About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

CRESCENT HOUSE is a nearly brand new year-round cabin on Lake Crescent's sunny north shore, offering 1726 square feet of living space and a huge 512 square foot south facing deck. Sleeping for up to ten guests. Crescent House has been a summer cabin and permanent home to our family ever since the 1930's. Crescent House had been a summer rental for the past 15 years until its condition warranted replacement; it is now available year-round. Returning guests will recognize that much from the old cabin has been reused. THERE IS NO SMOKING ALLOWED IN THE CABIN! FREE WIFI INTERNET NOW AVAILABLE.

Crescent House is at the end of a 400 foot driveway, sits 50 feet from the lake, and has a large flat lawn in front. There is ample parking for your boat trailer and several cars. Crescent House is located at the tip of the little end of the lake, offering warmer/calmer water, and has one of the most private settings on the lake. The 62 foot dock will accommodate your boat and there is lockable storage for your water toys.

Crescent House is 'ADA 'friendly'', with level access from the gravel driveway at the front door, lever style door handles, wide doors, and one living level. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a closet that can accommodate a crib for those wishing to retire early. 'Thuther' bedroom has a queen and a bunk bed. The master bath has a walk-in shower, the other a tub and shower. The deck features a covered gas BBQ and private hot tub.

'Twilight': Forks, Washington, the center of 'Twilight', is just one hour from Crescent House. Go back to Hwy. 101, turn right, enjoy the 12 mile drive around Lake Crescent, and then it's only 30 miles to Forks. Just before Forks, you will see the turn off to La Push.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was our second time at this cabin and we had the most enjoyable time. This is heaven on earth! We hope to be back again soon. Our dog loved the sunroom once again. Beautiful weather the entire time, sun and no wind. Enjoyed the crab festival in Port Angeles, Marymere Falls during govt. shutdown, Hurricane Ridge, 3rd. beach in LaPush, Sol Duc Falls, and our all time favorite Lake Crescent Lodge. Thanks again, we felt so at home. Hot tub, campfire, BBQ's, Stars, so amazing!

Breathtaking View, Wildlife Abounds, Relaxing, and Rejuvenating

  • 5 of 5

If you want to stay on Lake Crescent, your search for a vacation rental is over. Upon entering Lake Crescent House for the first time, I said, “WOW! This is way better than I was expecting. Look at the lake!” As you enter the home, your eyes are immediately focused on the view out the windows. The sturdy, long dock provides a great spot to view Lake Crescent any time of day. The dock is an easy place to launch a canoe or kayak into the glassy, calm water. Wildlife abounds at Crescent House. We saw deer, eagles, owls, swallows an otter, ducks, newts, and frogs. The ever changing sky provides for endless views.

The owners take great pride in their lake house and ensure guests have an amazing experience. The owners were friendly, professional, helpful, and easy to contact. Upon our arrival, we found kayaks and a preheated hot tub waiting for us! The house is clean, comfy, and has all the comforts of home. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, pots, pans, storage containers, etc. (everything you need to feel at home without having to go out for meals) and there’s a nice grill on the patio. The owners supplied ample firewood, games, movies, books, and magazines. Even on a cold rainy day you can enjoy Crescent House. The sunroom is a relaxing place to enjoy the outdoors while sitting in comfort (it’s heated).

The drive to Crescent House is down a well maintained, paved, two lane road. Crescent House is about 25 minutes from Port Angeles and is ½ mile to the Spruce Railroad Trailhead. We walked to the trail several times during our stay. This rental is also close to the Strom King Ranger Station, Marymere Falls Trail, and the Moments in Time Trail. It’s a great place to stay for short day trips like Shi Shi Beach, Cape Flattery, Sol Duc Falls, and the Hoh Rainforest (just to name a few – the list goes on and on).

Crescent House is a place I want to return to. The views, location, wildlife, and comforts of home are the highlights of this rental. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay at our lake home. It was the best vacation I’ve ever had!

Exceptional experience

  • 5 of 5

I have rented over a dozen homes through VRBO and count Crescent House as exceptional. As you open the front door, you will feel refreshed and relaxed due to the open nature and tasteful decor of the combined living , dining, and kitchen area. The view of Lake Crescent through the patio doorway directly off this open area is breathtaking. It is fabulous to spend time on the ample sized deck and just stare at the lake and mountains. Right now I am picturing this expansive and beautiful view in my mind. Wow! The inside of the home is more than comfortable and so well equiped! The kitchen is loaded with dishes, cooking utensils, bowls, etc. The BBQ is easy to use and the patio table is good sized for 6 to 8 people, has an umbrella which we needed! We enjoyed and outdoor fire in the firepit near the lake and what a pleasure to play with our dog across the beautiful lawm at the water's edge. We brought a canoe and enjoyed easy loading and unloading from the long pier. How nice it was to sit out on the pier's edge and watch the light on the lake and mountains change throughout the day. We are definitely going back to Crescent House. Take family and friends....you will have a spectacular experience.

Crescent House

  • 5 of 5

My wife, 10 year old son and I just got back from a week at the Crescent House. This is a wonderful house, not a cabin, but a real house. It has the the atmosphere, right on the quiet side of the lake, with its own dock, wood paneling, deer sightings, and trails less than a half mile away. It also is a modern house, with a spacious kitchen, central heat, carpeted rooms, and a great hot tub. I was especially impressed with the sun room, with big views of the lake. A terrific place to enjoy the Olympic National Park, one of the best places anywhere.
