Why Owner chose Albion
My wife and I have long enjoyed the Mendocino Coast and visited frequently as weekend get-aways. We were fortunate to meet many locals and eventually locate a home for sale that we fell in love with.
What makes this House unique
Our favorite feature of this vacation home is how utterly relaxing it is. Even when we visit with all intentions to accomplish work away from work, the relaxation gene kicks in unexpectedly, and all tensions or stress from our work-a-day life melt away.

Lovely weekend with family
We gathered family from Chico, New Mexico and Indiana for a weekend stay on the coast and this home met our needs quite well. We enjoyed the cozy stove and comfy seating in the living room. While not directly on the coast, there was a nice view from the deck and other rooms. We ate all our meals at the the home and the kitchen had everything we needed. The griddle on the stove cooked pancakes and French toast just right. The beds upstairs were comfortable, but the one downstairs was more of a “deep valley” bed. There were plenty of towels both for the bath and hot tub. The comforters were nice since it was chilly in the evenings. The water in the hot tub was cloudy from being well water, but not dirty.
The home was quite clean, as it should be, given the additional cleaning fee. There was no odor of dogs or must that others have mentioned. The owners gave concise directions so there was no difficulty finding the home or operating the gate for entrance.
I certainly recommend this home to others looking for a comfortable spot to enjoy the coast.j
Lovely home, beautiful spot
Went for 5 days with my two adult children, their partners and granddaughter and don't forget the furry friend. The house was modest and lovely. Comfortable beds, rooms and kitchen were all well equipped, so was the game closet and book selection. We had no problem with a musty smell others have mentioned. We had good cell phone reception and the internet worked for us though it was slow a few times. Did have a problem with the dishwasher then located the GFI in the cabinet next to the dishwasher which had flipped due to moisture. We dried it out with the hair dryer for a few minutes and it worked fine. Close to Mendocino and Ft. Bragg yet private in a quiet area. Loved sitting out watching the ocean view in the morning. Will visit this home again when we return to the area. Everyone enjoyed the house and area. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Great for the whole family! My kids got a kick outta all the "hidden rooms" I think they were expecting to find Harry Potter under the stairwell. Lots of puzzles and games to play, and a fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful deck, very private. Our favorite part was listening to the ocean and star gazing in the hot tub. We look forward to booking again!
Nice cabin in wooded area with partial ocean views. Filled with everything needed for a fun filled weekend! Slow internet, but who cares?
Great if you're traveling with your dog!
This was a very sweet, homey feeling vacation house. The views were nice and you feel very secluded and safe. If you are traveling with your dog, this is a great option. Very dog friendly. A few cons: There is a musty dog smell when you first arrive, the mattress in the downstairs bedroom felt a bit too broken in and the door knobs in the bathrooms kept falling off. Otherwise, a nice place. The master bedroom is lovely and the living room was very comfortable too. Easy to get to and easy to get to town!
Perfect 3 night getaway
My two 30-ish daughters and I just spent 3 wonderful nights at this house. It was everything we could have hoped for. It was a great location for our day trips into Mendocino and Fort Bragg, and the time we spent at the house itself was so much fun! I got up earlier than they did and sat out on the front deck and watched the ocean every morning after a great night sleep - the beds are so comfy! We made breakfast each day at the house, as well as chocolate chip cookies. We went in the hot tub, watched a movie, played Mad Libs. . . It was a perfectly relaxing getaway from the Bay Area. Loved it!
