Vacker sommarlägenhetstilhyra - nära Acadia nationalpark och barhamn! Stor plats !!
Lämna inte det för sent, få de datum du behöver bokat tidigt för att undvika dissapointing. Beläget i Southwest Harbour, känd som den lugna sidan av Mount Desert Island, bara några minuter från centrum butiker och restauranger. Fastigheten ligger bakom huvudgatan och bredvid golfbanan! mindre än en 2 minuters bilresa till echo sjön som har en egen strand med badvakter och mycket varmare vatten än havet, vatten når 75 grader på sommaren mycket trevligt för en avkopplande simtur eller bara koppla av dagen med en bok. Men om du föredrar havet är vi några minuter från det också, vi har sandstrand som ligger i Acadia National Park. Det är också nära hållplatsen för den kostnadsfria pendelbussen för önutforskare som betjänar hela ön. Sydvästra hamnen ligger 15 minuters bilresa från barthamnen och minuter från Acadia National Park, vandring, cykling, kajakpaddling, valskådning och alla attraktioner i närheten.

Fastighetsöversikt: hyran har 2 sovrum och 1 badrum - båda sovrummen har dubbelsängar och en utrullningssäng på begäran. Det kommer att sova totalt 4. Uthyrningen är fullt utrustad - den levereras med linne och handdukar (medtag egna badhanddukar) eftersom hyrhanddukar endast är för badrummet. Den har ett komplett badrum. Komplett kök - spis / kyl / frys / mikrovågsugn / frukostbord / bestick, tallrikar, brödrost, kaffebryggare, etc.

Comfortable place on Mount Desert Island

My daughter and I were visiting Mount Desert Island for the first time. This was s great location to access Acadia’s beautiful hiking, views, coast and towns.

Perfect for our Acadia vacation

My family stayed for 3 nights to check out Acadia. The rental was perfect for our family of 3, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there was even a little grocery store less than a 1/4 mile down the road. It was about a 25 minute drive to get to most of the big Acadia sites since they are on the other side of the Island, like the Jordan Pond House, Thunder Hole, and Sieur De Mont.However, we considered that a good thing because it was much quieter and relaxing out in Southwest Harbor. We visited the last week of June so it was still early in the season, but the town of Bar Harbor was packed, same with each of the Acadia sites. Make sure you get out early if you want to get parking to go hike or see the sites, it got very busy by around 9am.

Great location

Even though we drove to Bar Harbor just about every day, it was a short drive. The main purpose for our trip was to explore Acadia NP, and this location made it very easy. Southwest Harbor has a lot to offer, as well! This property suited us well.

Great spot on the Quiet Side

Cute clean space, perfect for the amount of time we were at it. Walking distance to the grocery store. 3 minute drive to Southwest Harbor for restaurants and shops. Away from the crowds, but the road noise was noticeable at all times of days/night.

Cottage had everything

I can’t think of a single thing they could improve on. Cottage was very clean. Kitchen was fully stocked. Convenient location. It was great to have grocery store and laundromat so close. And several restaurants in Southwest Harbor were less than 20 minutes away.

Wonderful apartment for your visit to Acadia!

This wonderful apartment is located on the Quiet Side of Mount Desert Island, which was a big plus for us! As an added bonus, there is a grocery store (and a laundromat) 0.1 mile away. The beds and sofas are comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with all the bakeware, cookware, crockery, flatware and utensils you will need. The bathroom is tiny, but certainly serviceable. And the owners, Tim and Sian are regularly updating and improving the property. Overall, we had a delightful stay!

Lovely, clean apartment

Easy to get to, close to the beautiful Echo Lake, easy to the ferry. The space was well-equipped. Our only issue was the constant traffic noise since it is right on the main busy route down the peninsula. Otherwise comfy and clean.

Grat Location, close to Acadia National Park

Nice clean House. Great amenities. Beware the house is connected to other units above and next to you. Good neighbors so did not bother us. Also unit is 30 ft from main road so be prepared to hear traffic from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm. Did not bother us though. Would stay again.

Calm before the storm.

We had to cut short our visit to the park because a hurricane was coming. The manager contacted us about the storm coming and what to do if we lost power. We spent our time there without incident. Everything about the rental was great! Maybe add a blanket or two for the rest of the season.

Great location

Nice area and we loved Bar harbor and the park. Restaurants had good food. Unit 1 was not clean upon our arrival. Beds were not completely made, table in living room was not put back in its place. Stove was dirty. The mirror in hallway was dirty and there was a hair tie hanging on it. The fan in bedroom was broken. The place smelled bad. Smelled musty. It did not feel homey.

2 bedroom in Southwest Harbor area

We enjoyed our 4 night stay. Great quiet location approx 25 minute drive to Acadia Nat'l Park and Bar Harbor. Convenient to food market. Short drive into cute, small town of Southwest Harbor. Even though unit was close to street, traffic noise was not an issue. Parking was no problem. Appreciated the unit having 2 folding chairs + 3 beach towels. Kitchen was basic, but we ate most meals out. (Did not have foil or sandwich bags). Good size TV, just need your streaming passwords to access. Had a slight musty smell, but air freshner was provided. AC was working. Would stay here again, but note that the single bathroom sink area is a little tight.

Clean and convenient

We really love the location of this property. Walking distance to the grocery store and very convenient to both Southwest Harbor and Acadia National Park. We found it extremely clean when we arrived and the kitchen was very well stocked. Also plenty of linens. We did have a couple of issues, however. First was noise. The property is very close to route three which is the primary route into southwest harbor and there was lots of traffic noise even with the windows closed. Also, there was a unit above us, and there was a lot of noise that woke us up every morning and kept us awake a bit at night. Beyond that, this unit is very small. It was perfect for just the two of us, but would be tight for two couples.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. There was a musty/mildew smell, but I had bought some incents and decided to use them and that cured the smell. We didn't like the toilet location. It was very cramped and we kept running into the sink. They should put like a small table under the hand towel so you have a spot to put your phone, your watch, etc. We stayed in the bedroom that was closer to the bathroom and in the nightstand drawers they were very dusty so I had to wipe those out with a wet paper towel and I also had to wipe the back of the headboard on the bed. It was also very dusty. Other than that the place was spotless. We would stay there again if we are ever in the area.

great place for an affordable stay

The place was really nice, quaintly located on the left part of Acadia, just a short drive away from the main park. It's close enough to some of the lesser visited portions, like seawall and seal cove. The place did feel it had a bit of moisture, probably from the environment it's located in. The beds also shake a bit on slight movements, especially if two people are sharing a bed, but not too troublesome. overall, really enjoyed our time there!

Good home base

This property was a good space to be in. It was well kept, the bedrooms were nice. It is the best sleep I have had in a property in all of our travels! The bathroom sink was very small for someone wearing contacts, but that is a minor issue. The location is outside of town so make sure you know about parking in Southwest Harbor if you want to shop or eat. The space was good for our family of 4 with a tween and teen.

Wonderful stay!

Was exactly what we expected. Perfect for our family of 5. We had a fantastic time in Acadia. Tim’s house was stocked perfectly for what we needed - kitchen supplies, towels, sheets, etc. You will not regret coming to Acadia!
