*AGE: There is a strict minimum age requirement of 25 to book this property! A copy of your Photo I.D. will be required at the time of booking.
*COMPLEX AMENITIES: (1) Elevator, Outdoor Zero Entry Pool, BBQ area with charcoal grills, Boardwalk to Beach, On Site Security Guard.
*PARKING: Ocean House offers onsite parking for up to 2 vehicles, and a fee of $40.00 CASH each is required. Your parking pass will be purchased from the Guard on site at arrival. Ocean House has limited parking, therefore you can only purchase up to 2 parking passes and trailer/ motor home parking is prohibited. Please note that covered parking is only for Owners.
*PETS: This is NOT a pet friendly property. Any evidence of a pet being on site may result in fines or possible eviction.
*MONTHLY RENTALS: This property is available for monthly rentals during non-peak seasons. Please call or email our office for monthly rates.
*CANCELLATION: In the event you have to cancel we will work with you as much as possible, however we do have a Cancellation Policy in place. Cancellation must be more than 30 days prior to arrival date and submitted in writing directly to our office email, , to receive a refund of all monies paid minus your processing fee. Condo needs better cleaners. Queen bedroom needs a new bed and mattress. Location was great. Parking was easy. Guests do not need to do dishes. Found dirty dishes in cabinets.

Beds could be a little more comfortable, the vacuum needs updated, the broom and mop that is in the condo for the renters use need to be updated. The mop isn’t good and the broom handle was very short.

Nice vacation
The overall vacation was nice. The lobby needs a major scrub down as it smelled like urine. Our condo was nice there were a few things that didn’t work, but we dealt with it the toaster didn’t work and the dryer took forever to dry clothes. We loved to sit on the balcony and watch the dolphins. My other daughter enjoyed sitting on the Bayside balcony. We loved the location as our older kids could walk to the hang out.

I really wanted to love this place—it has a beautiful location by the ocean, and the owner is so sweet but unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations. The kitchen was poorly stocked, lacking basic utilities and even coffee filters, salt, pepper, etc which made mornings a hassle.The checkout process was especially frustrating. I was required to do dishes by hand at 6am before leaving, instead of just being able to run the dishwasher. It felt more like I was cleaning up after someone else than wrapping up my own vacation. For the price, I expected a more guest-friendly experience.

We wish you would've asked us about the items mentioned during your stay so that we could've clarified a few of the items for you. Per our arrival/departure information that we email out to guests about 10 days prior to their arrival, it lets you know the items we supply as a complimentary "start-up" for your stay. The "start-up" items are to keep you from having to run to the store immediately upon arrival, and features necessity items such as a roll of tissue per bathroom, a roll of paper towels for the kitchen, single use laundry detergent, single use dishwasher detergent, single use soaps, and each trash receptacle has a bag in it for you to begin your stay. Condiments and spices for the kitchen, coffee filters, and grocery items are your responsibility to supply. We are terribly sorry if you thought otherwise, however we have never supplied those items. As for washing the dishes, it is not required, nor do we expect each guest to clean prior to departure. We ask the unit be picked up, and all dishes clean and put away, in order for housekeeping to do their job and make sure the unit is cleaned and disinfected properly for the next guest. The departure information gives a list of items that we ask you perform, but in no way is it expected for you to clean at 6 am prior to your departure. We hate you feel this way, but hope this response to your negative review will assist with clarification and help you to in fact love this place a little more, or at least make you like it and want to book it again for a future stay. Also, please note that we offer a discount to all returning guests no matter the property they choose to return to. Thank you for letting us know of your experience. Loved the condo but i felt like i needed to clean when i got there, bathtub in master dirty,so we're tables and the rug in kitchen needs to be thrown away, my biggest complaint was not being able to put up tent on beach, me and my husband are too old to walk 2 condos down and set up and take the risk of being told to move again, we should have been told this before we came and its not the city it's the condo association, after $80 dollars for umbrellas it went well.More info would be great!

