What a great place from which to experience DownEast Maine. Close enough to many beautiful spots: Acadia Nat Park, Scoodic Peninsula, Bar Harbor and more. But also a quiet place to relax and enjoy lakeside living, campfires and the stars. Nicely furnished and exceptionally gracious hosts.

Our stay at Pebblenook Lodge was fantastic! The cabin was beautiful, immaculately taken care of, and so relaxing to stay in. Sitting on the deck drinking coffee in the rockers overlooking the lake was our favorite part of the day. It was fun to explore the lake in the kayaks, the water was very relaxing and refreshing on a hot day, and the raft to swim out to and jump off of was fun for the kids. It was very quiet and the stars at night were amazing! Bar Harbor and Acadia are not too far away, we really enjoyed the drive out there and ended up going out there almost every day. It was nice to come back to a quiet cabin after the craziness and crowds of Bar Harbor! We would highly recommend staying here!

Pebblenook paradise

We were very impressed with Pebblenook. The house was immaculate and perfect for our intended vacation. The house was fully stocked with quality cookware and had a good array of kitchen utensils. The house is conveniently located next to Arcadia and Bangor. Although the weather was really crappy, we took full advantage of our time there to go to Cadillac Mountain at sunrise, explore Arcadia NP, visit lighthouses, went on a puffin boat tour and checked out Stephen King’s house. We discovered at great place, called Pugnuts, to get ice-cream.Our hosts Tim and Sharon were very welcoming and accessible to our needs.

Beautiful Property!

We had a wonderful stay at Pebblenook Lodge. The house was very comfortable for our family, and had everything we needed for cooking meals, etc. We loved the yard games, relaxing on the deck, s'mores at the firepit, and swimming and canoeing on the lake. It was a great home base for our adventures to Acadia and Schoodic. Highly recommend!

Simply the Best!

This was our first time in Maine and Pebblenook Lodge was the perfect place to stay! Not only was it super clean, but the ambience of the location by the lake and the log cabin interior was the best! Tim and Sharon are super hosts with their attention to every detail! They definitely set the bar high for other VRBO’s! We hope to return some day to this awesome property some day! Thank you Tim & Sharon!

Awesome place, Awesome hosts

Place was as described. Hosts were great. Our toaster broke and the next morning after speaking with the hosts a new one was on the porch waiting for us. They gave great recommendations for around town. We had a great time not only enjoying the lake and house but also adventuring around Acadia, Ellsworth and Mt. Desert Island. Definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing Cabin with spectacular views

This cabin had everything we were looking for, seclusion but close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. The owners really took pride in this cabin, very clean and accommodating. Amazing kitchen with brand new appliances, and separate thermostats for every room. It was our first visit to Maine, and when we come back we’ll be sure to rent this cabin again (if available). The views alone was worth the price!

Vacation

Overall great property. Excellent location of you are looking for a nice cabin on a wonderful lake with activities to do including boating (kayaks and canoes), camp fires, and some games, certainly look at this property. Also make sure to stop at Dorr’s lobster just down the road. Great people there. And spend a day whale watching out of Bar Harbor. Only “negative” is the property really cannot handle 6 people. Wasn’t an issue for us but that’s why the 4 stars for accuracy of listing.

Cozy Lakeside home

Very clean home on Graham Lake. Upstairs bedroom with its own private bath and downstairs bedroom with hall bath are good size and the beds are comfortable. The lower level unfinished area also has a queen bed. The dual function coffeepot (Keurig and regular) was convenient. Plenty of outdoor seating on the wooden deck and around the fire pit. We loved having the two canoes (one is a 3-seater) and two kayaks available - we wished we could have used them more but it was a little too breezy for us. The owners are really friendly and right on the same site so if you have any problems (we did not), they are immediately available to assist. The location is about 10-15 minutes from Main Street in Ellsworth, and about 35-40 minutes from Bar Harbor with no traffic. Thanks, Tim and Sharon!

The perfect quiet family getaway!

We had the most amazing week at Timothy's property. My husband and I and our five children (ages 3-12) stayed at the house and loved every minute of it. We hiked in nearby Acadia National Park and Gulf Hagas, and enjoyed paddling around the lake in the canoe and kayaks. We were there for four nights and didn't see another person on the lake until the last day. It was so quiet and beautiful and just what we needed. The kids had a blast playing on the lake and we all enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It had beautiful large windows looking out at the lake and a large deck to sit out on as well. The kitchen was spacious and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We wished we could have stayed another week! Timothy was nearby if we needed anything and was a very kind and generous host. I highly recommend this property!

Beautiful Lakefront property

We found the cabin very clean and tastefully decorated. Well equipped with high end appliances. Complete kitchen gadgets if you’re into eating in. The beds are comfortable. One thing to note though is the futon bed is in unfinished basement. The 2 bedrooms are comfortable. The living, dining and kitchen are all in one open space. The lake view from the balcony is awesome - serene and relaxing. We enjoyed morning coffees there listening to sounds of nature. We kayaked on the calm lake. We used the fire pit one night and enjoyed s’mores. There were 2 days were the serenity was disrupted while construction was going on Pebblenook Way. But once the construction is done for the day, we heard birds and nature again. Star gazing was awesome on clear nights, but bring bug spray as it gets buggy at night. Tim was responsive and accessible. He has his camper parked at the property. Very friendly host.

Wonderful property! The hosts have thought through every detail to make this stay a great experience. The cabin is beautiful inside and out. We felt right at home and took advantage of the fire pit and Kayaks during the stay. We appreciated the quick run through of the property with Tim and appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and games that were provided. 10/10 lake cabin experience. We spent most of our time in Acadia, which was a comfortable drive away. The cabin was fairly close to a small market and town for food and groceries. Great place!

We had a wonderful visit to the Pebblenook Cabin. The house is in a beautiful spot - right on the lake (which we had entirely to ourselves), and the house is perfect. Timothy and Sharon have thought of everything - with tons of cookware, toys, books, blankets, etc for adults and kids alike. Our kids loved the s'mores they left for us and had a blast playing lawn games (bocce and corn hole), diving into the lake off the floating dock, fishing off the big rock, and playing in the water with the pool noodles provided. The adults loved using the kayaks and canoes onsite and having a cup of coffee on the porch with an amazing view. Timothy and Sharon were super helpful with recommendations on places eat and things to see and do, and we had a wonderful time relaxing at the house and traveling into town to visit Acadia (which is about 30-45 min away). We would love to stay here again next time we visit Maine!
