A Popham Beach Ocean Front Cottage with four bedrooms, two and one half bathrooms located on Atlantic ocean. Plus an outdoor shower! Property faces south on the Atlantic Ocean and is located north of Portland ME near the mouth of the Kennebec River. Popham Beach State park just west of property (about a mile). Walking distance from Spinneys Restaurant and two historic forts. It's about 10 miles from Bath, ME. Minimum 7 night stay - unless otherwise stipulated. Check in Saturday, check out following Saturday. NEW this year! Linens can be provided -$200.00 fee.

NOTE ON DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS: A fifty percent (50%) Deposit is required for each reservation. Deposits ARE refundable if your cancellation is received six (6) months or more prior to the first day of your reserved time. Deposits are not refundable if cancelled less than six months before the first day of your reserved time. Final payments will be required according to standard VRBO policy.

ALSO: If you are interested in a shorter visit (minimum 4 days) during the first two weeks of May - please send us a message. We can work with you on those two weeks.

Best view at Popham

Lifelong Popham visitors, first time staying at this property. The view from this cottage is THE best. Accommodations were perfect for our needs (5 adults, 3 teens). Master bedroom suite has an incredible view. Twin bunkbeds offered more room than I expected. Single twin bed is a little small but worked fine for us. Appreciate the bottled water available for cooking and drinking (Popham well water is fine for showering). Outdoor grill worked well for our group of 8. The kitchen is stocked pretty well. Electric flat top stove may require a learning curve if you’re used to gas. Fridge is large and we had no space constraints for a weeks worth of groceries. Owner was in touch the days in advance of our stay and responded quickly to questions. Lucky enough to meet a local family member on the beach who shared some of the cottage and beach history, which was very interesting to us. Plenty of parking spots. Wifi worked well. Furniture is comfy. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards provided, truly don’t need to pack them. There is poison ivy in the back and near the circle driveway but it is avoidable as long as you know what to look for.
