Penthouse in Kralendijk -- Waterfront - Beautiful

A beautiful penthouse with 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms , a living room and kitchen /dining room and a large outdoor terrace with bar and BBQ . You will love our oceanfront condo on the boulevard of Kralendijk, within walking distance to restaurants , grocery stores and the main tourist street (Kaya Grandi).

The condo has over 1700 sqft ( 160m2) including the outdoor living spaces . You will have a shaded area to relax outside or you can choose to sunbathe on the lounge chairs . Of course, many days you may end up watching the sunset from the bar .

We have been told many times by guests :”this must be the best view and location in Bonaire “ . Please read the reviews .The penthouse has everything one can wish for : walking distance to the beach in front of the unit and to the next door diving operator and to the famous Karel's pier -Bonaire’s one and only above the water bar and restaurant.

The condo has a firsthand view of the coming and going of the yachts that visit Bonaire and the cruise ships will pass directly in front of you .The security is excellent , a gate key is needed to enter the premises and the entry door is the only door on our floor level. The property is fully airconditioned , a rarity in Bonaire , but trade winds and ceiling fans will allow comfortable sleeping without airco’s in some seasons ,also because the property is fully screened against mosquito's. We ourselves usually start the living area A/C after sunset and the bedroom airco's an hour before retiring . During the day we enjoy the tradewinds which make the penthouse very comfortable , even without A/C.

We believe this is a premier place in Bonaire and we would not trade with anyone else because each morning we enjoy the view of the turquoise waters , the beaches of Klein Bonaire across and the distant view of the mountainous area of Bonaire in the Washington Park preserve. You can also on occasion see dolphin pods pass by while sipping your morning coffee(s) .

In the evening, we enjoy a cool drink –the local Amstel beer is called “Bright” and we rate the sunsets by assigning a number of Brights . A five Bright evening as shown in the photo is the best sunset you can experience in the Caribbean. Fortunately there are many great sunsets …

Local assistance with any problems/questions during your stay and the airport reception will be provided by our very capable property managers at BookavillaBonaire .

We have recently completed a remodeling of the guest bedroom, see photo. We now have room for 5 persons because the Master Bedroom still has the King sized bed , but the second (guest) bedroom has a queen sized bed and a twinXL ( single) bed . This may help to accommodate families with children.

We really enjoyed our stay in the penthouse! Karin was a fabulous host! She was very quick to respond with any questions we had. The 2 bedrooms were very spacious with extra linens and towels. The breezes coming through the windows were amazing! The kitchen had all we needed for cooking. The outdoor grill was great! Our favorite part was getting to watch the fireworks on the balcony on New Year’s Eve. Hope to visit again soon!

Perfect location

Villa is overlooking the beautiful ocean and walking distance to shops and restaurants. The villa was wonderful and Karin is the best. You must stay here when you visit Bonaire.

Great spot on a fun island

Loved the location, close to all restaurants (just a short walk) loved the 3rd story outdoor terrace with bbq grill, table, chairs, amazing views/sunsets. inside was nicely laid out, clean and everything you could need. Loved bonaire for the diving and windsurfing.

Enjoyed a fabulous 10 days with friends at this Penthouse apartment. The apartment has everything you need. The views are exceptional. The Manager Karin is excellent and very informative who was available by email and WhatsApp. I would recommend.

Perfect Bonaire Paradise

The Club Nautico penthouse is amazing, and has to be the best location on Bonaire. Walk to shops and restaurants, snorkel and swim outside the door, and a view that never ends. Thoughtfully stocked with utensils, books, games, beach supplies - felt like home from the first minute. Karin is fabulous and responsive on the island. Lucky to stay 6 weeks and didn’t want to leave. Thank you for sharing this paradise!

Our group of 3 divers had a wonderful stay at the Nautical Nest, the top floor of the 3-story building pictured. The caretaker was FABULOUS, - had cold beer in the fridge upon arrival, and assisted us in getting a rental truck when AVIS lost our reservation - probably the last truck on the island since it was Carnival Week. Would stay there again in a minute!

Beautiful with a catch

Amazing place right downtown on the waterfront. The catch is there is only street parking, which is full most of the time. Dive gear should be stored at dive shops so you dont have to haul it from wherever you parked upstairs.

A month in the "Nest"

Really great apartment - close to everything downtown, huge space indoors and outside, fast WiFi, excellent kitchen supplies, and cold A/C for the few nights the wind wasn't enough to cool the bedroom. The view of the sunset over the bay and Klein is a marvel - this spot is perfect for sun-downers and sunset watching. Check-in was super easy and the on-island manager Karin was fantastic to work with.

walking distance to restaurants & grocery store. Enjoyed condo. Had everything you could need. Only problem was its on 3rd floor, no elevator so climbing stairs with luggage/groceries/dive equipment was a little tough. Perk was excellent view from deck.

Amazing Rental, Close to Everything

We spent a week at this lovely penthouse apartment. The unit was clean, and set up so there was a constant light breeze through the unit (there is A/C throughout if needed, but we used only in the bedroom at night). The view from the deck/patio was amazing. Perfect location for watching the sunset after a day of diving. It is just a short walk to restaurants, shopping, etc. Property manager was lovely and communication was easy and prompt. If we go back (which we hope to do) my first choice would be to return to this rental!

