This space has been meticulously created with relaxation in mind. Every detail carefully curated and provided so you can disconnect and reconnect with whatever is important to you. The cabin is ideal for a quick get away with a loved one, a family vacation, or a small gathering. It is the perfect place to make a base camp so you can explore all the outdoor wonders that West Virginia has to offer. We are located within 2 miles of Audra State Park and steps away from Middle Fork River. The space Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations. As an extra cleaning step, we use Microban on all hard surfaces and have it available to our guests on the counter when you arrive.
The cabin has everything you will need to kick back and relax. The layout of the property was designed for ultimate comfort and the rooms are modern, open, and airy. We pay homage to the local communities throughout the Appalachian Mountain region by featuring decor and products in our home.
Our favorite feature of the cabin is the rear deck that wraps around the back and side. It is private and intimate and the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or to grill out and pay corn hole in the evening. A portion of the deck is covered with a swing and 4 adult adirondack chairs for ultimate relaxation. The open part of the deck has a picnic table, swing hammock, and opens up the night sky for star gazing.
A few steps away from the deck is the firepit that is set up with adirondack chairs and string lights to create the perfect setting for a campfire.
We have a very small yard on the side of the cabin, it is not suitable for "playing" however, there is a community park that is a 2 minute walk from the cabin. The community park has new swings, a slide, and a grass space for children to play. Right across the street from the park is where you have direct access to Middle Fork River. This is where the cover photo was taken. There are stairs that will take you down to the river bank to swim, float, kayak, or fish. The river feeds directly into Audra State Park and is a perfect "pick up" spot if you choose to tube down the river.
The kitchen is well equipped and we provide you with all of the utensils, cookware (pots, pans, cast iron skillet, bakeware, bowls, cutting boards, strainer), and small appliances (Ninja coffee maker, hot tea kettle, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, hand mixer, crockpot, instapot) that you will need. The kitchen table expands to comfortably seat 7.
The cabin has three bedrooms: one on the lower level with a queen bed, the other two bedrooms are upstairs with three full beds and four twin beds that are loft style (guardrails are available if needed).
There is a TV in the main part of the living room that has a couch, love seat, and an arm chair with a footstool. We have a DVD player with a variety of DVD's available to use during your stay. We also provide an Apple TV connector and Amazon Firestick. If watching TV isn't your thing there are a ton of board games, cards, puzzles, and books at the ready! Guest access We are located in a private gated campground community. Each property is owner-owned and no overnight camping is permitted. It is important to note that the access road to the cabin is a private gravel road and not maintained by the state. As a community we maintain this road but in transparency there are a few rough patches and recommend you travel at the posted speed limit of 10mph. We have a U shaped driveway in front of our home (enough room to fit 3 cars) and space to fit 1-2 cars on the side of home. If you have a vehicle with a small trailer it should fit in the spot on the side of the home. Other things to note We have well water at the cabin with a filtration system. The water is suitable for drinking, cooking, and showering/handwashing. You are welcome to bring bottled water if you don't like the taste of well water.
We do not have central air or heat in our cabin. We do have three AC window units in the upstairs and lower level bedrooms and a portable AC unit in the window downstairs to keep the cabin comfortable. There is a ventless propane fireplace in the kitchen that keeps the cabin cozy in the colder months. In addition, there is an electric fireplace in the living room that generates heat and we have portable heaters in the bedrooms if needed.
This also goes without saying but you are in West Virginia and in the woods so don't be surprised if you see a bug or spider on the deck or occasionally in the house. We do have a pest management company come out and spray once a month to keep them at bay but being in a highly wooded area they do like to wander.

Cute cabin and the owner was super nice. Loved that it was dog friendly. Unfortunately first impressions were not great from the outside and we had issues with the AC. Also just personal opinion the upstairs would only be able to be used
This was our third time staying here. We love it. Check-in was really easy. This time we spent as much time at the house and the surrounding area (Audra) as possible. We decided we wanted to relax instead of run. Love being able to take our dogs with us, also.
We were in town for a celebration of life. It was s nice stress reliever to enjoy the fire pit, outdoor lights and s'mores on Saturday evening. We appreciated the detailed instructions on finding and accessing the property. We would visit again and tell others about it! Thank you.
Nice home with all the amenities promised. Beautiful deck, porch swing, and fire pit in the yard. The only negative was outdoor grill was in need of a good cleaning. Quick drive to Audra State Park.
Overall experience was a wonderful time for friends and kids to get connected with nature. Kids loved the bed loft spaces and reading nooks with books available and the added things like coffee and supplies that could have been forgotten really added to the homey feel of the cabin. Only complaint was the reading nook pictured with the small bed and tent like structure, bean bag and lamp were not present in the room but a second small child chair with a chalk board was located in the second bedroom with 4 beds that saved the day for my 4 year old. Communication with the hosts were easy and very fast and pleasant to interact with.
We enjoyed our stay at the house. The setting was beautiful and the hosts were quick to respond to issues. The house and the deck area could have been a little cleaner.
College friends that love greeting together and enjoy going back to our beautiful campus

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us during your trip back to WV! Your group were awesome-great communication, left our cabin super clean, and respectful of our home. Your group is welcome back anytime!
We had a great time! Plenty of room for a family of 5. If you are looking to from a break from technology and to just get away, this is a great place to stay. Unplug and unwind!! Audra State park was beautiful!
Cute place. Wish we would have had more time to enjoy it
We were at the Strawberry Festival. We own JoJo's Taco and was being taped for a show with the Food Network. So we were very busy. But it had everything we needed and more.
Quiet little place in the river, felt like home away from home. The power did go out a few times during our stay due to high winds and a thunderstorm that rolled thru but it was nice to bust out board games by candle light and enjoy each other's company.
Very nice cabin. Nice property. If you're looking for super quiet, this is not your place. Tons of driving traffic, ATVs, and a neighbor that must've thought he was staying there as well. Overall, still a good experience.
The drive up was beautiful WV mountains. Our family really enjoyed the property, especially the wrap around decking. The home is cozy with necessities as listed. A quick walk and we were sitting on rocks in the river, fishing. The house and setting is as described, only wish we had another day to relax and enjoy it!
Home is a few minutes down a gravel road in a camp ground. There is little to no traffic so you can enjoy the sounds of nature. Covered back porch to sit on if raining - home was clean and pictures were accurate with the photos shown for the listing. Less than 5 min walk to nearby river
Had a great time. Plan on no cell reception and very limited internet -which was a great plus. Neighbors were great helping with any issues and communication when we were out of range.
The girls loved the loft areas, books and so many games.
Enjoy the family time here, you won’t be disappointed.

Nice Little Place
It's a nice place, kitchen has everything you need, plenty of room for 4 adults + some kids. Good luck finding a better spot with a WV back country woods off a beautiful deck.
Minor cons: WIFI is incredibly slow an will go out completely with clouds. Going up stairs can be challenging if you are over 5 foot. Check-in process needs an updated lock box.
