Located less than a 15-minute drive from the Medical Center, UTSA, Six Flags / Fiesta Texas, and The Rim / La Cantera in Northwest San Antonio, the Blue Door offers a clean, comfortable, and charming space that is thoughtfully designed with YOU in mind! In walking distance from the Leon Vista Park and trailhead (popular biking and walking trail), the Blue Door is a two-story house with a semi-open floor plan, 4 bedrooms (all located upstairs), 2.5 bathrooms, with a private pool in the backyard. We hope you’ll feel immediately at home in our spacious living room, play a game with friends on the indoor pool table, cook (or order in!) a delicious meal in our full-service kitchen, enjoy a cocktail on the outdoor patio, or take a quick dip in the pool.

Nice place, bring your own pool towels and some bug spray

The place was pretty nice. Comfy beds with plenty of pillows and blankets. Ping pong and pool table were a nice touch. I wish there would have been more pool towels. There was also so many mosquitos in the backyard. You’re okay if you’re in the pool but the patio was a no go for me.

Great stay with Whitney!

Overall a very good little vacation with some friends and family, the entertainment was enjoyable. I loved the pool table as well as the living room, it felt very welcoming and home like, would 100% recommend if you’re looking for a nice time with family and friends or even just as a nice getaway for yourself.

Family Vacay

The house was clean and the kids loved the pool. The host was very polite, friendly, attentive to our questions and very helpful. We would highly recommend this home away from home.

Nice neighborhood and spacious house

The location was perfect and the house was just what we wanted 😁. Wish we had visited during the summer to take advantage of the nice pool outside!

Blue Door

We really enjoyed our stay. The home had plenty of space for a large family. Located in a quiet neighborhood and a short drive to the major parks and shopping centers. Looking forward to staying here in the future.

Comfortable, beautiful home

Our family loved our stay here! It's a beautifully decorated home with enough space for our family to be comfortable. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio and also spent a lot of time indoors playing games on the ping pong and pool table. Will definitely stay here again the next time we come to San Antonio!

Wonderful stay

Property was good. Gave the hosts some feedback on future additions and they were receptive. Good location for getting around to attractions. Grandkids enjoyed the pool and adults would have but not heated at the time. Would stay there again.

Great hosts

This was the first time staying with this host. They were great with communication and even purchased a second pack n play to accommodate our needs. The only complaint we had was the property was not up to standard with cleanliness, and there was a lack of towels and kitchen supplies. Other than that, great stay and really great hosts who heard my concerns and responded immediately.

The house is TOP

It is a beautifully decorated home with enough space for the entire family to be comfortable. Each bed was comfortable with quality pillows and linens. The bathrooms had plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There were also plenty of sanitary and cleaning supplies. Nothing was missing. The house is very centrally located and we only needed about 10-15 minutes by car to many sights. Restaurants and shopping centers were also nearby and within a few minutes. We really enjoyed the outside terrace with the pool. The owners were easy to reach and took care of everything. A small note on the side: the outdoor area should perhaps be equipped with more seating.

Needs extra care

The house needed some work. The inside was nice, but the pool was dirty. The ladder on the pool was breaking on one side the outdoor lounge couch was broken and being held up by brick outside. Decorations were broken inside the curtain rod was coming away from the wall Closet doors were broken there was a roach inside. The downstairs bathroom could have had some more attention to detail around the bottom of the toilet. The beds were comfortable and the decorations were cute. The backyard and front yard could’ve used better maintenance. There were a lot of weeds in the back .

*** HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Read BEFORE Renting! ***

This house is NOT safe! On the 1st night, my daughter sat on the bed & the frame completely broke. The house was hot (88 degrees); Notified the owner & the A/C company came that next day and fixed it. In the backyard there was a dead squirrel in the skimmer, outdoor furniture was broken, big pieces of wood and nails were sticking out and it was held up by bricks! I No propane for the grill. I had to go to the store and buy some and I did get reimbursed for it. The house never cooled off, went outside to look at the unit and the fan had fallen out of the unit. Had to wait until 6pm that night for the AC company to fix again. Took until midnight to get the house under 75 degrees! It was cooler outside! The kitchen had no condiments, fridge was empty, not enough plates, no mixing bowls, or skillets. The main kitchen light didn’t work, was told the previous renter lost it & light above the stove didn’t either! The pool area is unsafe, the concrete was made from pebble rocks so had to buy swim shoes to walk around on it. The house itself wasn’t clean. The only response from the owner was about the AC, no response about anything else. Please save your $$ and rent something else! We were celebrating my son's air force graduation, and this house made the experience awful. And still no response from the owners!

Family Stay Gone Wrong

Check in and communication prior to check in was good. Communication during stay was okay. In the original listing when I booked, it stated it slept 10. We knew there were only beds for 8 from the description but expected a sofa bed since there was no description of how the house slept 10. All 10 arrived but there was no sofa bed. There was nothing in the description to explain sleeping 10. I requested the listing be updated to show only 8 while we stayed there. The other two people had to go find other accommodation since sleeping on the couch would not work. The dishwasher had not been run so we had to wash a load of dirty dishes in order to have enough dishes. There was a load of wet towels above the washer. Not sure if they had been washed and forgotten or what. The sheets in the master bedroom had what appeared to be blood on them. We looked for a clean sheet but all the sheets were wadded up in the closet so we weren’t sure if they were clean. Layers of dust on every fan so we could not use the fans without dust flying all over the room and our things. Coffee pot was broken and the broken carafe was in the cupboard and obviously not usable. This was mentioned to the host but a new coffee maker was not provided. The pool had algae in it. We brushed it and clouds of algae settled in the bottom of the pool. I sent a note about this and was told the pool would be cleaned - on the day we checked out. Reason for booking was the pool and number of beds. Disappointing

Bad experience

The house was not ready for my family. I have a list of items that are broken in unit along side pictures of everything. Also beds were all dirty with urine stains, rugs were black dirty, extra closet was gross with linen. There were illegal drugs in unit upon arrive!!! 1. Guest bed with white frame is broke, bed couldn't be slept in. This bed had pee in it and dirt on bed and floors. 2. Guest bathroom shower handle broken, stained towels. 3. Master shower has cold only no hot so shower was unavailable . There were marijuana left in bedroom drawers. 4. Living room-couch broken unable to use 5. Kitchen - coffee pot broken, sink faucet broken in the kitchen. Dish sponge stunk and was super dirty with old food. All dishes were dirty ( on dishes that were there) not enough dishes. Only one pan no mixing bowels . Fridge was super nasty 6. Dining room lights wouldn't come on. 7. Laundry room- dryer doesn't dry until it goes 3 -60 min uses. There were towels still in dryer I had to personally fold and put away about 15 of Them. 8.broken glass all up driveway. I had to pick this up as well. Being i have a child 9. Pool was not turned on, no pool lights, umbrella was inside the pool completely. Cigs were all over the ground. Couch outside broken unusable. 10. garage was super dirty. Broken handles, trash everywhere

Really homey!

We so enjoyed our stay in this 4 bedroom home. We were very satisfied and the little details by the owners did not go unnoticed! -Every bed was comfy -Each bedroom was nicely decorated with quality pillows and linens -Bathrooms had nice towels and shampoo/conditioner/shower gel were provided -Nice TV with comfortable couches in family room -Pool table and ping pong were a hit! -Outdoor ungrounded pool-sadly we did not hv time for…. -Nice kitchen with coffee maker, coffee and necessities. Didn’t cook, but nice to have. -Full-size washer/dryer We were in town for 3 nights. Really friendly price compared to what a hotel would have been, wonderful communication with owner/manager and felt safe and close to major thoroughfares for getting out. Thank you for a very nice stay!!

Great spot for a bachelor party

Had a little trouble with the lock but was eventually let in remotely and given a new code to use for the rest of our stay. The place was spacious. The pool and pool table gave us all the entertainment we needed. Thank you for the stay!
