The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Place bed linens in its pillowcase separate for each room.
Keep soiled Beach towels have all sand shaken out and place by stairs off kitchen.
All garbage must be properly sealed and placed out in front of the house in the streetlight directly in front. During your stay Garbage pickup days 7:00 AM Tuesday and Friday morning to avoid fines.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No PETS. NO PARTIES. Treat this like it is you own. We are not a hotel. We are better. Pick up after yourself is greatly appreciated.
Penalty of full day plus any additional damages for violation of accessing restricted/locked areas.

Wonderful summer vacation home. Close proximity to the beach, center of town, and the LIRR. Our kids and grandkids had a great time and the house provided plenty of space for the few hours of downtime due to rain

Great spacious house in a great location

We rented this house for a family vacation. The house was very comfortable and well-stocked. It was in a great location, easily walkable to the beach, stores, and restaurants.

Great Stay

The house is beautiful and well kept. It is only a couple of blocks from the beach. I spent a lot of time just sitting on the front porch. My family and I had a great stay and we look forward to staying here again.

Two Weeks of R&R with Friends!

We LOVED the house! It was the perfect size for our group. Super convenient location to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The host was always available for suggestions and recommendations. We would 100% book again!

Very pleasant for family

This house is quite nice. The front porch is a nice place to sit and read or have lunch. The kitchen is large and modern. The bedrooms are comfortable. The house is an easy walk to the LIRR station, the beach, and several stores and restaurants. I'll definitely stay there again.

Minor issue at check-in. The original access code did not work. The corrected access code was only sent a few hours ahead and did not reach all our party. Again minor issue, Otherwise excellent location, very clean, well equipped

It isn't actually an issue. It is security to protect the guest. Each code is generated minutes before check in specifically to the guest. We double checked and yours was sent at 3:48 PM EDT. We also reviewed camera footage which doesn't show any impending set backs on our end. Safety is our priority.

You asked for a favor yesterday, and my wife searched for hours to try and make it work. When we couldn't, you refused to pay and attempted to leave a disparaging review. If this were a hotel, they would have thrown you out. But because we couldn't accommodate you, you took advantage of us, caused us to incur a last-minute cancellation fee, and left the next guests without a prepared rental. How would you feel if you were them? You probably wouldn't care. But we do so guest do not have to. Now, a family coming in for a funeral is negatively impacted because you chose not to communicate and to stay beyond what you paid for. All of this could have been avoided. You could have stayed with your local family, assuming you were telling the truth about that. What is most unacceptable is that you yelled over my wife—the very person who worked for hours last night to help you. This is a shameful way to treat another family. A setback is no excuse for your actions, and you are old enough to know better. We are leaving this message here because my wife wants nothing further to do with you. You do not deserve her kindness. Do better.

The location is perfect. The house was built by this wonderful famous architect William L. McElfatrick for his wife. The home is spacious, clean and safe. The best part is you can really walk everywhere- to the beach, playground, train, markets, shops, library, brewery, restaurants and more!

We handle everything here ourselves and involved in every part. It is an older home and if something does arise that concerns you - just reach out. It will all be ok.
