Enjoy this 5 bedroom home with an additional game room. This home is perfect for your annual family vacation, including your well behaved dog. Located near Tahoe City this home has room for everyone to gather and unwind. Prepare a feast in the home's updated kitchen, unwind in the living room exiting out to a spacious deck with ample room for family and friends to create new cherished memories. The inviting home features all the Tahoe musts - gas fireplace in living room and primary bedroom, front and side decks, pool table, hot tub, proximity to beaches, trails, and close access to prime mountain resorts.

The main floor features living room, dining and kitchen along with the family room, den and the primary bedroom with jetted tub and separate shower. The upper floor has 4 more bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom and a full bathroom in the hallway.

Parking:
Parking is available for 4 cars total. All cars must park in the driveway or garage. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 10 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Use of outdoor furniture is not guranteed in the winter.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use!
* Your safety matters. This property may features exterior security cameras. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras will continuously record video and sound while guests are in residence.

One of the best houses we've stayed at in Tahoe. Very easy access to Palisades and close to Tahoe City and businesses. Beds were incredibly comfy and we loved all the different hangout spaces including the TV den and detached game room. Big and well equipped kitchen! Great yard. We truly had so much fun and would easily stay here again!

Great stay, great cabin!

Had a great stay over the weekend with some friends. Great location near Tahoe city and sunnyside. The house was super comfortable and spacious.

Great house for a Palisades weekend!

This house was perfect for our annual ski weekend with friends. The 5 of us easily fit in the main house with a separate room for everyone and the game room over the garage was a major bonus. The hosts were great and made check in and out very easy. Would definitely stay here again.

The beds are so incredibly comfortable and the comforters are so soft. I’ve never have such a comfortable bed anywhere I have rented! So good for family and friends. Wow

Serene retreat

The listing said that there were 2 bedrooms with queen beds. The one bedroom next to the hall bathroom was only a double bed so that was our disappointment. Hard for two adults to sleep in a double bed. My recommendation would be to change the listing or buy a queen beds for that room. The house was great other than that!! Plenty of room for all and very great place for family to gather. It is a beautiful home. Love all the sunny rooms and lots of beautiful windows.

Couldn’t have had a better time!

We had a family weekend get away and this home was perfect!! So much room and even room for a make shift wiffle ball tourney, with trees as bases! We’ll definitely be back!

The Place to Be with the Family

Four generations came together and had a beautiful vacation at the Serene Retreat in Tahoe City. The front yard served as a wonderful place to watch the kids play, areas for adults to sit and play bocci ball and cornhole. All the rooms were clean and very comfortable. Enjoyed our days at the beach (short drive) and rafting on the Truckee River. The deck off the living room provided a beautiful place for morning coffee and watching the sunrise. There was enough room for everyone to gather or to be alone. We definitely felt like we were at home away from home.

Great location, great house, perfect vacation

Home away from home, only thing I would improve is the amount of garbage space. Two small cans for a week is not enough for a large family staying.

Wonderful House

We stayed for three nights and loved it. The house absorbed seven adults, two children, and our Golden retriever without anyone ever feeling crowded. It felt like home and we really appreciate that.

Super Tahoe spot

Serene Retreat was a great location and comfy place to stay. Generally equipped very well, TV’s Sono’s system, games room. It is a little “rental tired” with things looking worn, frying pans, knives etc old and average cleaning service.

Family vacation

3 generations of family members getting together to celebrate our son and grandson’s birthdays. Nice home, great kitchen, game room over the garage a real hit with the kids. Only drawback for me was the stairs and traffic noise at night. Enjoyed dinner at the Sunnyside Restaurant.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Perfect Tahoe City house

The home was the perfect size, very cozy and comfortable. The location is ideal for getting up and down the west shore and very close to town. I have one suggestion…… I believe it’s time for new towels, hand towels and wash cloths. Everything else was fantastic!! P.J. Scharer
