Looking for something unique and truly out of this world? Then, look no further than this two-level home known as 'Hoot Owl Hollow.' This secluded, quiet haven is a unique work of art built by the owner's eclectic parents in the 70s and 80s. You will love this home’s wonderful character and stunning natural surroundings during your stay, along with being only a short driving distance from all the local attractions the Brattleboro and Wilmington areas have to offer. The prime location allows you to hear the peepers and the owls at night as you watch the fireflies and falling stars by the outdoor fireplace or from the front porch.

The floor-to-ceiling windows in the two living rooms as well as the large decks off the bedrooms allow for great wildlife watching around the two big ponds. The sunken living room will be right upon entering the home and is furnished with comfortable sofas, offering a great spot to unwind as soon as you arrive. Play some tunes on the provided turntable or stereo. The second and main living room oozes a homey feeling, and the brick wall adds a rustic touch to it. Guests will find a wood stove, smart TV, and board games. Right off of the living area is the elegant dining table providing enough space for up to six guests. The spacious and open kitchen is the most unique and quaint space you will ever see. A classic brick furnace hosts a stovetop along with several utensils. There is a double-door fridge, a built-in double oven, an electric oven, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a microwave, and a center island with a sink. There is a nice corner booth table ideal for family breakfasts or quick meals on the go. Both spaces are warmed by a second wood stove.

When it comes to sleeping arrangements, the first floor features one bedroom with a half bathroom. Climb the stairs that surround an in-home tree up to the second floor to find three more bedrooms. All three bedrooms have direct deck access and share a full bathroom with an in-ground soaking tub.

THINGS TO KNOW
Please do not climb the tree inside the house or meddle with the indoor well.
The stairs are uneven and in some places the ceilings are very low; tall guests will have to duck.

Nice vintage vibe but a bad experience
We enjoyed the beautiful art and vintage design of the house. However, I would like to suggest that the facilities of the house be upgraded. Having only one shower for eight guests is not sufficient, and the in-ground bathtub is difficult to access and inconvenient for the guests. Moreover, there seem to be issues with heat and water. Therefore, I advise that you be aware of these problems and prepare accordingly before staying in this place.
