The name says it all! This like-new log cabin sits high on Sheepback mountain overlooking Maggie Valley. You can see for miles! Up here you can feel the refreshing cool mountain breezes, but you are just minutes from the valley floor. The views are absolutely stunning!
At Majestic Overlook you will enjoy total privacy, secluded from the rest of the world. The two-acre lot means NO NEIGHBORS. With a great southern exposure and a 270 degree view, enjoy the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening. It really is an awesome place.
Come and enjoy the accommodations, the hot tub, the fire pit, the solitude, and especially the VIEWS! Come see why this is a favorite mountain hideaway. You will love it!
This VRBO partner has demonstrated and is committed to fast response times, the best rates, and a great guest experience.
I have been in the vacation rental business for 20 years and LOVE what I do.
Some of the homes in Maggie Valley on VRBO are owned by me and my husband, and I manage others. I am so fortunate to live in these beautiful Smoky Mountains and I enjoy helping vacationers by sharing my knowledge of the area.
Message from owner:
I first purchased this home for my wife and I to enjoy. The view was the biggest selling point. I had looked at many homes before buying, and this one (by far) had the best view. It's a well built home too. I enlarged the deck to accommodate the large hot tub. We also purchased the lot adjacent to us to insure our privacy. We love coming here and I hope you will too.
The cabin is perfectly situated on the mountainside with excellent views of Maggie Valley. It is well appointed and clean, but we spent most of our time on the deck to be honest. We even saw a smallish bear in front of the property on evening, but it didn't approach and left when we shooed it away.
Initially, we were a little concerned about the lack of wifi, but after about an hour we were actually glad not to have it. This is a place to really escape to and we wouldn't hesitate to come back next time we're visiting the Smokies.
We had a wonderful time in Maggie Valley-we saw many beautiful places and enjoyed coming back to the cabin in the evening for some time in the hot tub. Kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals and the home is very comfortable for 4 adults.
Majestic Overlook is a charming property. The cabin is open and lovely; comfortable and well built. Windows are high quality with no drafts even in high winds, letting in lots of light and offering fantastic views from every room. The gas fireplace is lovely, adding warm coziness when a cold front blows in or you come in from a cold day exploring the area.
The views are absolutely amazing. Looking over the mountains and the valleys far below, we really enjoyed the stunningly beautiful Fall foliage.
Maggie Valley is a friendly community and one of the entrances to the Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby. Asheville is about a 40 minute drive away. And, clear whitewater rivers and many trails are a short drive.
We loved our stay and want to return for a longer stay!
Those with accessibility concerns may want to check with property management, as this is a cabin set on the side of the mountain with a slight slope from parking with rustic steps leading to the entry deck steps up to the door.
The view was amazing and the cottage was cozy and perfect for us and our two kids. Spent a lot of time in the hot tub! Also made time to explore Maggie Valley. Very nice and would recommend.
Couldn't have asked for anything better. By far one of the most relaxing vacations the wife and I have experienced. We are planning on returning to the cabin for the fall foilage. Shelda and Katie provided all of the details and were quick to respond to our questions.
My wife and I came here for our anniversary looking for privacy and relaxation. This home did not disappoint! The view is second to none and we felt as though we had the whole mountain to ourselves. We will absolutely be back.
Quick 30 min drive to Asheville for dinner and Biltmore. We Hicks's throughout Pisgah as well which was breathtaking.
Enjoy hiking the Blue Ridge Parking, snow skiing or tubing within a few miles of home, Biltmore House, waterfalls, shopping, and cool days and nights in the hot summer months.
