Hughes Retreat Condominiums - Unit #303. PET FRIENDLY, Wireless Internet, Washer/Dryer/ We do take monthly rentals but only from Sept. 9 - May 11 in the Off-Season. This is a 3rd floor condo in Kill Devil Hills across the street from the beach. Public beach access is approx. 1 block south of Hughes (w/parking). Nice views of the ocean from the deck as you relax in our rocking chairs in the cool breeze. The interior is decorated in beach themes & pastels with every amenity you would need in the full kitchen. Two bedrooms each have a king size bed and the third bedroom has a pyramid bed (sleeps two on the bottom and one on the top plus a trundle bed pulls out from underneath). If the pyramid bed is not for you, then pull out the queen size sleep sofa in the living room and make yourself more comfortable. Each bedroom has its own Cable TV and a 40" HDTV in the living room as well as a Blu-Ray DVD w/WiFi. There is an elevator so you can go up to the 3rd floor easily. Pool (20'x30') available & 2 covered parking spaces.
Pet Friendly: We welcome Pets!! In fact, we have a golden retriever! There is a non-refundable pet fee of $100 charged to renters. There are quiet streets nearby to walk your pets. Please be considerate and clean up after your pet. Pets are not allowed on the beaches without a leash.

Between May 15 and September 15 of each year, no dogs shall be permitted on the public beach between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. unless being used to aid a handicapped person. At all other times, no dogs shall be permitted on the public beaches except upon a leash and under the control of owner or handler. Please clean up after your pet.
Updated!:2018 - This year we added Blu-Ray DVD w/WiFi and another new leather recliner w/foot rest as well as reupholstered sofa bed.

We had an amazing stay at the condo! It was clean and inviting! Fully stocked! And in a great location! Our Labrador loved the balcony! He was out there all the time watching everything! When we go back to the OBX, we’ll be sure to stay here again!
Fantastic and Exceptional Condo at the OBX!
We have stayed at this condo 3 times now, both on and off season and we have always been impressed. It is a rare find to have a condo that is located in the middle of everything that the Outer Banks has to offer, including amble nearby shopping and attractions, a pool, and the beach about 1 1/2 block away. Great restaurants (including the Kill Devil Grill and the Flying Fish) are adjacent to the condo property. The condo is exactly as it is described and the owners clearly demonstrate pride in their ownership! Clean, comfortable and very well maintained. Owners Linda & George think of everything and do a great deal to make sure your stay is perfect. They also maintain great communication before and after your stay as needed and are most accommodating. It is a bonus to be able to bring our dog to also enjoy the Outer Banks which is very pet friendly overall. I would highly recommend this condo both during the “beach season” and even off peak season, as the OBX is great in the both the spring and fall (no crowds, but the weather is usually good). We will be returning again soon!
Our 2nd time here and we anticipate a 3rd stay! This condo was perfect in every way! Well stocked, roomy, clean, pet friendly, a cart to take your things from car to elevator to condo, a wonderful pool, books, movies, games, close to all activities & restaurants- including the beach, a crockpot - so your dinner can be ready when you get time for dinner, a ground floor storage closet for fishing and beach gear, the list is endless. If you want a relaxing stress free time in the OBX- then this is the place for you and your family. You couldn't ask for a nicer condo or nicer people to rent it from! Stay here - you won't be disappointed!
Great condo! furnished very nicely and had everything we could ask for including games for the family to play. Great location and easy walk to the beach and shops. The dogs had a great vacation too and loved walking around the nice neighborhood in the evenings and strolling on the beach. The pool was fantastic and our go to spot every evening to relax and cool down.
The owners were very friendly and every time I had a question emailed me right away. We definitely will keep this on our go to list for a great family vacation including our furry babies.
We have been coming to the OBX for about 15 years now. We have stayed in several places from Duck to Rodanthe with different companies. Nothing has topped this lovely condo! it has it all! A pleasant surprise was a cart to bring the luggage and goodies up from the car. The elevator and cart made unloading and loading much easier, especially since we are 54 and 61. The ability to bring our beloved dog, Bella, (a dachshund) made this place perfect! It is so clean and well stocked. Roomy. Not worn out or old looking. Bright and cheerful. Love the large deck and rockers!. Pool was clean and comfy- great for just 12 condos! Covered parking keeps you out of the rain and sun for loading and unloading. Close to the beach- drive or walk. Nags head beaches are virtually a 1/2 block or so- allowing dogs with short leashes anytime. The owners are easy to work with and quick to respond to questions, concerns, etc. We have just booked our stay for 2016, and we are sure that this visit will be even better than this year. i have a feeling this will be our vacation home from now on.

perfect location, clean, beautifully decorated, king size beds were really comfortable. our "neighbors" commented on the luggage cart. short walk to the beach easy for the little ones. walk to stores and restaurants.
***PETS ARE WELCOME***Located in Kill Devil Hills near Milepost 10, and Nags Head. The beach is located directly across the street behind the Quality Inn. Public beach access is approx. 1/4 mi. north(walking path) or south (public parking at this access) of our driveway. The pool is located on the property directly behind the building. It is fenced in and there are lounging chairs available. We also have chairs and other beach items located in our storage room on the ground floor under the carport. Grocery stores, drugstores and shopping are within walking distance as well as restaurants. We are located between two very nice restaurants, Kill Devil Diner and The Flying Fish. The Public Boat Ramp is available on Bay Drive for Soundside use. **Currituck Lighthouse at the northern end of Rt. 12, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Hatteras Island Lighthouse and Ocracoke Island Lighthouse can be visited in nice day trips. Ride the Free car ferry from Hatteras Island to Ocracoke.
