The Space:
Welcome to our beautifully renovated vintage home that seamlessly blends modernity with timeless charm. As you explore the interior, you may notice a few delightful quirks that presented design challenges. Upon entering, you'll find that immediate illumination was limited. To overcome this, we thoughtfully installed a small, convenient push-button light to assist you during nighttime excursions. It may be modest in size, but it serves its purpose admirably.

Another unique characteristic of this home lies in its gently undulating floors. While not immediately apparent in every room, a subtle wave-like pattern has emerged over time, adding a touch of character to the space.

Despite these charming idiosyncrasies, we have worked diligently to ensure that the overall living experience is comfortable and enjoyable, whether you stay for a week or a month. We sincerely hope you embrace the charm of our home and create lasting memories during your extended visit.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to everything inside the apartment.

The Neighborhood:
Welcome to our vibrant neighborhood nestled along two bustling streets that serve as the city's main thoroughfares. This advantageous location ensures swift access to any destination, allowing you to navigate the city efficiently and avoid downtown traffic whenever possible.

Notably, our home boasts the convenience of being just a 3-minute stroll away from a Sobeys grocery store. Immerse yourself in the ease of nearby amenities, as an NSLC and Shoppers are also within reach. With this abundance of local options, you can fulfill the majority of your needs without relying on a car. Prepare for a truly hassle-free and fulfilling stay, where everything you require is just steps away.

Getting Around:
We have 2 parking spots if you are driving, and if not, buses make stops with a very short walk from the house.

You will be in a very central spot and have the luxury of choice from walk/bike/bus/drive.

Other Things to Note:
Turndown Service Available ($35/hr)

Indulge in a technology-free retreat as this cozy haven offers a break from cable TV distractions. Embrace the gentle breeze provided by the ceiling fan, creating a soothing atmosphere throughout your stay. While there is no air conditioner, the natural ventilation and refreshing airflow will ensure a comfortable experience. Unplug, unwind, and savor the simplicity of this inviting sanctuary.

PARKING:
- The monthly parking rate is $100.
- Once the rate expires after 1 month the guest can extend it for another month.
- Alternatively, the guest can purchase daily parking for $10.


Only one pet is allowed per stay.
The second pet is only upon request before a reservation.
Pet is limited up to 50 pounds.
Pet fee - $50 per stay/per pet.

We're happy to provide you with the following supplies for your convenience for FREE:
● Salt and pepper
● 1 paper towel
● 2x toilet paper per bathroom
● 4 bath towels
● 2 washer pods, 2 dryer sheets (if unit has washer/dryer)
● 2 tide pods (if unit has dishwasher)

Weekend getaway

Overall a good stay. The location is close to everything, grocery store, liquor commission, restaurants, cafes are all within a short walk. Halifax citadel 15-20 minute walk, Halifax harbour front about 30 minutes. The apartment is located on a very busy street so the front bedroom is very noisy. The back bedroom much quieter. Beds weee comfortable. We appreciated the free parking in the rear. We were disappointed that there was no coffee maker (only a press) and the toaster didn’t work properly. The kitchen could probably use some more utensils, glasses, cups but overall it was adequate. Overall we had a god time and would book this place again.

Unique renovation

The cleverly worded description on the vrbo site adequately described this unique upstairs reno on a very busy main street of Halifax, north side. Cleanliness did not meet my standard.

Disappointment

Property on a very noisy street. Bed linens stained. Outside of property very dirty. Grocery cart of empty bottles out back. Other tenant smoked with smoke wafting into bedroom. No air conditioning so could not close windows. No doors on closets. Furniture desk in bedroom broken. Would not recommend.

NOT AS ADVERTISED!

Upon arrival - parking directions unclear, large pool of water in parking area, front porch disgustingly dirty. Inside - stale smell of pot throughout unit, people living on lower floor smoking pot regularly throughout our 5 day stay, smoke wafting through was horrible. Kitchen - ill-equipped, no drinking glasses, dishwasher not working, 3 extremely old stained pots for cooking. No large bowls for prep work/salads Otherwise, no ceiling fan, dirty and uncomfortable sofa and chair, window fans were a pain to use. Contact with property manager strictly through text messaging....too little, too late. Provided drinking glasses and 2 bowls the day before we left. Didn't fix dishwasher. Despite decent beds and a clean bathroom, VRBO was a huge disappointment. Would never use them again and would never recommend.
