The Blue Chalet on Sage Lake! - near boat launch - pontoon available for rent

Relax and enjoy this 3-bedroom, 2 full bathroom, family house on 800-acre Sage Lake!

Rent our available 22' pontoon boat for your stay or bring your own boat and tie-off to the dock right out front. The house is conveniently very close to the boat launch.

It has a large patio to enjoy the outdoors and a fire pit for late night bonfires. Propane grill also provided.

This house is situated for family use, no larger groups or parties allowed. We must be respectful of the neighbors.


Sleeps 10 people comfortably (2 King, 2 Queen, 2 Full beds, and an optional futon). Two bedrooms are on the main floor with a King and Full bed in each, along with one full bathroom. The third bedroom is up stairs with two Queen beds, a futon, along with the other full bathroom and a seating area with a nice lake view.

Fully stocked kitchen with pots/pans/utensils. Dishwasher and washer/dryer provided. Linens and towels also provided.

Access to the entire house and property. No access to the shed or locked supply closet.

Parking is available for 3 vehicles and could also park on the side of this dead-end road with limited traffic.



**** There is also a 22' Pontoon Boat available to rent for your entire stay. Priced at $800 minimum for the first 3 days and then $125 per additional day ($1,300 for 7-day stay) which includes a full tank of gas. If you rent the pontoon, it must be for your entire stay, no daily rentals.

The pontoon boat seats 12 people and has a 50hp motor to get around the lake and enjoy the sand bars. Pontoon will be tied to one side of the dock. Separate rental agreement and waiver is required. Guests are responsible for appropriately sized coast guard approved life preservers for all children that cannot wear standard adult life jackets. No pets are allowed on the pontoon boat.

Please note that the dock and pontoon boat will only be available starting in May through September. The dock will be out of the water and stored (on the side of the property by the water) outside of those months.

- Plan a canoe/kayak/tubing trip down the nearby Ausable River or Rifle River
- Explore Iargo Springs & Lumberman’s Monument parks with the Highbanks on the Ausable River
- Bring your ATV/UTV/snowmobile to check out the many ORV trails nearby
- Enjoy the nearby wineries!
- Drive to nearby Hale or Rose City with Tawas City or West Branch only 30-minutes away


Please read and adhere to the house rules, especially: ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING OF ANYTHING INSIDE THE HOUSE! Also, no cigarette disposal on the lawn.

Disclosure: I do have outdoor cameras that can record audio & video. They are in plain sight for security purposes and not hidden. There will never be any indoor cameras anywhere inside the house to respect guest privacy. Any attempt to tamper with these outdoor cameras are prohibited. There are two cameras facing the lake, one camera facing the road, and one camera by the entry door.

I also have two Amazon Alexa devices in the house useful for playing free music. Technically these record audio but it is only available to Amazon for their Alexa function and users cannot access. Feel free to unplug these two devices if you are uncomfortable with them.
