Great Break from the South Carolina Heat!

This is a great properly. Very mountainish with nice decor, great beds, very clean, quiet and extremely well located. Just what we were looking for.

Young family getaway

We had a lovely stay at the Laurel Cottage with our two young children. The stream in the backyard is perfect for entertaining little ones! The home is so close to downtown Cashiers and was a breeze to get to and from the restaurants, hiking trails and the playground in the village green. We can’t wait to come back!

Romantic Mountain Retreat

This is an immaculately kept mountain cottage with every convenience. It backs up to a lovely stream and has a back deck looking toward the stream. Plus, it’s only 2 miles from the town of Cashiers, which has a wonderful array of restaurants, hiking trails, and great shopping.

What a lovely stay we had here! This charming cottage was perfect! Super clean, easy check in & owner gave rapid responses to questions. I did not expect such a perfectly wonderful cottage in a magical setting and close to civilization. This past weekend proved to be one of the nicest surprises of the year. I hope to return every year!

This rental has a 10/10 rating, which I find hard to believe. Usually, that indicates top notch rental which my family and I were so excited for.Our cabin stay was a complete letdown. It was difficult to relax because the cabin was infested with stink bugs. They were everywhere and flying around us. The bathrooms were completely outdated and had an awful odor.The grounds were not maintained, and there were no views from the windows because of overgrowth. This cabin could be decent with some ground maintenance. It didn’t look like the photos.The cabin was not well-maintained, and for the price, it was very disappointing. Everything felt dirty and old. Pros: fireplace was gas and easy to use, the beds were comfortable, close to town.

Perfect place to stay for a visit

We went up to Cashiers, NC for a 60th birthday weekend. This was a great place for 2 couples to stay for the weekend festivities. The accommodations were wonderful. Very easy to find and check in.

My children grew up playing in this magical mountain stream in a backyard covered in lovely, soft moss, surrounded by ancient Mountain Laurel & Rhododendron. We now share with you and know you will love the peace and tranquility. While one cottage is set in the woods, nearby (but not in earshot) is a second cottage with the same floor plan, should you need 4 bedrooms instead of 2. Each bedroom has a king and it's own full bathroom & closet.

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location:
Once you get your bag unpacked, there is no rush to decide if you want to enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the peaceful stream and forest, or hike along Spring Forest Road that goes all the way to the top of the mountain called Cow Rock. Maybe you'd prefer to get your tee time at one of the many golf courses nearby. Make reservations way ahead of time for neighboring Canyon Kitchen at Lonesome Valley, or reservations at The Library or The Orchard Restaurant. Drop in for lunch or dinner at Cornucopia on Route 107, or enjoy Slabtown Pizza, a local favorite with killer chicken wings and salads. Highlands is a 20-minute jaunt to a quaint little shopping village on US-64. Stop along that drive at gorgeous Whiteside Mountain where you can see the next county over on a clear day.
