Spacious and private

  • 5 of 5

Great house perfect for couples! Our group of 3 couples loved that each couple had their own room with a king size bed and a bathroom to ourselves either in the room or right outside. The common area is more spacious than it seems in the picture with plenty of seating room on comfy couches and a large table for group meals. We also enjoyed grilling on the back porch. It is a quick drive to the slopes at Beech Mountain - there was no snow when we went but if there was we definitely would have needed those tire chains. We would certainly consider renting again!

Lovely stay in Beech Mtn!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at Beauty and the Beech. It is a spacious home with gorgeous views. Sleeps 8 comfortably. We got several inches of snow and felt like we were in a winter wonderland! Definitely if you are traveling in the winter months, get chains for your tires/take 4wd cars. We had one car get stuck on the way out. The owners warned us about this and we appreciated it!

Great getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

Spent Thanksgiving 2017 there with family. 6 adults and 1 baby. Had Thanksgiving dinner at Beech Aplen and it was as great!! Deer and wild turkey everywhere which I loved seeing. House was great and provided everything we needed. We arrived at dark and had a little issue finding the house but we made it. Big buck and doe kept us entertained. Great views of ski slopes. I would rent again in a heart beat. Thanks Robin for sharing you great home with us!!

About The Owner

I have been with one of the larger financial institutions in the Charlotte area for over 14 years. While working at a different financial institution, my husband started his own construction business approximately 11 years ago and went out on his own. We have always had a passion for real estate - acquiring properties, flipping and renting - this is what we do in our free time.

The Owner purchased this house in 2007

Why The Owner chose Beech Mountain

My husband was first introduced to Beech Mountain through a customer - who eventually turned out to be very good friends of ours. They had purchased a vacation home in Beech Mountain that required some renovations. The customer asked if my husband would be willing to drive to Beech Mountain to complete the work? He agreed to do it, and before we knew it, he was heading up to Beech Mountain toward the end of a week, and our two boys and I, would follow a day later to join him and spend the rest of weekend there together. It was love at first sight. We absolutely fell in love with Beech Mountain immediately. We had continued with this routine a number of times and became very familiar with Beech Mountain, and all that it had to offer. We had always had a long term goal of purchasing a vacation home in either the mountains or at the beach - so we began our search - and it didn't take long to find our home. We figured we got the best of both worlds in buying a vacation home in "Beech" Mountain. We refer to our house at Beech Mountain as the "Beech House." There always seemed to be something for us to do at Beech Mountain, regardless of the time of year. For us, that was the best benefit of all in purchasing a vacation home at Beech Mountain.

What makes this house unique

Beech Mountain is truly an all season get-away. We have enjoyed all 4 seasons at Beech Mountain. Skiing, snowboarding and sledding are our winter-time favorites. The "colors" in the fall are spectacular - the view off the back of our deck looks right at Ski Beech Resort - and to the right is the Tennessee border. The summer and spring times are just as nice, as there are several hiking trails that we enjoy taking - our favorite is the Lower Pond Creek Trail - it runs along side a beautiful mountain stream - and some fantastic waterfalls to see along the way. My all time favorite activity is sitting on the deck in the warmer weather, with my morning coffee - looking out at the mountain - nothing is more peaceful and relaxing to me. In the colder months, I enjoy my coffee while sitting inside the Great Room, with the spacious windows off the back of the house, allowing me the same majestic view.

The Town of Beech Mountain has much to offer, including a variety of activities and festivals throughout the year. To name just a few, there’s the annual Labor Day Kite Festival as well as the “Land of Oz” Festival occurring every October. If you want to venture a little further out, the quaint town of Banner Elk is nestled at the foot of Beech Mountain – where you’ll find an abundance of shops and restaurants to choose from. Don’t forget to visit nearby Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Valle Crusis’ Mast General Store, and Fred’s General Mercantile, right here on Beech Mountain. Other local area attractions include, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Watauga Lake, Elk River Falls, Hiking and Biking Trails, Whitewater Rafting, Horseback Riding, Skiing, Sledding, Fine and casual dining and specialty and outlet shopping.
