About this property

Adorable private cottage with lake views and access.

A private two-bedroom/1 bath cozy cottage (860 sq ft) with everything you need to feel at home. Less than an hour to Acadia National Park and plenty of stores and activities, but secluded enough for a relaxing time with friends/family. Lake views and access within easy walking distance.

The main floor of the property houses a kitchen, living room, sunroom, bathroom and washer/dryer. The second floor has two bedrooms; one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds. There is an additional twin bed in the living room that also serves as a couch!

There is air conditioning on the floor with the bedrooms; one in each room. We also provide window fans for the main floor to help on the hotter days. I'm a sucker for open windows and doors!

As noted, this sweet camp is 860 square feet. It is ideal for couples or families. Max occupancy is 5 people; but please keep in mind some may find it tight for 5 adults! But, as they say: Love grows best in little houses, just like this!

We loved our stay here and felt right at home with everything we needed. It was so quiet and relaxing. Watching the sun rise on Green Lake was a peaceful beginning to each. The beds were comfortable and we both slept great. WiFi worked great. We highly recommend this unique cottage. Thank you, Michelle, for being such a thoughtful host.

Loved loved loved the house and the view from the deck! Might be difficult for older travelers because the bedrooms are up steep stairs and the only bathroom is downstairs. The stairs are well lit, though. It was easy to get to Bar Harbor, Acadia NP, Bradley, and Ellsworth from here. Would definitely stay here again.

My mother and I loved our stay here! She had some difficulty with the stairs (85 years old!), but found the daybed on the ground floor perfectly comfortable. The setting felt private and cozy. I appreciated stargazing from the upstairs bed at night. The decor was eclectic and charming. Fresh cut flowers were a nice touch. I highly recommend this adorable cottage, and hope to return some day, myself. There are so many fun adventures to be had within a half hour radius! Bangor, Acadia, various walks, lobsters, etc!

The cottage is so charming and it made for a wonderful and comfortable stay near Acadia! We enjoyed reading on the deck and walking along the tracks. Michelle was a wonderful host. She offered plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area, and was kind, accommodating, and very responsive.

Everything one would expect from an experienced host who excels! Well appointed kitchen, beautiful setting, smooth process. Easy drive to Acadia (about 35 minutes) and sort distance to stores. The best part was the little touches that most hosts would not do: for example, welcome message on blackboard in kitchen, motion activated lights up the stairs, incredible responsiveness. I would rent here again in a heartbeat!

The property was lovely!! We enjoyed all the little quaint touches making it feel like home.The check in process was easy and quick. Communication from host was Excellent. Access to the dock and swimming were good. Enjoyed using the grill and making a fire.Overall experience excellent!! Would definitely recommend this place and come back.

House was cozy and clean. Cannot beat the sunrise views over the lake. We enjoyed exploring nearby Acadia and Bar Harbor (about 45 mins away). Bangor is also close and had some great food options (11 Central was excellent). We had an issue with the AC during our stay but the host was responsive and resolved it immediately. Thanks for a great stay!

We really enjoyed the peace & quiet of this simple “base” house after each day trip. The location is half way between Acadia and Bangor making it easy to visit both areas. Michelle gave us plenty of great suggestions for visiting Acadia and surrounding areas, even for rainy days. Our favorite spot was Schoodic Point to watch seals and the waves crashing at high tide. The home is well cared for, clean and set up nicely for making our own meals and relaxing. The queen bed is comfortable and we slept better than at home actually! We enjoyed sunrise views of the lake as we awoke and also from the porch & deck with our morning coffee. Care has been taken to place motion sensor night lights on the stairway to the bedrooms. This was very helpful for nighttime needs! The description of the location and house is very accurate. Michelle gave good instructions for entering the gravel lane that goes to the house and for parking. At first sight the lane might seem tricky…. But it isn’t! We would definitely stay again if we return to the Downeast Coast of Maine. Thanks Michelle for offering such a nice vacation home!

We have had the BEST stay here! Michelle was so easy to communicate with and so helpful. We were traveling with two kiddos and she made sure we had everything we could need, from life jackets to Dog Man books. The cottage was very well stocked, homey, and comfortable. I loved the little wildflower bouquets in each room. The deck overlooking the lake was so picturesque. We rode a Revolution Rail bike along Green Lake (the station is just steps from the cottage) and highly recommend it to other travelers! The beach and swimming area are also super close and awesome for the kids. The large yard and fire pit were also huge hits. This was our home base for two days in Acadia, but we wish we’d had longer just to have more time here!

Perfect family getaway

It was wonderful. The property owners were wonderful, they keep the property well stocked, and very clean. They were wonderful to communicate with. And the location is just gorgeous. My partner and I plan to come back in the summer if we can!
