Sun Sets Right in Front of Your 60 Foot Porch!

'Hidden Treasure' is the true meaning of a beach house located at the North end of Cape San Blas, right next to the entrance to the State Park. The beautiful driveway leads through the woods to the beach home. Hidden Treasure is nestled among the trees and sits on a gorgeous 15-20 foot dune. This property is located on a very secluded and peaceful area of the beach. Watch the dolphins play on 120 feet of Gulf frontage. The property is almost one acre and is surrounded by undeveloped land.

Walk directly to the ocean on your own private boardwalk. No need to pack your lunch - the beach is only 25 feet from the house! The crystal blue water will make you feel as if you were on a Caribbean island. Enjoy the large empty beach with white powdered sand and lots of seashells to be found. One of the highlights of this home is it's seclusion and privacy. This is truly paradise found and a dream come true!

WE JUST GOT A NEW FACELIFT! Newly remodeled living room, dining, and kitchen with new granite counter tops, back splash, appliances, and top of the line furniture, to make your vacation one-of-a-kind.

This home is a typical one level beach house. It's location high up on a dune allows breathtaking views of the ocean. Watch the amazing sun set while relaxing on the back porch!

The layout of the house is a simple split design with living room, dining room and kitchen being one spacious room, perfect for entertaining. We offer cable TV and wireless wifi. The updated kitchen is fully equipped and you can can watch the ocean while preparing dinner.

The master suite is located on one end of the living area, and two bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bath, are located on the other. The master suite and one guest bedroom have entrances to the 60 foot deck overlooking the beach! Our guests will have sweet dreams on the brand new king size memory foam with cool gel.

The porch is enclosed so you can open the doors and windows for a soft flowing breeze throughout the home during the off summer months.

There is a NEW bike and walking path that leads from the entrance of Cape San Blas all the way to the State Park (appx 7 miles). It is great for jogging, biking, exploring, and very safe for children and pets.

We look forward to sharing our lovely beach house with you, your family, and guests. Make new memories at 'Hidden Treasure.'

Positively Delightful!

  • 5 of 5

Another perfect stay at Hidden Treasure! So many VRBO rentals have cutesy titles for their properties. "Hidden Treasure" represents the property to a tee! It's nestled in sand dunes on the far North end of the peninsula within walking distance of the State Park. It's off the beaten path and very, very quiet. The sunsets are like none other. We were delighted to see many improvements and updates to the house since our visit last year. It's gratifying to know your rental fee goes back into improvements. Leslie takes great pride in this property and it shows. We loved the master suite and king bed last year and found it to be just as great as we remembered it. Seriously, this bed is "just like home." The screened deck allows al fresco dining and all day relaxing. Most importantly, it is clean and has comfortable couches and chairs to sink into when you've had enough sun. We love Hidden Treasure and Cape San Blas because it is completely untouched by commercialism. It is serene and beautiful beyond compare. We bring groceries for the week and cook in the fully equipped kitchen. Talk about Zen! We look forward to our next visit!

Owner's Response: We hear from many returning guests that the pictures just don't compare to the actual home and location. Some things you just can't catch on camera. It is the great adventures and memories created when families are at this special place called "Hidden Treasure". Truly a unique location which you have to come for yourself to explore and rejuvenate. Thanks for sharing your experiences and we will see you next year!

Great place to get completely away from everything and everybody

  • 5 of 5

This was our third season at Hidden Treasure and it just keeps getting better every year. The owner really connects with her guests and goes out of the way to make folks feel at home. Since we've been visiting Hidden Treasure the property has seen some nice improvements including new beds, kitchen remodel, screened porch, and, this year, fresh paint. The house is very clean, well-maintained and equipped. The setting is very private and dog friendly. Three very private bedrooms, two sofa beds, two full baths and and an extra shower means there is plenty of room for everyone. We love it, and we're going back in 2017!

