I am a documentary filmmaker. I have done some work on all continents. I love traveling, playing music, and spending time with my wife and kids. Now my favorite thing to do is to spend time in nature, and I want to raise my kids to love and appreciate it. Our family cabin in Shenandoah is a unique retreat for us. It is a place where we spend much of our time. We have put much effort into creating a comfortable and family-friendly home.

Why they chose this property

The cabin sits in a quiet stretch of countryside just outside Woodstock, surrounded by forest, open fields, and a few well-kept riverfront homes. It’s peaceful and feels tucked away, but you’ll still see locals out walking dogs or heading down to fish at Seven Bends State Park. Neighbors are mostly friendly full-timers and weekenders who value privacy and nature. The area is safe, rural, and dark enough at night for stargazing—just expect the sounds of wildlife and the occasional passing car on a country road.