Overall stay was great. Only thing that I didn’t not like was the fridge not staying cold, nor the freezer. I contacted the manager and she kind of just gave me the run around, when it takes longer than 24 hours to get cold something is wrong, then the freezer part was not working, it melted the ice cream and remind you it was set on the coldest temperature as well. The garbage disposal in the sink didn’t work either. The cleaning people needs to be more cleaner on the floors.

We hadn’t been in 6 years so of course the property had changed a bit due to a previous hurricane. The pool used to be so nice & it just looked like maybe some paint would help. We hadn’t ever rented this unit & it was fine for the most part except mold blown out across the ceiling where the air ducts were. 2 dining chairs out of 8 had cushions & there was a cushion up against the wall on the balcony that was covered in mold & looked like it had been there for a while. Just things house keeping could’ve handled easily by removing it from the condo & cleaning the ceiling around the air ducts. We still had a great time. The beach & ocean were beautiful as usual.

It’s time for lots of updates
This property needs a lot of tender loving care. Upon arrival this is what we found:
Dishes in dishwasher
Dishes in cabinet dirty
Washer dirty
Washer makes loud grinding sounds
Shower curtain liner torn
Shower curtain molded
Bedroom curtain has large holes
Pullout bed was full of crumbs
Beds uncomfortable
Fake nails in middle bedroom closet
Balcony chairs rusted & broken
-Time to look into getting a new cleaning service
Here’s the only 2 reason this place was okay:
1. check in was great. We were given the information for codes and that worked perfectly.
2. Once in the unit we noticed the ac was not working properly. We reached out and contact was made with us immediately. Maintenance showed up the next morning to fix the problem.

As for the cleaning issues, we have no record of them being brought to our attention. We hate you experienced the issues with the dishes and the shower curtain as we would've immediately had housekeeping correct the issues for you. The next guest reported the issue with the washing machine and we are happy to report it was repaired and is now working great without the added noise. Amazing experience from the booking process, and through out our entire stay. The condo was clean and fully furnished with everything needed to cook and eat with. There were 9 of us and plenty of dishes & utensils for all. Communication was A++.
The AC worked really WELL. Something went wonky with the AC on our last night BUT a quick call to the number provided in our information packet and problem solved. Sarah would have had a tech sent out within the hour but together, over the phone we found the issue and problem solved!!
Condo is 2.5 miles from a Walmart Supercenter, 2 minute walk to a Pier 33 for extras you may have forgotten. It’s a small convenience store / beach items, books & games.
The security folks are very helpful and friendly. Need ice, just ask them. They have it in the guard shack 😊
My only suggestion would be to include a couple rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom instead of one roll.
We will definitely be staying in room 2906 again!!

The condo we stayed in was great, but we were unhappy with the security. They gave us bracelets, but they were too large for my younger children, so they didn’t wear them since they fell off constantly and I didn’t want them to lose them. As a result, my daughters got yelled at multiple times because the security guards thought they were guests from other condo complexes, and when they told the security guards they were in our pool bag, they continued to give them a hard time as if they didn’t believe them. I understand the need for security and appreciate it, but I was very unhappy with how they treated us as paying guests. And for friends of ours who vacationed with us, they didn’t even give them bracelets for their kids who are the same age as mine, so the inconsistency was frustrating.

I have been coming down to Gulf shores for the last 6 years with my family of 8. This condo was the worst I have stayed. We stay at a condo so we can cook at home. The kitchen utensils were old, bent , knives dull. Very few pots and pans . I must say they provided a nice steaming pot. There was not a complete set of dishes, coffee cups etc. the throw rugs in the kitchen were filthy(I have pictures). The air return was also filthy. There was not a dresser in the one bedroom and in the master bedroom there were water toys in the closet that left little room for clothes. All the mattress’s needed replaced along with the patio furniture.the broom and dust pan would not pick up the sand. No room for food items due to the pantry being so small. The coffee maker leaked. It needs a deep clean and new kitchen items. I won’t be coming back to Ocean house.

