This place is a true trifecta vacation for all seasons - lake living year round to enjoy - quick Atlantic ocean beach trips for warmer months and quick skiing trips in the area & ice fishing local on our lake out back in the winter months. We are literally right on a 648 acre lake with all of the boating toys for use on your private dock. You can enjoy a wide range of fishing or boating activities and have several islands in the middle to explore. During the winter you can enjoy ice fishing and we have the auger and flags in the garage. You can also go to several local ski resorts starting around 45 minutes to get to. For non-winter seasons and certainly the summer, guests love to drive to the Atlantic ocean for a beach trip and that can be reached in 45 minutes as well. It is such a central location only 1 hour to Portland beaches and 2 hours to Acadia National Park!
Guest access Your party will have private access to the entire home. The detached garage gives access to park 1 vehicle and you have full use access to five boats: 5-person peddle boat, tandem 2-person kayak, kayak, youth kayak and family canoe. We provide many personal floatation devices for all ages. We also have the gear there for ice fishing to cut holes in the ice and setup the flags on your pole, etc. We provide fire wood on the side of the home for use in the fire pit. We have also added a two person private sauna, additional arcades, and other fun local fun items like a lobster pot and seafood cracking tools. Other things to note - Please be respectful of the neighbors. They work and disturbances would limit the ability to offer our home for others to relax and enjoy.
Lastly, we will contact you after booking to send you a simple two page liability lease due to being a waterfront property .

We are glad you had a wonderful stay Christopher as stated and were surprised how peaceful and and quiet things were. The only thing we would have preferred is if you had any concerns with anything that would detract from the 5-star review we seek for all guests that you would have communicated and given us the opportunity to make things right for you. Blessings - Joe and Jen
Fantastic property. We enjoyed every bit of the stay. Lake, hot tub and all parts of the cabin were great. Perfect location for the coast or a quick trip west as well.

Really enjoyed our weekend! The hot tub was just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The house was cozy and clean. Location was very quiet but close enough to town for easy access to shopping and restaurants. Hoping to come back in the warmer months to take advantage of the lake!

We are so glad you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere to relax at our Lakehouse. The lake is definitely worth visiting in the warmer months and we would be happy to have you back. Thank you for being a great guest. -Joe and Jen
The house was suboptimally cleaned. Clearly has not had a deep cleaning in a lot time. There was an open beer bottle in the upstairs children’s bathroom upon our arrival. We stayed for two nights with children. We wanted to wash our towels as we were there, only to find 4 laundry pods available for our entire stay. The hot tub was in rough shape. Brown chunky grime would appear after use. Our group was accused of damage that did not happen during our stay. They use VRBO insurance to cover their own wear and tear! Be careful if you do book and get insurance for your stay !!!

All I can say as a Premiere Host I am extremely disappointed by this experience. On a recorded line I was told this review would be removed and now it isn't. We have near 200 reviews on other platforms like Airbnb and never have received anything like this but if you are someone looking to book, you can simply compare it to every other review and make your own decision. She gave us no input on any issues, no opportunity to do anything about it, and then basically got upset because we filed an insurance claim for a broken hot tub cover during her stay that she is saying they didn't do. All we can do is go with the facts reported by our local team and the purpose of VBRO insurance is for this very purpose. They are currently working to cover the repair or replacement if it can't be repaired. This guest gave us a 1-star review and this is what a 1-star would match. None of this is even remotely true. It is just sad to see how some people will review people like this as if it doesn't matter at all. Unless you host a place, it is hard to understand both perspectives I guess, but to me this review is unwarranted and unfair but our ministry that gives 90% of our profits to charity to help people in need get clean water, has to live with this sadly.
The 1-star rating on VRBO signifies a terrible experience, indicating serious issues like misrepresentation, rude hosts, lack of response, or even health/safety concerns, essentially meaning the property should be avoided; it's the lowest score in a 1-5 star scale, reflecting a complete failure to meet expectations, leading to a significantly lower overall average score for the listing, affecting its search visibility.
The house was perfect for a large group and was really well appointed—they had everything we needed. The house was right on the lake and had a nice fire pit. The house was clean, but it smelled strongly of cat pee. I thought it was just because it had been closed up, so we opened the windows and it seemed to clear out. But it came back when the windows were closed for a little while and was very smelly by morning. That is the only reason for 4 stars. Otherwise, it was great.

Hello Kari. We are glad you had a great stay as stated! We are very sorry you encountered any uncomfortable smell. We will have our team assess that this week and see what can be done or what might have been causing it. I know you stated it smelled like cat pee, but I will say we don't have pets and have owned the home for a few years. Being directly on the lake in a wilderness setting, the cause could of been numerous things. The only thing we would have preferred is if you had any concerns with anything that would detract from the 5-star review we seek for all guests that you would have communicated and given us the opportunity to make things right for you. Our team could have come out and tried to see what could have been done to mitigate this. Blessings - Joe and Jen
My family picks a lake house every year to stay at, and this year we were lucky enough to find this beautiful home. It is directly on the water with great fishing, a couple of kayaks and a canoe for use, and a hot tub. The home is beautiful inside and has obviously been updated for a more modern feel, yet it still has the summer camp charm. It is on a quiet camp road, but only about 15 mins off the highway, and very close to downtown Augusta. We highly recommend this spot!

We are adding a zero-gravity full body massage chair and an exercise bike this month, so if you come back you will be able to enjoy those upgrades. Thank you for being kind and courteous guests. You are welcome back anytime! - Joe and Jen
We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The canoe, kayaks and boats were fun! Fishing was great. There were many things available for us to use both indoors and out, such as kitchen gadgets, outdoor chairs, beach towels, etc. The house was clean and comfortable. The upstairs was a great space for our kids! We enjoyed our time here! We had a few days relaxing around the house, but were close enough to the beach, Acadia, and Portland for some day trips too!
The house is beautifully decorated. It's a shame we couldn't spend more time there as we were all busy during the day. It would have been nice to take advantage of the beautiful lake. It comfortably fit the 10 of us and there were no issues. Nice welcome package for smores, stocked coffee pods. Massage chair is wonderful and some of the guests used the Hot Tub. I would definitely stay there again.

The house is beautifully located on this beyond gorgeous lake. The water is crystal clear. We went in January. The lake was slightly frozen yet You can see all the way to the bottom. Amazing views. The sunrise was stunning. The two main bathrooms/bedrooms are downstairs on the main floor, are very spacious. The upstairs bunk bedroom is giant. Lot of space to have lots of family fun. All around the great house.

I have a love for travel which my young family embraces as we work to get to all 50 states as they grow up. We have also traveled to 30+ countries and have a keen eye and passion for hospitality. My wife Jen is a nurse who is currently focused on homeschooling our amazing 3 biological children (Joshua, Samuel and Madalyn) as we wait for God to blesses us with the adopted children we have dreamed of. We currently take in short-term placements through Safe Families to prevent them from entering the foster system and are blessed to do so. We are inspired to own more property and use it to bring God glory as time continues. 90% of all of our profits go to dig clean water wells around the world for those in need and we seek to tithe the time of our property to missionaries, refugees and families less fortunate with amazing vacations.