Amazing Stay!

The Nest was absolutely amazing! The communication with the property manager before, during, and after our stay was clear, prompt, and helpful. The property was as described & more! The unit had everything we needed from dishes to comfortable furniture. The location was phenomenal. We could easily walk to downtown restaurants & shops. The balconies were the best features of the unit. We could sit outside and watch boats coming & going as well as see so much of the island. I thoroughly enjoyed my morning coffee on the balcony each day. Nights on the balcony provided a wonderful breeze that kept us cool and kept the mosquitoes away! We loved the unit so much we wanted to book for next year (unfortunately it was already booked for the time we plan to be in Bonaire next year). It will be very difficult to find something we like as much as the Nest on future trips! Thank you for a memorable experience!

Downtown Penthouse in Kralendijk

My family stayed comfortably in this beautiful penthouse located in the heart of Bonaire. The views were spectacular and everything was within walking distance. You can tell alot of thought went into decorating and making this condo feel like a home away from home. The outside deck is large and we spent so much time on it overlooking the gorgeous sea, boats and of course sunsets. We had a warm welcome and good communication with the owners and the property managers. Even a welcome drink was provided! Nice touch! I would definitley stay at this beautiful, waterfront penthouse condo again.

Wonderful Accommodations

We spent 2 weeks windsurfing and snorkeling. The penthouse was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 boys. The views are wonderful and the property well equipped. It was very nice to have a kitchen that fulfilled our needs. We found the listing to be accurate and the photos to represent the condo. It was clean when we arrived and well maintained. Parking was easy. The place if very secure. The owner and caretakers were extremely helpful. For example, we like to BBQ and ran out of fuel. This is very hard to come by on Bonaire. They were able to get us a full tank within a day. Otherwise, no significant wants or need. I would certainly recommend this property and will be returning next year.

Excellent rental in Bonaire

Three of us spent a week at Nautico over the New Year's holiday. We loved it. The place is immaculate, had everything that we needed, fully equiped kitchen, and an extraordinary patio from which to watch the town go by and the sunsets. Food next door is equally good. The beds were comfotable and clean. Inga was very sweet and helpful. One remark: we were unable to use the AC unit in the living room, as water poured from it onto the living room floor every time we used it. We told Inga and I'm sure they fixed it. Each bedroom has its own AC unit and those worked very well. The neighbors were friendly and there was plenty of parking space for our truck. The place is a bit spendy, but we got a little discount as we booked last minute. This place is highly recommended! Note: We came through Aruba and flew from there via DAE - not recommended, their flights are cancelled all the time, according to locals and so were we both ways. Choose Insel Air instead.

Great Location and Amazing Views

This was our first time renting this condo and we stayed two weeks. We felt like we were "home" as soon as we walked in. Absolutely everything you need is there. Since the owner actively uses it they leave a lot of day to day items there. We ate all our breakfasts, lunches and about half our dinners there. The gas bbq grill is a full size and works great. The location is in the middle of town with everything is walkable. The views and extensive outdoor areas are great! A/C's are in each room. When the trade-winds die down they are great to have. The local property manager, Karin, is a gem. Very quick to respond if you need anything and with great advice. As others have mentioned it is two flights of stairs up. It wasn't a problem for us as we leave our dive gear at the dive shop. Parking was no issue for us but perhaps it is different in the high season? We feel the location and grill more than make up for that. We would absolutely rent this condo again when it is available.

Best view on the island and a great unit

We loved our stay at the nest. Truly, this has to be one of the best views on the island. The unit itself was well maintain, had quality appliances, upgraded bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. It's location downtown cannot be beat with easy walking distance to food and shops The local manager, Karin, was a delight to work with and incredibly responsive when we had a small emergency. Now the heads up. These are not complaints, but more things you should be aware of: 1. It is downtown. That means that there is noise. No, not urban city noises but regular street noise. 2. Similarly, being next to It Rains Fishes is great, but you do get noise and smells from the restaurant and you can hear the garbage and recycling pick up in the early morning. 3. Being downtown also means no onsite parking. There is parking on city spots on the block behind the building which usually works. On the weekend with Bobojans is open you may need to wait for an opening. 4. Finally, the unit is on the third floor. There is no elevator which means stairs. Having a neuromuscular disorder made that challenging sometimes, but didn't stop our enjoying the unit. We cannot say enough positive things about the nest. Everything including a very reasonable price makes it a great unit on the island.

We emigrated from Holland to the USA in 1968 ; both changed to US citizenship. The family is fond of diving , so we have visited Bonaire since 1988 and after vacationing in other Caribbean diving resorts we selected Bonaire as the best choice. After we retired we purchased this condo.

Why they chose this property

Bonaire is a mix of Dutch , American and Lt American influences . Low crime rates and friendly people were important factors for us to choose Bonaire , besides the diving.

What makes this property unique

We walk to the town , to shopping , to restaurants . In the USA we have to drive 3 miles to the nearest store, so this location is a totally different experience . Relaxed living and enjoying the cultural sights and sounds of Bonaire , makes us come back 3 times a year.