We would've gladly addressed any issues that you had if you would've alerted us while you were here. We also hate to hear that you did not have kitchen items or found the items that were available not up to standard as we would've easily replaced them, even the coffee maker. We cannot assist you with issues if you do not reach out to us and give us the opportunity to help. We are so sorry that your experience was only a 2 star in this property .Sincerely,

Great views, condo needs some love
None of the TV's worked, which usually isn't a big deal for us, but we were in town for a baseball tournament and the teen/dads wanted to watch the college World Series at night. AC doesn't work. Set at 70 all week but was 76 in the condo all week. Washer sounds like it's going to take flight when spinning, full size bed in what I would describe as the "kids room" (because it is definitely not for adults) mattress is AWFUL. Both parties roll to the middle of the mattress and when it is hot due to no AC, you don't get much sleep. Ceiling fan in "kids room" also doesn't work on any setting except low. This place has beautiful views and a great location, but the condo itself is not worth the money in my opinion. We did call maintenance the first day because there was a puddle of water by the AC unit when we arrived and they were prompt and very helpful. Not enough bedside tables/dressers for the amount of people it will sleep. Will sleep 9. We had 6 and there was nowhere to put suitcases/clothes in the middle bedroom. Lounge chair on back deck worn to the point that you can't sit in it unless you want to lay on a bar in the middle of your back. We didn't call maintenance after the first day because they would have been there all week fixing everything.

We hate you had so many issues during your stay with us in this great property. It seems like the moment you arrived, everything decided to go haywire! We are happy to report the A/C has been replaced and is working excellent. We also had the washing machine repaired and it is no longer making the loud noise. We are unsure of the issues you mentioned regarding the televisions unless they were not on the correct input. This is definitely something maintenance could've assisted you with and we always encourage you to communicate any issue promptly and efficiently to any property manager you book with so they can assist you accordingly. We understand you felt as though there were too many issues to be handled during your stay, and that you also did not want to be bothered on vacation, but we also want you to know that we depend on the communication of our guests to assist with making sure our properties are well maintained and to bring these minor issues to our attention. We hope that despite the issues mentioned, you had an enjoyable stay and hope you will come be our guest again soon. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We will be working with our owner to have each matter addressed properly.

Lacking a lot!
This place has a couple of pics that are not accurate. The master bathroom needs serious remodeling. The floor is cracking. The shower/bathtub has a door on it (not pictured in photo of this bathroom in ad) and right inside that door (which doesn't open very well btw) is black stains all around the tub, water puddles all around the sides. All showers/baths had basic, old, crappy showerheads/spouts. The one in the master kept slipping down and the water changed from nice and warm to hot shots and cold shots sporadically for no apparent reason. At night in the master bedroom you can hear the elevator going up and down all night. There is no dresser type furniture in the middle room besides one small end table, so I couldn't even unpack my kids things in there at all except by putting it all over the floor. There were NO hair dryers in any rooms (some ppl expect this, I don't personally use them at the beach, but just as an FYI for those that do). No coat hangers in the closets (only 5 or so in the third bedroom. The table on the patio was old and mix matched chairs, one of which was plastic. The floor out there was black as if never ever washed off. My son and I walked out barefoot and our feet were so blackened it took 20 mins in the shower scrubbing with soap to try and get it off! Front balcony only had one chair and some end table, both cheap plastic ones from Walmart. We were awakened by load trash pick up every morn at 7:15am. This is a THREE bedroom condo and there is only ONE couch and two small chairs. We could never sit all together in the living room due to lack of seating. Not what I would expect for paying as much as we did for this place.
Ocean House in general: Only one elevator made "check out day" a nightmare! We literally had to wait a whole hour trying to get our cart on because it was packed full every time it opened and being on the top we never had a chance. The bathrooms by the pool were always nasty, I'm not convinced they were cleaned the entire week we were there. There were even times there was no tissue in them. Did not look like it was looked after by the building staff.
Bottom line, I would not recommend this particular unit. And honestly not a huge fan of the entire experience at Ocean House in general. Do yourself a favor and keep looking!
