My husband and I feel so fortunate to have found the Winery Lofts in Carlton. Check-in was easy, at the Ken Wright tasting room just across the street. Our unit (UNIT 6) was welcoming, comfortable and well-appointed. There was plenty of room for a longer stay and, even though we didn't prepare meals there, the kitchen was well-equipped. The kitchen was stocked with complimentary beverages (water, juice, etc) and snacks including a bag of Oregon hazelnuts and fresh fruit. The Umpqua oats that were provided were very much appreciated when we had an early morning departure. The building was quiet, felt safe and was easily accessed from a front and back entrance. We enjoyed visiting the wonderful wineries in the area, exploring the nearby town of McMinnville and hiking around the Trappist monastery. We would DEFINITELY want to stay there again, and hope to do so soon.
The Winery Lofts are gorgeous and the location is awesome. The lofts are clean and very nicely decorated. The owners have really put a lot of thought in to making them a welcoming place to get away. It was a great place to relax, enjoy an espresso that they provided, along with some yummy treats. I am really looking forward to our next trip to the Loft this summer so we can enjoy the bikes.
My husband and I just returned from a fabulous weekend in Carlton, Oregon, where we enjoyed wonderful cuisine and entertainment just a few steps away from our winery loft. We appreciated the attention to detail with so many amenities provided to us during our stay, including convenient parking right below. We found the loft to be beautifully decorated, private, clean, quiet and comfortable (with controlled temperature). It was most definitely a wonderful place to end our days of sightseeing and wine tasting. I would highly recommend this loft as an ideal place to stay while on vacation.
Loved everything about staying here. Perfect location; all of the shops, tasting rooms, & restaurants are within a 3 block radius. Since the town closes down early, it was nice to be able to have space to cook our own meal & relax with some wine. Every amenity is thought about by the owners, even down to having all the basics for cooking like olive oil, salt and pepper, utensils etc. Very comfortable and nicely designed and decorated, I can not say enough good things about this loft!
We stayed one night at the lofts and could not have been happier. The loft was incredibly clean and stocked with goodies. Check in was a footstep away at the winery tasting room and parking is conveniently located behind the lofts.
The decor was great, bathroom and kitchen were spotless, snacks were an excellent touch.. Overall I would HIGHLY reccomend this place over the much higher priced Allison or even some of the other B&B's.
We recently spent 4 nights in Carlton and stayed here at the Winery Lofts, #6. It was a perfect location to tour wine country and to go into Portland one day.The loft was beautiful, clean, and well appointed. The town of Carlton is small and quaint with many tasting rooms. It just so happened they were having the Carlton Crush Festival while we were there. Lots of fun watching teams crush grapes barefoot in oak barrels, had wine tasting and good food. We went on the equestrian wine tour one afternoon and it was great. Ate a very good Italian restaurant in McMinnville called Nicks. For a local hangout if you need something besides wine, we went down the street to the Pied Piper. Locals all hang out here and are friendly and helpful. When we come back to Oregon, I would definetly stay here again.
