My great grandparents were born in Charlevoix. My great grandfather lived in a home overlooking Round Lake on Dixon Avenue, and he owned a boat building and repair business. He later owned a boarding house on Michigan Avenue. My mother was born in Charlevoix, and went to Charlevoix Highschool, before it was the town library (make sure you visit the library! It's wonderful!). I went to Michigan State University, as did most of my family (with several attending U of M, as well). I have aunts, uncles and family who lives in Charlevoix, and my uncle was a principal at Charlevoix High School, and my grandfather was the mayor of Charlevoix over 60 years ago. It's a beautiful little town with lots to do, and great day trips to Petoskey, Bellaire, East Jordan etc. I hope you love it as much as we do!

If you appreciate a bygone era, this cottage is for you. We have really tried to keep with the vintage era this home reflects with period furnishings and decor, while offering the ammenities a traveler needs in today's world. The cottage is just a few steps from Downtown, East Park, and the marina. You can walk out the door and cross the street to eat at The Villager's Pub, or get up early on a Thursday morning to visit the Farmer's market in town. If you appreciate the historical aspects of Charlevoix, you will not want to miss the Library and The Harsha House Museum.

The best part of this cottage is how close it is to downtown. You can walk to everything,. The bridge and it's walkway to the lighthouse are just a few blocks from the house. The cottage itself, has some neat features, like hardwood floors, transit windows, and an adorable upstairs dormer with views of Round Lake. We also hope to have an outdoor deck built by the end of May, to add a nice outdoor space for relaxing.
