during the occasional warm days.

- Ping Pong Table: There is a ping pong table in the basement for your enjoyment, but please be aware that the playing space around it is tight.

The kitchen was adorable and set up perfectly for cooking, making coffee, eating meals, etc. We had everything we needed. The host was very sweet and left us some breakfast items since we were there to get married. Overall a great experience!

Whidbey Island marathon weekend

Our family absolutely loved the house! We came up to Whidbey to participate in the marathon weekend. The house was immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked to make meal prep seamless. Everyone loved the mattresses and bedding. We all slept so well!

Oak Harbor Hidden Gem

Historic house close to park and marina with a huge fenced yard. The owners go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. Plenty of amenities to keep you occupied, and well stocked. Highly recommend.

The Dyer House IS AWESOME!!!

The owners of the Dyer House are sweet people and there is a great history about this home. It makes you feel like you are at your own place. The accommodations with pets is the best and the backyard is wonderful to sit in and watch furbabies play. Between the location and things they leave or have stocked in the house, makes you feel so welcomed. Thank you both for the hospitality and having an awesome home!!!

The home was truly a "home away from home." It was clean, well stocked with dishes and things we needed. We only had to supply our own food. Owners emailed us to make sure we were settled in. The location is close to stores and entertainment. The kids had plenty play space. We had no problems with the home. It was a great trip. Thank you Dyers home renters. Will definitely rent here when visiting again.

Great Team House

We were visiting Oak Harbor for a high school sailing event. The Dyer House was the perfect team house. There was plenty of room for the teenagers, chaperones and coach. It was very comfortable and everyone had their own space. The kitchen was very well equipped to prepare meals and snacks. The the location was convenient to the water, groceries and local restaurants. Great communication with the owner too! She was patient and responsive to all my questions. Overall it was a great weekend!

Beautiful house with a lot of character

This house exudes character and charm. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped with all the amenities one could possibly need. The linens were of high quality, adding to the overall experience. We were visiting family who did not have space for entertaining, and this house comfortably accommodated our large group. Although only four of us stayed, the layout easily allowed for at least three additional adults in their own rooms. Furthermore, if sharing beds is an option, the house could host up to seven more guests. The hostess was highly responsive to my numerous inquiries, making the booking process seamless. I will definitely consider renting this house again for our future visits. --- Feel free to adjust any part to style!

Perfect place for a family birthday celebration

We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent at the Dyer house. The house was very comfortable and had plenty of room for 8 adults as well as a great yard for both pets and people. Importantly the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The host’s attention to details like fresh flowers on the dining room table, plenty of coasters, an old mailbox in the backyard with bags and toys for dogs, wood for the outdoor firepit and a welcome gift were all very thoughtful and welcoming. The host was a great communicator throughout the booking process and during our stay. She checked in with us to make sure everything was okay and when we did have a plumbing issue she responded immediately and was extremely helpful. We could not of asked for a better host. If we are in Oak Harbor again, we will definitely book the Dyer House if it is available.

Highly recommend Dyer House!

If you need space or have a lot of family or friends wanting to stay together- Dyer House is the place to stay. With five large bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a WELL-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, and a family room in the basement there's plenty of space for everyone. Dyer House is a charming older house where you can just imagine family gathering for holidays. The host was very responsive to any questions. They have provided just about everything you can think of (other than food and drinks). Wonderful coffee set up -you can make a cup for yourself or a pot for a crowd. The yard is huge, stores are close but the neighborhood is pretty quite at night. There is also a very comprehensive book explaining all about the house, local sites to see, resurants, shops, and emergency services numbers.. We were all very pleased with the home. 5 stars!

Wonderful Place, Careful with Cooking

The property itself is an amazingly cozy place, with rooms for everyone in the family to sleep in, and a gorgeous backyard for grilling. The only caveat in the entire place is that cooking in the kitchen during the winter is a hassle, especially if you cook stove-top as much as I do; there's no ventilation above the stove to suck the smoke from the food, and the only window to allow the smoke out without leaving the side -door open is rather small. And with the smoke detector in the same room, it becomes a loud hassle during the night. That being said, the stove top, stove, and dishwasher all work like a charm. And with dishes in the cupboards to be used, you don't have to bring dishes yourself to cook with. Overall, a great time no matter the time of year.
