Relax in the steam and watch the snowflakes fall. Come out and enjoy!

Big Sky is a renown ski area, with it’s steep, challenging, heart stopping black diamond runs and chutes, it’s long blue cruisers and perfectly groomed, easy green slopes. Chose the one that fits you and have a wonderful experience that you will always remember.

Ski in Ski out Access:

Ski in and out to Big Sky Resort. Best for skiers. Possible for children and Snowboarders, but ski-in can be more difficult for these groups.

Ski out- Travel down the road to the Thunderwolf Lift.

Ski in- Intermediate and Expert take Silverknife to Bear Back Poma. Ski past the bottom of the Poma on the ski trail to Low Dog Road. From here ski the road back to the house. We recommend beginners ski to the Summit Hotel and walk out the front of the hotel and ski the road the whole way back down to Low Dog Road. Silverknife may be too step for beginners. Note: During periods of melting the road could be exposed and cause the property to lose ski access since the road is necessary for parts of the process. Home is only ski accessible when road is snow covered.

The summers offer endless activities. The zip line on the mountain, bicycling, and golf in Meadow Village. Take a three minute stroll to Lake Levinski for shore fishing, or a gentle ride on a paddleboat. The Gallatin River offers Blue Ribbon fly fishing, white water rafting, kayaking, or a mesmerizing spot for a picnic. Big Sky has many hiking trails, and adjoins the beautiful Spanish Peaks Wilderness with it’s endless trails for hiking or horse back riding, or chose a horseback ride with a fun steak dinner on a spectacular mountain meadow.

***Montana is a state where we receive snow on the ground 9 out of the 12 months. Therefore, we do not have air conditioning. If you would like (during your stay), we are more than welcome to supply fans at no charge.***

***You can request humidifiers during your stay for an additional $10.00 per humidifier.***

About Beehive Property Management

Marty and Zenalou Bennis took their first ski lessons at age 40 and 38 at a small ski area in Minnesota, along with our four sons, Gregory, Jeffery, Daniel and Tom ages 9 to 15. At the end of the lesson, the children disappeared, while Marty and Zenalou tried over and over to conquer the bunny slope. Three hours later, the boys reappeared astounded that we were still struggling to hang onto the same slope and announced, “we’ve been all over already.” OK. From that day in 1970 to this we have loved the sport, and concluded that it is the finest of all family sports. All ages and abilities can ski where they like and join the family at days end, to share and laugh at the fun and mishaps. We always filled our vehicle, first a station wagon, and later a motor home, with as many of the children’s friends as we could fit, most of whom still ski.

Beehive Property Management purchased this house in 1995

Why Beehive Property Management chose Big Sky Mountain Village

After years of skiing in many areas of the west Marty and Zenalou found Big Sky, MT in March before it opened the following December. A few condominiums had been built in Meadow Village, and there was one left, which Chet Huntley assured us we needed. We agreed and became proud owners of a two bedroom Silverbow Condo. We eventually sold it, and over time, owned three different condo’s on the mountain. Then one cold day with a blizzard raging, we decided to check out an ideally located, partially finished, home on Low Dog Road, and fell in love. Finishing our new home took the summer of 1995. We named it Cliffhanger, celebrated it’s Grand Opening over Christmas and it has been loved and enjoyed by our children, grandchildren and many friends, both summer and winter, ever since.

What makes this house unique

Staying at Cliffhanger is a feast for the eyes. The beauty of the surrounding area refreshes ones spirit. Watching the snow fall, then marvel over the sculptures it creates. A warm crackling fire, a game of cards, working one of the ever present puzzles, listening to a CD, watching a video, or TV. Soaking in the outdoor under cover hot tub. Laughing and reliving our day with family and friends while sitting at the welcoming kitchen counter. Games for the children. It’s a special time. In summer, we have watched the bears stroll down the road, a mother moose come down out of the forest with her wobbly legged baby who could barely stay upright, but followed her bravely down to the creek. Deer are often present, the mountain birds and busy squirrels who chewed the opening in the bird house to the right size and now it’s their home. The wild flowers seem like God’s decorations. We open the windows and listen to the West Fork of the Gallatin as it makes it’s way to the river. Sightseeing the area always seems new, and we never tire of it.

A Slice of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for opening up your home again for us to stay. The snow skiing was very good as usual. We were able to ski down to the Thunder Wolf chair again this trip so the short walk to the poma was not necessary.

Our two families(9 people) were able to get lost in your spacious home. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the house. Your garage/ping pong/pool/ski/boot room is a great set up.

We hope to be back soon to enjoy the beautiful view of the mountain from your living room!

A week at the cliffhanger house

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Cliffhanger was unbelievable....Short walk to the poma lift...skiing back to the house...plenty room for 11 adults......everything worked......jacuzzi was great after skiing.....I would rent this place again in a hart beat.....

The only negative thing I could say would be the size of the bedrooms much smaller than the pictures on the web site......

Great Big Sky Accomodations!

  • 5 of 5

My company rented the house to entertain several of our best sales folks. It was a perfect location close to the village at the base of the mountain and all it has to offer and a very comfortable retreat after skiing. Great hot tub and garage game room. The only disappointment was the lack of a quality Televisions for viewing the sporting events happening during our week.

In the village we found Mr. Hummers and Montana Jacks with live entertainment to be perfect spots to unwind after skiing each day.

I would highly recommend "Cliffhanger" to anyone wanting a excellent Big Sky experience!

Everything you need in a ski cabin

  • 5 of 5

My group of life long friends are trying to ski some of the best mountains in North America. Naturally Big Sky was on the list. This cabin offered exactly what we were looking for. It was 5-10 walking to the village at the base of the mountain, walk across the street to load the lift, best view of the mountain, outdoor hot tub and a comfortable atmosphere. Although our group was only 7 people the cabin could very comfortably fit 10 adults. If it lacks one thing it is updated TVs, but to be honest it was the best thing that could have happened as we spent more time playing cards, talking and soaking in the hot tub.

It snowed several days during our trip and the management group had someone at the house every morning to remove snow and make sure there was easy access.

I would recommend this cabin and without question would stay there again.
