This house is a 3 bedroom(s), 1 bathrooms, located in Thermopolis, WY.
A place where the Indians, trappers and traders used to meet, this house is a converted office building less than a minutes walk from the Big Horn River. Decorated with a unique western feel and plenty of bedrooms, your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. It has an enclosed private patio inside a large fence for privacy and a great dog area. It is perfect for grilling outdoors with a large awning, or just enjoying the outdoors in privacy.
While next to 2 restaurants, this house is off the beaten path with only small amounts of street traffic. It is less than a block to the river and an old bridge that crosses it. The bridge is now closed to car traffic. It is a block away from a gem and rock shop, and 2 blocks to a river float/kayaking shop, and only 3 blocks to a public river access area.
The front and side of this converted office building has a nice living and recreation area, while the back of the building is a walled off shop and warehouse area.
There is central air but we have added window A.C. units for the really hot times of the year. The patio may have some weeds or stickers in the dirt part, so I would not go barefoot there. There is a nice fire pit area for evenings with a covered awning nearby. There will occasionally be an odor from the wastewater treatment plant across the river, but it is usually brief and only a few hours once or twice a week. The river is only a few hundred yards from the house. The kitchen is small, but there is a food preparation area in the living room with a lot more room.
This house is less than a minute walk to the river where an old bridge crosses the river. The bridge is closed to vehicle traffic. Two restaurants are also less than a minute away, and a tourist shop and a river floating/kayaking rental shop are only a few blocks away, with a public boat access only 5 blocks away. There has occasionally been an odor from the water treatment plant across the river, while it is not common, it can be noticeable. The downtown area is only 8 blocks away. It is a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic once you are off of the highway. There is plenty of off street parking in front of the house. It has a nice fire pit in the fenced area.

It's a commercial building attached to a business. The deadbolt doesn't work, so we had a customer just walk in during breakfast. They quickly realized their mistake and left. The rooms were good sized, the living area was cozy. A couple of the beds were hard but that's the nature of things. The kitchen was very small but coffee was available right away, which was nice. Everything was near by and most within walking distance.

J*,
I am very sorry someone walked into the house! The front of that building has not been used as a business for over 15 years. The back part of this building is a commercial shop and we have priced this house accordingly. I immediately went and checked all of thye deadbolts and they all appear to work fine. Can you let me know what door you had a problem with. My only thought is that this place is next door to the only veterinarian clinic inside the city limits, and possibly someone meant to go to the vet clinic and went to this house instead. I am very sorry your stay was less than perfect.

Perfect location for the family to meet and so much to do nearby. Our grandson wants this to be our annual vacation home! Thanks so much for the care and consideration made available!
The house was very clean and comfortable. Love that they allowed our dogs on the property with us. The host is always on top of the email communication about the property. We will definitely use this host again when we are back in Thermopolis for family events.
My brother and I and our wives stayed at this house. We also stayed here a year ago. We fish in the river while our wives stay in town and shop or just hang out at the house.
Innocuous location met all our needs and more; we walked south to the river before dinner and walked north into town for dinner! Comfortable beds, laundry was a lifesaver. Vintage Scrabble set was a charming bonus. Would definitely return!
The property is just as described. However, it was hot, and the window units had a hard time keeping up with how hot it was. We did enjoy our stay the bed was comfy and the fridge worked fine.
