Why The Owner chose North Coast

My wife and I have long enjoyed the Mendocino Coast and visited frequently as weekend get-aways. We were fortunate to meet many locals and eventually locate a home for sale that we fell in love with.

What makes this house unique

Our favorite feature of this vacation home is how utterly relaxing it is. Even when we visit with all intentions to accomplish work away from work, the relaxation gene kicks in unexpectedly, and all tensions or stress from our work-a-day life melt away.

Relaxed, comfortable, safe, homey feel.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the vacation home. It has a beautiful ocean view, a big porch with chairs, plenty of comfortable setting inside, just an overall relaxing and comfortable place to get away too. A definite rent again!

Great House in Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED this house. The setting was private and "woodsy" and the view overlooking the coastline was fantastic - especially when viewed from the Jacuzzi on the veranda!

The kitchen was very well stocked with everything one would need and the rest of the house was furnished in a comfortable cottage fashion. A cozy living room with fireplace was just the thing at night. My granddaughter enjoyed the hideaway upstairs and slept there a few times.

A peaceful, relaxing stay in a peaceful, relaxing and comfortably cozy house.

Wowee Kazowee Awesome

  • 4 of 5

After being confused by our Mapquest app warning of an unpaved road on our route, we had to laugh when it probably meant the 20 feet of the driveway to this awesome hideaway family vacation. Absolutely quaint and cozy were the upstairs bedrooms with a view out of one of the majestic Pacific in all its crashing glory. Our son and daughter-in-law took the downstairs room and it's own view and close proximity of the hot tub. Easy access to Hwy 1 and a quick shot up to Mendocino and an awesome market with a great selection of organic yummies. Grilled us up some fresh salmon on the gas grill for dinner and sat around comparing other family vacations as we put together a 1000 piece puzzle. And, yes we finished except for 1 missing piece! Our daughter was thrilled over seeing a mama deer and her 2 fawns, and a Wiley little fox made an appereance as well. all this wildlife view out the side glass doors. Weather was a little chilly, but we still enjoyed opening our bedroom windows and looking out to sea through the little spyglass. Sang our daughter to sleep with our rendition of Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star gazing out the window overhead the bed in her room. This was truly a memorable family vacation.

Thank you so much for opening your door to us for our 4 night stay for our 30 year anniversary. Four nights/five days of wonderful relaxation in a lovely home, with everything we needed right there. The home was perfect, the view outstanding and we absolutely relaxed and remembered how to breathe. What a great kitchen - we did not need to go out at all - great fireplace, loved the upstairs bathroom - so cute! Most of our time was spent in the hot tub enjoying the ocean view and sounds. A little fox comes by almost daily too - gorgeous little thing - sits right out on the side porch next to the field, looking for breakfast, just beyond the dining room windows. Oh - and windows everywhere - I loved it. Love the porch - just can't find a negative thing to say about our whole lovely vacation. Books galore, tons of games, enough to keep your mind busy if you just want to stay home. Some secret places too, if you have kids who like to hide. We will be back - we just loved everything about this place. Thank you so much.

Beautiful and private

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a girls weekend. It is a lovely house. It had everything we needed. We discovered Saturday morning that the water heater was broken and they had a plumber out very quickly to fix the problem.

If you do stay here do yourself a favor and sit on the deck to watch the sun set into the ocean, it's quite a sight.
