This is our 2nd time to stay at this house. The location is just perfect. Super easy walk to town and an easy walk to the beach! Check-in and communication were awesome. The kids loved their 3rd floor compound! The 3rd floor balcony has amzing views and a lock up high on the door to keep little from opening it on their own! The perfect space for a large family group. We had 13 ranging in age from 10 weeks to 63 years.

Fabulous Home and Location!

Check in and communication was seamless. Home was breathtaking, clean, inviting, perfect for our party of 12, and room for more. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Jill (host) was super accommodating. The beach, pier and downtown were all within walking distance. We had such a good time we are going to make plans for an annual girls weekend. Thank you Jill!

Girls' Weekend!

The house was perfect for us as 5 women getting together for a girls' weekend in South Haven. Close to downtown close to the beach, and the third floor balcony was great for visiting and watching the sunset and storms. Totally recommend!

Family week in SoHa

Perfect place to stay in South Haven. The house was clean and was very much like all the descriptions. We used grill every night. We had 6 people and a baby and had way more than enough room.

Excellent Location-House has lots of room.

We loved the location of this property. There was plenty of space for our group. The interior was very clean and smelled good. The exterior needs a lot of TLC. Some of the interior also. Was disappointed for condition of outside areas with what we paid for the week.

Perfect getaway for our family

The location, plenty of rooms for our family of ten, and multiple decks to enjoy the harbor view are what made this property a quality find. It was so nice to be within walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants! Our only complaint is that the place needs a good maintenance update ... plugged sink in bathroom, leaky shower faucets, carbon monoxide alarm battery was beeping when we got there, broken chair on patio, etc. Overall, very functional and a lovely place. Just needs a little more attention to details by the host.

Great location w/in walking distance to downtown and beach

The house was a good size for our group, the bedrooms, living areas, and loft were spacious. The backyard was great for hanging out and grilling and playing yard games. My only qualms were that when we arrived with 16 of us, there were a total of 2 almost-gone rolls of toilet paper in the house. It wasn't a huge deal, we had someone run out to the store right away, but weren't notified that that was going to be something we needed to bring ourselves. It created an interesting problem for a few minutes while someone ran out to get it. The other thing was that the garbage disposal in the kitchen sink was infested with fruit flies that were swarming the first floor all weekend. It was like that when we arrived. All in all, the house was good, just be aware of the two things I mentioned above and make sure to bring toilet paper.

Too bad that the house is dirty

Location great. House WOULD be great if it was clean. We did appreciate you bringing your cleaning team back however it was the next day and a inconvenience for everyone. Tons of spiders and it had a awful musty smell when you walked in. So like I said great location the house just needs to be deeply cleaned from top to bottom.

Bookclub 25 year celebration

The location is perfect and the main floor open space was ideal for gathering, talking, eating together. It is light and airy and close to everything in town and the beach. The view from the 3rd floor balcony is gorgeous. It could use an upgrade in some of the kitchen ware(baking sheets, frying pans) but suited our group's needs very well.

Excellent space and location!

Overall we had an excellent stay here! The location is ideal for walking to the beach, splash pad or shops downtown. The space was large, open and our large party never felt cramped. We did have one issue with the oven which led to us not being able to use it for 2 days- the owner got back to us after multiple attempts to contact her. It turned out to be that the oven timer when turned on would turn off the oven… She did remedy another situation we had right away so it could have just been a busy day for her to return our calls. (quicker to return texts vs calls.) The house was well stocked with everything we needed for our week long stay which we appreciated! Including paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags etc. We request extra towels which were brought to us right away and greatly appreciated. We also liked that the recycling and trash bins were easily accessible. The kids loved the front game/ toy room and playing on the top floor together. The decks on all sides of the house were beautiful. Some recommendations for the owner: overall need for some minor updates/fixes - the dishwasher rack has no front wheels on the bottom rack and almost slides all the way out when you pull it. The fridge shelves and drawers are difficult to work or missing, 2/4 slots on toaster oven were non functional. need new beach chairs- the ones provided were broken/bent there should be a note not to use the oven timer as apparently it can cause the oven not to work. The jets in the jacuzzi tub were non functional. The online listing and the owners book at the home had conflicting info such as wether the propane would be supplied by owner or guest. Aside from these minor inconveniences, we had an amazing time overall and would absolutely stay again. Thank you!

Perfect for large group without feeling crammed in. Very spacious. Everything thing you need. Beautiful views from the balconies. Big kitchen/ family room for meals and just being together. I grew up in South Haven and spent my entire childhood just minutes from this home. After attending Michigan State, I moved to Florida, but my heart has always stayed here. My family and closest friends still live in South Haven, and I return with my own family every summer. Hosting this home allows me to share the joy, beauty, and memories of this special town with others. I currently live in Tampa, Florida, but South Haven will always be “home.”

The property is over 100 years old and was originally part of the iconic Grand Hotel overlooking the bluff. The neighborhood offers the perfect blend of charm, walkability, and peaceful views. It’s ideal for gathering family and friends, and the upgraded amenities and open layout were designed specifically for entertaining and creating unforgettable memories.