Owner's Response: Thank you Tim for taking the time to write us a great review. "Hidden Treasure" is a very special place and this home was built by the original owner who purchased the entire Cape San Blas many years ago. He said it was the best location on the Cape and his family enjoyed it for many years. We continue to upgrade so many many more can come and experience a great needed vacation. It is people like you that return every year and appreciate this magical place, that makes it even more special. Thank you so much for your continual visits...

Tranquil Escape on Cape San Blas

  • 4 of 5

The peninsula of Cape San Blas with St. Joseph's Peninsula State Park is astoundingly beautiful and untouched: it is not littered with high-rise condos, hotels, bars, restaurants, nightlife, cheesy miniature golf and the like. It's a paradise for those who truly enjoy peace and solitude. Hidden Treasure is located on the North end of the peninsula with the park's entrance 1/2 mile from the house. It's nestled between the dunes and is extremely private and extremely quiet: no road noise, no loud parties on the beach, just delicious tranquility. We are grateful to Owners who generously open their homes to dog lovers. Our little Papillion loved her beach vacation as much as we did. She sat on the screened deck with us all day watching the birds and other dogs on the beach. There are two shower heads on the boardwalk and a hose which was helpful to wash off sand from our feet and her paws; it also had a handy "dog wash" on the lower deck. The king bed and sheets in the master bedroom were hands down the best I've ever experienced at a VRBO. (We were just the two of us and didn't use the two guest beds.) There were two sad things: leaving and "red tide." One of the locals at the gas station said "red tide" is a rare occurrence and unfortunately it occurred while we were there and it prevented us from kayaking in the bay. It did not affect the gulf side (where the house is located). We will never forget our time at Hidden Treasure on Cape San Blas.

Owner's Response: It is so true about your comments on this area. There are very few areas unspoiled like this location. Our sheets and towels are custom made and special ordered through private companies. They're phone number and email are available if you want to purchase for your private home. We feel that our guests spend much time in bed, as well as the beach, and we want to make it as comfortable as possible. The master bed is also a Tempur-pedic. Thanks again for you review and we welcome your family (of course including your special Papillion) anytime in the near future.

Great vacation spot and extremely Private.

  • 5 of 5

Our second time at Cap San Blas and took my parents, sister and friend with 2 dogs. Even though a house is behind this one you feel totally private as no houses are beside it. We cooked great meals every night in the kitchen with lots of counter space. Two living rooms in one made it great to stretch out for a naps and HUGE screened in porch with rocking chairs. You can leave your chairs, pop up tent at the beach with no worries of anything being stolen. Only thing I would change on this house it the toilets are not elongated but that would be easy fix. Otherwise wonderful place and highly recommend it. Will be going back. I see why its call Hidden treasure.

Perfect Anniversary Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We've now discovered the perfect anniversary/Thanksgiving getaway! Even stormy Fall weather couldn't dampen the comfort and beauty of Hidden Treasure. And when the weather cleared we enjoyed an ever-changing ocean, wide expanses of deserted beach, and spectacular sunsets. The home was immaculate and functional. The comfort of the living area reminded us of a favorite Hawaii oceanfront we have enjoyed in the past. Our dog enjoyed his long beach walks, as did we. Leslie ensured we had all the information we needed, and was always available. She even helped us discover Indian Pass Raw Bar, where we enjoyed excellent shrimp and oysters. Hidden Treasure is a very special place we would like to return to again. Thanks Leslie!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the uplifting review! We like how you compared "Hidden Treasure" to your previous Hawaiian oceanfront beach home. That is the best compliment ever. This location and white sandy beach is one of the best on the Cape. Happy Anniversary and we will see you next year...same time, same place.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for a much better review than the 9/28/13 stay review submitted 10/15/13. We knew that you were unhappy with your previous visit in September of 2013 and we decided to make some real big changes to Hidden Treasure. We remodeled the kitchen, living room with new windows, new furniture, and much more to list. We appreciate that you returned and gave us a second chance. We are so happy that your vacation was the most relaxing that you have had in a very long time and we welcome you back. :) Leslie
