Please note that Summer rentals are by the week only, from Sat to Sat. No pets of any size accepted, so please don't ask. This 2500-square-foot, custom lakefront home on North Lake has been featured on HGTV and Fine Living Network! Watch 'What you get for the Money' by High Noon Productions. Complete interior photos are available. This interior designers summer home features sweeping views and the best sunsets on all three levels. The master suite features a king bed, vaulted ceiling, and private balcony overlooking the lake. The laundry and child's/guest bedroom with 2 twin beds round out the top floor. The main living level features include hickory hardwood floors throughout, a well equipped kitchen with huge island, convection oven, dishwasher, great room with gas fireplace, guest room with a queen bed, and full bath. The house has a spacious deck off the main living level. There is a high performance stainless natural gas grill that produces excellent results!


The walk-out lower level features full bath, wet bar, full window wall with gorgeous views of lake, gas fireplace, 85" Smart TV and 2nd TV with DVD player and DVD's. The lanai beneath the deck is perfect for a quiet nap or reading out of the bright sun. For fun evenings there is a new propane fire pit. 2 stand up paddleboards and 2 kayaks available for your use, with a pontoon boat available for an extra fee.

The house is centrally air conditioned and the lower level has radiant floors for winter comfort. The main living level has a Sonos speaker with Alexa ready for your music. The house is equipped with Wireless Internet and wireless printing.

We're close to Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan and Michigan International Speedway. Chelsea, the home of Jiffy Mix, is just a few minutes away. It's downtown boasts the fabulous Common Grill restaurant, art galleries, The Purple Rose Theatre, antiques, home furnishings boutiques, and more. Please bring your children, but not your pets! Great stay!

We chose the area to be near our daughter's wedding venue. The house was a perfect space to rest and recharge before and after the wedding. Wish we could have stayed longer! Hope to be back another time!

New Years stay

We love staying at this home when we come into town to see family. Location is great for trips into Ann Arbor but also love that we can come back and relax with a fire in the frieplace on a chilly evening, while the lower level is perfect for games and watching TV. We can’t wait to come back!

What a beautiful, fun, and comfortable place! The house is beyond well equipped, the beds and furniture were all extremely comfortable. We loved our stay at this gorgeous home! Thank you to Val for being such a top notch host with great communication. Having a bedroom and bathroom in the main floor was perfect for my parents who have trouble with stairs. Our two young girls loved all the toys, the chalkboard and really cute kids room. Wonderful North Lake Stay

My family of 4 had a fabulous stay at this lakeside property. From the time of booking (a year ago) to actually staying in the rental, Valerie was the perfect host making sure my questions were answered in a very timely manner. The house is beautiful and on a beautiful quiet lake. We rented the pontoon boat which made our trip that much more wonderful. Nothing could beat a sunset ride on the lake. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this property again.

We were just looking for a quiet getaway for some quality family time. This house was perfect. The decor was beautiful and so comfortable. Summer Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed renting this well appointed 3BR home with all the amenities you could want. Loved kayaking, paddle-boarding, and tooling around North lake in the pontoon boat. Located less than a 1/2 hour drive from Ann Arbor yet it seemed as if we were way up north. The property is near multiple recreation areas and we enjoyed exploring the superb hiking trails and the nearby towns of Dexter and Chelsea. We even attended a world class premiere at The Purple Rose Theater! Great place to stay!!

Perfect Getaway!

We had such a spectacular stay at Valerie’s property! If you’re looking for a cozy, comfy, CLEAN home … in a charming neighborhood … with stunning views … this is the place! Some of our favorites: the relaxing lake views from the spacious (well-stocked!) kitchen, 2 cozy gas fireplaces, an amazing deck w/ nice furniture, SUPER comfy king in the master; all the comforts of home. Our son is at U-Mich, so we were in the area for a football game. Was so nice to escape all the craziness afterwards / come back to this cottage by the lake! We’ll be back for basketball season 😉

Perfect University if Michigan Graduation weekend

Graduation weekend is a crazy time. I am so glad we found this perfect lake house an easy 30-40 minutes from Ann Arbor. The house is perfect for family of 6, plus space for friends/family to gather for special occasion. Parking a little limited, but ok if you plan ahead. Best of all - well equipped kitchen for those who like to do a little cooking and baking. Also, the home was nice immaculate and plenty of towels and bedding, cozy blankets for rainy days. Absolutely love it!!

Perfection!!!

We rented Valerie's beautiful lake home for our son's graduation from the University of Michigan. It was everything I had hoped for and so much more. The lake is exquisite! The decks peaceful, and the home lovely. Valerie's designer touch is everywhere! Thank you Valerie for sharing your wonderful lake home with us and for being available 24/7. The kayaks were also a big hit-especially when finding the swan's nest!

Amazing lakefront home!

My family and I took a 2 week vacation traveling several states and renting Valerie's home for the last week was absolutely perfect to end our trip! The home was beautiful and the sunsets were gorgeous! The home and location had everything available that we needed for our stay and Valerie was very quick to respond and accommodating to our needs. We went visit towns close by - Dexter, Chelsea, and Ann Arbor and got to enjoy the festival and live music. The kids really enjoyed swimming in the lake and we went kayaking almost everyday. We would watch the sunset together on the back porch every evening and then go the theatre room at night and watch movies. I loved the peacefulness of the Lakehouse and hiking at the nearby Pickney State park. The people in town and the neighbors were very friendly. We look forward to enjoying many more vacations here. I definitely highly recommend renting this home for the perfect retreat! We have created precious memories forever as a family that is priceless. Thank you so much for everything Valerie and for sharing your beautiful home to us!

FABULOUS!

Fall In Michigan

This is an exquisite property. Beautifully decorated and with everything you and your family would need. Valerie is an excellent host. The home is situated on the lake so that you can enjoy a spectacular morning view with coffee and then admire the stars at night. Highly recommend.
