Outstanding place

  • 5 of 5

My wife, two daughters and two teenage friends had an outstanding time at this house. Being in Pupukea put us just a few minutes from town and walking distance to some of the greatest food trucks I have ever been to. Whale watching from the deck each morning was a highlight I will never forget. Listening to the roaring surf was hypnotic and we even secured a hammock to the pilings downstairs. Honestly, there is very little I would change about the place and I even cooked on the gas grill outside; despite 25 MPH winds. Don't waste your time on the leeward side of the island. Northshore is beautiful. Sunset Beach is amazing and Waimea park is the best spot on Oahu. I will miss this place for sure.

You couldn't find a better place to stay on the north shore than this. It is in a great location, secure and quiet. If you are looking for touristy though, this isn't it. This is the country side of the island, where relaxing and enjoying the ocean is the daily joy.

It is located near the Foodland for groceries, and more importantly Ted's bakery, where my kids asked to eat at least once a day. Shrimp trucks and the fun town of Haleiwa (matsumoto's shave ice) are just a short drive away.

The house is fantastic, views astounding. Full fabulous kitchen for making portugese sausage and eggs. Washer and dryer. There's a cute cat that visits and sits on the deck with you. BBQ on the deck works great. Some beach toys.

So, if you are looking to relax and enjoy your family at the beach this is your house. Cathy was easy to work with. It is secure. If you run, there's either the beach or a nice running trail along the road where the beach chickens keep you company.

Not a negative to say on this property, I thoroughly recommend it to all. The house has air conditioners to help you get used to the temperatures, but we didn't need them much by day 3.

Thanks Cathy, we look forward to coming back next year. Mahalo plenty.

This house was amazing! We stayed there for 7 nights and would not change one thing about this house or location. The two bedrooms with the two bathrooms attached to each bedroom was perfect for us (two couples). The kitchen was great and the views were spectacular. The covered deck that is overlooking the beach was well used as well as the grill. We enjoyed this house so much we found ourselves just wanting to hang out on the beach and spend our time at the house. If we ever go back to Hawaii, I would love to stay here again!!!!!! P.S. Cathy was amazing everything went smooth with the booking

Very hard to leave..

  • 4 of 5

We would wake up every morning and have breakfast on the verandah with big smiles on our faces with comments "how good is this!" The big winter swells would be breaking right in front of us, and the house would often have a bit of a shake. While it was too dangerous to swim out the front, we ventured to the lagoons at Turtle Bay and Shark Cove and also Haliewa to swim. It was fantastic to sit on the verandah for wine and beer time, watching the sunset and whales. Honestly, we just about cried when we had to leave!

The house was lovely and clean and had everything you would need for a stay. The fridge was huge! The owner and previous guests have provided beach chairs, goggles and snorkels and boogie boards to use. Bicycles would have been perfect.

Foodland was only a short distance away for groceries and had a good variety of everything. We loved going into Haliewa for coffee (at the Coffee Gallery, great coffee and food), a wander around and great meals at Cholos Mexican.

There is a security gate at the end of the driveway, so you do feel safe. The house is on Ke Iki Road, which runs parallel to the main road, but you don't really hear too much traffic noise.

Next time we wouldn't even bother staying in Waikiki, just come straight up here.

We love the fact that the North Shore is not developed and it is just really laid back. Keep the country, country!

Perfect location. Amazing house.

  • 5 of 5

My family came to the North Shore over the holidays. Cathy helped us find this place. It was amazing.

The view is beautiful. The house sits right on the beach but it is elevated so you can see everything. It is also surrounded by trees so you feel very private when sitting on the deck.

The outdoor deck was huge and had a great grill. It has a table and chairs, grill, and lounge. We spent a lot of time there.

The location was perfect. We could walk to all the famous beaches. There is a bike path right in front of the house that takes you up to Sunset Beach. We can walk to the grocery store. Hanalei Bay was a five minute drive. I also loved that the house was behind a locked gate.

The interior was really nice and recently remodeled. We had everything we needed. Two bedrooms. Two bathrooms. Two pullout couches. The person who decorated this place had great taste. It was clean. You do need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The place comes with soap and blow dryers.

If we ever go back to the North Shore, I am certain we will call Cathy and rent this place from her again.
